I would give them a negative star !!! I've been coming here for probably 20 years and It makes me sick to my stomach what I saw. I went in about ten minutes before they closed and no one was there so I went to stick my head in the back so they know someone is there and I saw the butcher cleaning the table he cuts meat on and he was SPITTING ON THE F*ing table as he was cleaning it with a rag. It's disgusting and I didn't know what to do and when he saw me he pretended like nothing happen and came out. I was in shock and didn't know what to say or do so I said I was there for only two pounds of meat and took it straight to the trash. When I got home my brother asked me y I even got the meat to throw away but I really don't know why I got it. I was just it shock and disgusted of what I saw. Now I'm telling everyone I know to never go there and report them to everyone they can. Don't go to this place unless you want a side order of spit. read more

just another meat market. I just stopped in here on a whim yesterday having received a surprise day off. I was thinking about all the places I wanted to go but never had the time for. I wanted to stock up on supplies for the week ahead. Having been to Costco the day before I was mostly curious as to whether or not smaller Mom and Pops would be offering better selection and deals. I stopped in here and came to the conclusion that it is about the same price per pound as all other markets in the area. However the fact that I had all my questions answered in a helpful and friendly manner made it better than most of the other local markets I frequent weekly. The steaks had beautiful bright red coloring and amazing marbling to boot. The attendant behind the counter made recommendations on what I should marinade my choice cuts with. Parking can be tough due to the fact that it is located along one of the busiest drags in Glendale. read more

I got meat from this place it smelled really bad, it smelled like it's been sitting in the store for months. When I tried to return Gevork owner gave me very nasty attitude, I think they paint the meat with food coloring to make old meat look good. I'm never shopping her again . read more

The BEST one-stop butcher shop for Armenian-style kebabs!!! I've been a customer here for many years...the brothers Gevik and Asbed really know how to take care of their customers. I can't eat lamb at most places, it just ends up tasting too gamey for me. But the french cut lamb chops they have here are AMAZING. Just give them a call at least an hour in advance before you pick it, it really helps them out to prepare it for you...otherwise all the other styles of kebab (beef, chicken and pork) are ready to go! read more
