I don't ever write reviews or rate them. But... I truly was impressed with not only the very thorough work that was done on my car, but I really appreciate the extra "little" things that he had found and fixed along the way (at no charge as well). When I've taken my car to other auto shops before, I can say I've never felt I had an honest experience with any of them. Right away, Dennis was straight forward and detailed with me after a careful inspection. I appreciated that he took time, and was genuine when answering my qu estions, and helping on such short notice. Once He took time to explain parts being ordered and time frame it'd take, he started right away. I brought my car in on a Thursday, and no joke, come Monday morning, he's calling me letting me know it's ready. Upon arrival, immediately he showed me everything that was done, including showing me the warn out/corroded parts he replaced, did some additional "fixes" at no cost (front light, rotate tires that previously put on wrong, etc). He also suggested a few recommendations that were super helpful. I felt that he priced everything at a great, more than fair price for sure. Dennis made the whole process easy-peasy, and he was both very time efficient and thorough with the work on my car. Its dang near impossible to find real honest, decent, mechanics anywhere anymore, and by the grace of God, and a friends recommendation, I found one! Dennis is frankly exactly what I needed - and what most of us need - an honest, transparent and gifted mechanic. You want prompt attention, skilled diagnosis and repairs, and importantly fair pricing, just go to DVV. And trust him. I came to Dennis with a failed smog test and ridiculously little information to help him diagnose it. His shop is cluttered and nondescript; it was close to the end of the business day. But he quickly got my car upon a lift, clicked on a headlamp and without any diagnostic codes to guide him, peeled past two layers of undercarriage protections to find two hidden cracks in my exhaust system. He easily could have done the repairs, but recommended another shop, with specialized tools and a lower labor rate - half the cost to me. For 45 minutes of incredibly fast, intuitive detective work, he charged me very little. For the same checkup at most other places I consulted, they wanted twice to four times as much before starting work. So look past the flashier repair shops, past the crowded lot and clutter at DVV. You'll find a magician and leave confident that your vehicle problem is solved expertly and as inexpensively as reasonably possible. read more

Before I considered contracting their services, I communicated my needs to them. They responded by insisting that I needed to be more specific. I even sent a picture of what I required and clearly stated that I needed a mobile service. The owner replied in an upset tone, saying he wasn't sure why I thought that. When I pointed out that his business had responded to my request and that there was no need for his rude exclamation marks or sarcastic remarks, he continued using exclamation marks and insisted that no one was being rude.
