You are paying 200 in labor for a couple YouTube car mechanics that cause more problems than fix. They will tell you that they look at everything but it's clear they don't. Your team LIED to me regarding my transmission fluid. I was told it was LOW and needed to be filled. However, upon my own inspection with my father who is a mechanic along with basic research on my 2013 Mazda - THE TRANSMISSION FLUID WAS FULL, IT IS GOOD FOR THE LIFE OF MY VEHICLE. THE FACTORY SEAL TO CHECK THE TRANSMISSION FLUID WAS NOT BROKEN THEREFORE NO ONE ACTUALLY CHECKED. You should be ashamed of yourselves for lying and misleading me into spending nearly $400 more dollars on a service I DID NOT NEED. Had I actually had the money I'd have taken your predatory advice. God damn shameful. Additionally, you all very likely used the wrong oil for my vehicle as I was advised to return in 5k miles. However, when using SYNTHETIC OIL, oil changes can be delayed up to and beyond 10k miles. My car REQUIRES synthetic oil. 10/10 do not recommend as they will try to take advantage of people's lack of understanding of cars. They are not to be trusted. read more

We kept needing to reinflate one of our car tires since the weekend. Took it to Les Schwab and they couldn't find anything wrong. Today we noticed it was deflated again. Took the car in to AAC without an appointment, expecting to have to come back for it. They were courteous and informative throughout the encounter. They evaluated/repaired my tire (Les Schwab overlooked it BTW) and completed an oil change within appx an hour as I waited in their large air-conditioned lobby (much appreciated on this 105 deg day). read more

The owner of this company just called the owner of the company I work for to try and get me fired?? In trouble? My boss just called to tell me the owner of advanced just did this.. really.. ever go to a mechanic and have them try and get you fired?? Yes I work with vehicles..I stated numerous times it was my car not fleet.. this is what happens? BBB,call curtis, I will also bed pouring on youtube the audio of the tech or manager yelling at me.. I did not get a fleet discount.I got ripped off.. that's fine I agreed to it. I paid out of pocket. I only mentioned i work there because my car was towed from there. Was just called and yelled at for my review. Told I didn't handle things correctly. Ok.. so my car was towed there on Friday. Diag $125.00 It's my starter. OK ,how much will it be...$498.00. Umm the cost for a new starter is between 53.00 and 117.00. Called and spoke with a " manager" and stated the costs..ok.. We have to come up on a bunch of money too, the starter is $100..I need to make money.. was the answer..sooo..350?? Ok.. my car's there what choice do I have. All calls are recorded. I have this call. He agreed to 350.00..so did I. I pick up my car on Monday and it smells like human urine or cat pee. All doors unlocked and windows down, out on west capitol in West Sac... the cost 350.00 yeah. 125.00 diag..62.62 labor .. then 150 for part?? Doesn't add up to 350.00?? I like to begin my reviews with a positive comment: Justin seems like a nice guy and a hard worker, and I hope he finds a better place to work. Now, the rest: this shop is terrible. Advanced Auto Center took almost 3 days to tell me they have no idea what's wrong with my car, nor how to fix it. I had to call the company several times per day, every day, for days on end to get my own updates. After all that, they still charged me almost $150 for the "diagnostics" which revealed precisely nothing of value. As if all that wasn't bad enough, Advanced Auto Center did not require their employees or customers to wear face masks inside their own lobby. Several people in the lobby, including multiple employees helping customers, weren't wearing masks. Yay COVID! If you're looking for dudes who won't fix your car but might give you a terrible infectious disease, this is your one stop shop! I wouldn't have taken my car to this shop but for mileage limitations imposed by AAA. If you have any choice, spare yourself the infectious disease and go elsewhere. read more

My fiancé brought his BMW 650i here on Thursday for an oil change and service. We knew there was something going on with it and wanted to get it checked sooner than later. Team member Justin took care of everything. Unfortunately more was wrong than what we'd hoped for, but Justin was so transparent with everything, not pushy at all. He explained everything in detail, was so communicative, and even sent diagrams to really understand the importance of what was going on. We decided to go ahead and have everything done, Justin was so patient as we needed time to think about the overall costs. Great Customer Service! Side note: Everything was competitively priced. From the oil change to the labor and services. Justin had everything done promptly, but we had a trip planned this weekend. Justin had no issue with us leaving the car on site with them until we returned. Thank you for being so accommodating Justin and team! Originally came here just for a diagnosis a few months back, but the professionalism and the super friendly customer service is what drew me back in. I came back on a Saturday for a tire rotation and a brake fluid replacement. They were already pretty booked up for the day seeing six other people and they were only open for four hours on that day but they still squeezed me in and got it done quickly. Labor cost is a little on the pricey side, but you're definitely paying for high quality service. I will definitely be returning in the future. read more

I've been taking 3 cars here for at least 7 years. It took me a long time to find a good, communicative, reliable shop that wasn't a dealer. Justin is very up front about what needs to be done, what can be done later, and different repair options. I have special needs for my vehicles (sports car, off-road, and family van) and he will often work with me to find the right aftermarket parts. Lastly, I purchased a vehicle private party, they performed and exceptional assessment which helped me make a well informed decision. Do yourself a favor and take your car here. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. If I could star a court case I would. I was overcharged and lied to by Justin. He told me they timed a job on a basic subaru car for 2 control arm and 2 ball joint and 2 strut replacement on front only. He told me it took the technician 9 hours timed with a timer from start to finish when in reality he cheated me charging me 1500 in labor only. He told me he was using subaru oem parts, another lie. He used oem equivalent parts. He cheated me using the all data system to charge me for separate jobs when all the parts are in the same vicinity. I filed a credit card dispute knowing I was cheated by Justin. The next day Justin came banging on my door. Did you hear me business owner??? Your service advisor Justin drove to my house and banged on my door threatening to call the cops on me Yada yada...Yada.... read the credit card dispute laws and rights to consumer. Me and you both pay the credit card company for these rights to dispute. Credit card disputes are civic suits and completely legal. I had three people work on my car before I finally called Advanced. The starter has been changed but it still wouldn't start and nobody could figure it out. I called and they arranged for a tow for me and have my car fixed same day at not very much at all! David and Justin were both awesome and I am definitely taking my car back there again. read more

I had a very flat tire but fortunately it went flat a half block from the Advanced Auto Center. After looking at the tire it was discovered I had fairly low tread and some dings on the tires. They gave me a very good price on a set of new tires and even though they were booked for the day, they said I could leave it to pick up when done. They had very good customer service, a reasonable price and even offered to drive me home while I waited. I recommend this company for auto service in the future. read more

My first visit was great. Bought two tires for my Camry. The lady was super nice and professional. No complaints. But I brought my car in a second time and for headlight replacement s because I got news for Xmas. The lady quoted me around $250 because the bumper had to be removed. I felt that was fair and I didn't want to go through the hassle myself. I sent my girlfriend in because I had to work. I get a call from Justin saying that the parts didn't fit correctly. I responded by telling him ok, I don't want to run up a tab to just put back on the original ones. Turns out they charged me $360. Way not cool and over charged by a lot. Really in need of some auto repair work. Contacted the front desk and spoke with a Sarah or Stacy? Called her at 830am this morning. She had said she would call me back with a price quote for an auto part I need. I myself called her back at 1130 after waiting for her "quick call back". When I spoke with her again, she told me she would check two other catalogs and return my call. That was at 1130am today. It is now 4pm, and I have to have received a call back. I would deem this as horrible customer service. What ever happened to the positive customer services where people would actually care about the customer's need for a good or service?! I can't even get a call back? There are plenty of other qualified people for your job. You are expendable, I just don't know how employers continue to hire and keep people like this wen these people are costing them potential income. Makes no sense. I had my car towed here from another shop thinking they will help me quicker since the first shop was closed. Turned out this shop was not a great choice. They are unresponsive. I had to keep calling them to follow up on the status of my car. I don't even think they really diagnosed it like they said they did cause they had no documents to prove they diagnosed it. I had to pay them for "diagnosing" my car so they release my car to be towed to a new shop. But where's the paperwork showing they diagnosed it? Very poor customer service. My car needed a laundry list of repairs, according to the dealership, that amounted to over $10,000.00, which was well over the value of the car. I shared my concerns with Shawn at the front desk and desire to confirm whether the issues were valid or not and what actually needed to be done to resolve my AWD not functioning properly. They were extremely honest and communication was absolutely transparent as to what they would charge for diagnosing the issue, as well as for parts and labor. I was contacted after about 4 hours of my car being in the shop and they confirmed that many items the dealership was considering a red flag were minor, but did confirm some items were legitimate concerns. In the end the repairs I needed were able to be done for just under $2,500.00, which was much more palatable for my budget and for keeping the car. I highly recommend this shop and will definitely be using them in the future as my car still has some things to take care of, but now I know I have a solid replacement for my auto repair needs! read more

I trust and have had Advanced Auto Center work on my Corvette, Infinity, and classic Chrysler. I like that they do full inspections on your vehicle during your oil change but don't pressure you to buy or fix anything. The waiting area is very clean and comfortable and the service is prompt. I feel like this store is probably family owned yet still very professional. I am so happy with their service that I am opening a fleet service account and having my hotels shuttle vehicles serviced there! In my (relatively) brief time as a car owner, I've twice been burned by other auto repair places in West Sac. Knowing that, I was hopeful about some of the reviews I'd read for Advanced, and then by the great experience my wife had with them not long ago for some maintenance on her 02 Toyota. Long story short: My 05 Toyota had been sluggish and had the check engine light on for months. I take it to another auto repair shop, and get sticker shock because they say the error code is for the transmission, and quoted me $1,600 for a rebuild. Not able to afford it at the time, and hoping to find a better deal (and just procrastinating), I sat on it and just drove the car around town. The light stayed on and it still felt sluggish, so I opted to call Advanced. Right off the bat, I was impressed by Justin's (I believe) candor and the time he took to walk me through what to expect over the phone, all before setting up an appt. After dropping the car off, Kristen was great about continually calling me with updates. I also appreciate the fact that they often take photos during the assessment, and include it in the report that can be texted to you. Kristen always asked my permission before further work, gave me accurate pricing, and even was upfront about the fact that they wouldn't charge labor for a specific thing they were doing because it was so close to what they were already working on. All told, I walked out of there with a much smoother ride, and a great customer service experience. And do you want to know the punchline to all of this? It wasn't even the transmission! There were no transmission error codes, and it was a variety of other little things that contributed to the issues I had been experiencing. After telling them I was prepared to go in for a rebuild or a new tranny, they could definitely have fooled me and went along with it. But they were honest and didn't do any unnecessary work. The check engine light is off, and the car's being driving great. They even gave it a free courtesy check within a week afterward to fix something that was making noise, associated with their previous work. All in all, a great experience and great customer service! I trust them more than anybody else in town now with my car. read more

I trusted Advance Auto Center with all maintenance and repairs on my Ford Escape for 3 years and would for much longer if not for the fact that I am moving to Texas. Justin and Kristen have always been great at explaining issues and making sure I understand what work their mechanics are doing and why they are doing it. At one point I came in simply because my undercarriage had somehow come loose and Justin put in the extra effort calling around town trying to find the apparently uncommon bolt type that Ford had used. When a shop goes the extra mile for something that minor you know you can trust them with the bigger jobs. I always will HIGHLY recommend this shop to anyone looking for a trustworthy place. We used this shop because of the good reviews on Yelp. I recommend this shop. We took our car in thinking it would need a small repair and it ended up needing a lot of work (isn't this always the case?). They were very helpful and explained everything, even showed me the old parts that were replaced. They did their best to save me money and went the extra mile to keep me informed. Their shop is clean and they offer rides to and from you house to pick up and/or drop off your car. My car repair wasn't cheap, but if I was going to pay anybody for the work I would rather pay honest and dependable people. read more

Great quality of work and never had any issues. In the past, they've given me courtesy rides home, picked me up when they finished and worked on my friends cars as well. They have a contactless key drop and free vehicle pickup system from your house which has been nice to minimize exposure during Covid. Definitely recommend to friends and family. read more

I personally think I got really lucky. I looked into some auto places that would give me a diagnostics test but initially I was close to sure about a specific issue. So needless to say, the friendliness of the staff was exquisite. I only just got my car back today, but i feel listened to, and I feel like I can trust these people very intensely. They will definitely be my new go-to repair shop, and even for my oil changes and other typical things. I feel terrible because I can't remember the receptionist at the front desks name, but she was so sweet to me, and very straightforward in her recommendations which I found respectable and commendable. Sara, Kenny, and Dillan are awesome! The customer service and dedication is above reproach. Advanced Auto had to keep my car for two days so I needed a rental. They covered one day of the rental when they didn't have to. In addition, I had some work done by Roseville Toyota which was questionable and Sara offered to call Toyota herself and explain what Kenny and Dillan were finding wrong with my car. She dealt directly with the Service Manager, Cole. Cole was so impressed by her he asked me if I thought she would go work for them!! Cole took the situation serious enough that he had me come back and work with him and a technician named Josh, bypassing the service advisers(who were useless). There was nothing in it for Sara other than her desire to see customers treated right and she went above and beyond to make sure that happened. Regarding the work they did for me - I've had no issues (happy customer!) and will gladly return for future service. If they worked on RVs I would have taken mine there too! read more

Unfortunately my son went here without asking we where to go. Even though he knew what needed to be replaced they insisted on a $145 diagnosis which is short for making you pay for them to look for more business opportunities. They quoted him nearly $900 for what I had done at a nearby shop for under $200, same year/model and same exact part. Ended up doing it ourselves for $45 and about an hour of our time. If you don't know much about fixing vehicles this place will gladly take your money and then some. read more

BE AWARE this place pays to remove negative comments. It really should have one star! I have been burned with them TWICE!!! First time 7 years ago I went to change oil and all of the sudden I left with a check engine on and a quote of over $1,200 to fix the car. Mind you I NEVER had issues with car. I went to different place and they quoted me $180, issue was fixed. Now different situation I bought an older car for my sister that runs like a champ. Recieved an advertisement from them for oil change for $19 so I thought might just do oil change. End up paying $65 for oil because it was a special oil that car apparently needed. Ok that's fine. But here is the trick! Dude made a scene telling us car is in extremely bad condition to drive and it needs to be repaired right away, showing us paperwork and a quote of $1,800 plus, that's not including changing tires, just parts and labor! I told him its ridiculous and we left. I went to the mechanic that I called in previously whenever I buy a car, he checked car again and like previously he told me the tires needs to be changed in few months. It's been over an year and car runs like a CHAMP without ANY ISSUES!!! This place will scam you STAY AWAY!!! And stop sending me reminders for services!!!! I'm not interested!!! On 12/23/14, I arrived at this business because my battery had died. I was told by the lady at the front counter that it would be a certain price that I agreed to. After they had taken my vehicle in and had removed the battery, she told me it was a completely different price, $80 more. I'm a grandmother and on a fixed income. I had to pay the price. This past weekend, on 2/11/17, this same battery was completely dead. I called AAA and they charged it, but it kept dying. So I was sold a battery that lasted less than three years. YES, I know I can go back to this business, but that would be a SHAME ON ME. I will never go back there again and will never recommend this place to anyone. I Been here a few times since it open, it used to be a good place to go to, customer service Is not what it use to be at this place. Labor has sky rocketed , to over 100 dollars, and up the labor rate more with the longer the job takes, might as well take to the dealer! Seems as everytime I took my car in that there are new mechanics all the time, which is scary...the last time I brought my car in I went in. For an oil change an a brake check, they said all was fine... well I went on my way..the next morning I noticed a little puddle of oil on my drive way.. I went to a shop close to home, and told me my dran plug was ready to fall out!.. and one of the mechanics because I told them what I went to have done at advanced auto center for told me he could see through the rim that my brakes were all most gone! So I had them do the imspection...And long behold! My brakes were 1mm before grinding! I usually have my mechanic looking at this stuff but he wasn't available at that time! Advance auto center use to be good...but has gone down hill, I now tell my friends to stay away from this place!, this place use to have a family feel, but now it seems as it is all business...as my business will be for sure elsewhere!! read more
