Promises to have excellent work and that the work will be done correctly. However, the workmanship overall is not good, several issues had to be resolved. Stephen (if he comes) shows up on site for maybe 30 mins at the beginning of the day. Stephen doesn't check any of the work to ensure its up to code or if he does, he doesn't know the code and will cause rework later. I requested all work to be permitted at the beginning of the project. After questioning when the inspector was coming, his workers said Stephen was dealing with that. Stephen never filed for the permitting until I told him it had to be done. Work had to be paused for a month while waiting for inspector to come to the house. Cracks in grout from install after 2 months. I found out there was no Schluter or hardy board under the tile and it was put directly onto plywood. After 3 attempts to repair by just adding more grout into the cracks and caulking into the grout, I complained enough that he replaced it with LVP. They poured a concrete pad right before a frost and mounted the split unit condenser on it 2 days after pouring. I asked Stephen to fix this and his response was "it's a useable pad". I was so feed up with the excuses and the terrible workmanship that I didn't even want him to come back. Several other items had to be fixed, mounting the split units within 2 inches from the ceiling, not cleaning the walls before painting, stripped screws, and overall just terrible finishing work. The other issue I had was that they used my tools and shop vac while working on the projects without consent. Completely unprofessional. Stephen Hale offers a good price but the headaches and numerous failed inspections were a nightmare. Spend a little more and avoid the problems.

Keeps saying he's been in contact with the building inspector but when we contact the building inspector, they haven't heard from him. Even arranged an appointment to have him meet with the building inspector and he never showed up.

We called him for a small closet job. He said he'd be here Wednesday afternoon. We confirmed via text on Tuesday night he planned to do the work Wednesday. We emptied closet contents into our small condo. Sean texted Wednesday afternoon asking if he could come Thursday instead. We only had Wednesday free this week. Sean seems unable to show when he says he will. When he does start a project, the work is high quality.

After months of winter and a window not closing properly and asking for the window to be evaluate, I contacted Rings End Lumber who sold him the product. Ring's End came out to evaluate. The locking device was broken. Ring's End ordered the parts. Fixed! I have gutter problems. Water overflows and drains from the gutters. The end caps drip for days rusty water on my new patio. Have you ever seen gutter's installed level? You can't walk out the front door during rain without getting soaked! After contacting Sean and the installer, Dominic at Home Design, New Haven, multiple times over the last year and a half with promise of repair, I have contacted several companies who report that the actual installation is not correct. Rain flows over and between the house and the gutters. The pitch of the gutters is incorrect, and the installation is not to expected standards. I am now paying for new gutters! Beware! Totally unacceptable business practices!
