Mr. Terrance Harris along with his son Traevon (together make up the 2 in the proclamatory name of their company) have taken care of my lawn for approximately two years now and I can say that they have never failed to please me with their final product. For decades I managed to take care of my yard alone. In that time I nurtured it carefully so that today it has become, at least for me, a calming and peaceful retreat. In recent years, however, I have had to give up my bi-weekly attention to it upkeep. Thus I was very cautious in choosing a lawn services company. I wanted one that would commit to a regular schedule, rain or shine, and that would maintain a dedication to its maintenance similar to the level that I had been committed to over the years. I can say that I found that company in Willing 2 Work. From day one Mr. Harris showed great interest in my needs and listened patiently to my peculiar litany of needs when mowing, trimming and generally maintaining my yard. He respected my requests and, over the course of these two years that he has never failed to deliver his services exactly to the level of my demanding instructions. He hasn't cut corners, or changed his methods in the delivery of his services, at least not without first consulting with me, explaining politely, succinctly and convincingly why his way was better. I am old and set in my ways, but not so set as to demand a businessman provide a service in a manner that is contrary to his own efficient means of doing business. I have learned much from this kind, hard-working gentleman, and am happy that I found him just at the time when someone of his professional attitude was needed. Before the work began, we were told there was only minor mold present and that remediation wasn't necessary because the encapsulation would take care of it. We relied on that professional guidance when making our decision. After the work was completed, we discovered extensive mold growth beneath our home--so severe that it required more than $7,000 in professional remediation. Beyond the financial hit, this raised serious concerns about our family's health due to prolonged exposure. After I left my initial review, Ray, the general manager, reached out. I hoped this meant AFS was willing to work toward a fair resolution. Instead, he maintained that because they believed nothing was wrong with the installation, the company bore no responsibility for what happened. Although we were invited to share what would make things right, no solution or support was ever offered. What made the situation even more frustrating was that Ray never offered to have anyone inspect the encapsulation or verify the quality of the work. Instead, he questioned the credibility of the independent mold remediation company we hired and repeatedly emphasized that AFS is the "number one encapsulation company in the United States." The conversation felt less about addressing our concerns and more about defending the company's reputation. We asked AFS to help cover the cost of remediation because we had followed their recommendations and were left with a significant and unexpected expense. Even if they disagreed with our request, we expected some effort to investigate the issue or meet us halfway. Instead, they declined entirely and showed no interest in evaluating their own work.
