Dana's report indicated that while there was a single area of the roof that was holding water, the roof was otherwise fine. Well, within a month of moving in we had massive water intrusion problems in multiple areas. Of the four areas we had water intrusion in, only one was identified by Dana, and they failed to note that entire sections of the roof tiles were rotten and needed replacing. Somehow they also failed to notice any signs of water damage within the home itself. I cannot in good faith recommend Dana and I feel like they let us down pretty badly with their inspection.

He asked if I could give him a few day's to send the email of the typed report or Icould pay a few to have the report next day. When I didn't receive the emailed report I called Mr. Scott to remind him, and that's when he informed me that his computer had crashed but he'll be sure to send as soon as he work things out with the computer. One week later on today, I called Mr. Scott asking for the report, he became very combative with me. When I responded to his disrespect he hung up the phone. He was being unreasonable, unprofessional, and not holding himself accountable. It wasn't till later that I found out that he had left his baseball cap in his car the displayed the Confederate flag, which pretty much summed it up as to how he was speaking to me. Worst and least useful home inspection report that we've ever received. The first report consisted…read moreof a PDF attachment and a link a completely different PDF file. The PDF attachment listed two "concerns" involving smoke and carbon monoxide detectors but no other information--most importantly, no discussion positive or negative of any of the other parts of the home that were inspected. The linked attachment listed three other concerns and noted that the HVAC couldn't be tested because of the cold weather--again, no discussion of any other parts of the home. We followed up with the inspector, who indicated that there was an issue with the computer system that generated the reports. A day later (as the due diligence period is ticking), the inspector posted a longer report. The report was missing some of the items from the first report, so ANOTHER report was posted. However, the final report mostly added pictures with almost no extra text. This is the first home purchase where we have not been able to accompany the inspector, and we really regret it. The reports were not up to a professional standard, and I STRONGLY recommend looking elsewhere.
