Today is Friday the 13th and they have a special. They said they be open all day till 10 at night for it. I just went in for a simple butterfly tattoo and there wasn't even 10 people in the lobby. The ladies said they are way too booked to do my tattoo. Which is weird because it's first come first serve for the special and with less than 10 people in your lobby it doesn't even make sense to disregard anyone. I'm never coming back here. Hands down best tattoo experience I've ever had! The shop is clean, bright, welcoming, and comfortable. The artists are all very friendly and approachable. I had the owner Brandon do a 1/4 sleeve for me and his work is top notch, I already scheduled my next session to continue building my sleeve and can't wait! He was upfront with costs and expected timeframe to accomplish the project. He offers numbing cream so the tattoo process is virtually pain free, I've had several tattoos at other shops, and never had numbing cream, what a total game changer wow!! I literally chilled all day in the chair watching Netflix while Brandon worked on my tat for hours, it felt like cheating! Then he wrapped it with a special wrap that kept it clean and sped up the healing process over the course of that week which eliminated the work of constant cleaning etc like the old days. Tattoo Horror Story Today, Friday the 13th was a special day for my friends and I. We got to Dying Breed Tattoo shop at 10:30AM, waited in line till about 11:45AM where we were all assisted in doing paper work for getting our flash tattoos. Original wait was 4-5 hours, we were told we'd receive a text/call at the time it was our turn, cool. We leave.. 7 hours comes along, then goes to 8 hours, we call and ask how much longer since it was past the original time we were told. We were told 15 people were on the wait time but that we could come in to discuss ideas and concepts for our flash tattoos. It was a miscommunication, we get there 10 minutes after calling and in confusion we thought they were ready to help us as it had already been 8 hours.. We are then told it'll be 2 more hours. For sure. That's fine, we understand that tattoos take time. We wait three hours then go to the shop. It's now 10pm. We call and ask about an estimate on how much longer, we're told it's going to be another two hours. At 12:40AM we were finally called to be able to go inside, we show them our ideas and for an oni mask I'm told to up the size by $113, I can't afford it so I settle on a cute little Boo tattoo. Aiden was really helpful and sweet as I sat with my friend Ryan during his tattoo, his line work was flawless and something I immediately pointed out. He was very sweet and interacted with us during the tattoo and made me feel comfortable. It was my turn to get tattooed by a man in a red hat with AirPods in.. I walk over and he's in a conversation with another artists, I say hello but he seemingly ignores me and continues on with his conversation before telling me to sit down. He doesn't say a word to me, aside from "hello" "how's your day going" and that's about it. He doesn't seem at all interested in his work, I understood he was probably tired and just sat quietly while he did his thing. Immediately first line.. I notice he seems to sketch the lines in with a thin needle instead of following through with a thicker needle for a thicker, cleaner line. He explained this as just.. "opening up the skin." I didn't understand that as I've never had an artist do that before but I trusted him. He starts messing up, badly, the lines looking shaky, scratchy and with absolutely no effort. Aiden comes to my rescue, seeing how quickly anxious and nervous I was getting. He tries to fix this other artists mistakes, being very easy and reassuring about the process but it also turns out he was SHOWING this artist what to do. I really wish they would have disclosed I was being tattooed by someone newer to the industry because I would have flat out said NO. Aiden does his best, but the scratchy lines, messed up eyes which I should also mention, the first tattoo artist put his eye shines on the bottom instead of at the top of his eyes.. even though he had a reference right infront of him. He didn't really look at that much either. At the end I'm left with a scratchy, shaky tattoo with huge unfinished gaps in the shading. He pulls away and says "Okay it's done" with obvious parts he missed but he just doesn't seem to care. I'm obviously shaken up, he asks for criticism and I tell him as nicely as I could that I didn't like it, that it was shaky, that it was overall unfinished and that I didn't feel comfortable with continuing. Immediately the owner; being Brandon Allton comes over, asking what was wrong and I explain to him the same thing, again, very politely. He very rudely says "Well it's a $31 tattoo you're getting at 3AM and we've been here since 9AM." I understand and appreciate all the efforts, but this is something that was going on my body forever. Price or not this was a well established business I put my faith in and was severely let down then completely disrespected. Would there have been more effort if I was paying more? I'm an artist myself, and an aspiring tattoo apprentice and to see monetary value put over the effort, skill and patience to a tattoo that is going on someone's skin FOREVER is completely disgusting to me and a shame to artists that will do their best no matter the price, size or content of a tattoo. I thankfully was given my deposit back and was issued a refund, Aiden was so nice as to offer me another piece free of charge but that's not what matters to me. Please just do better. Be better. I won't be returning and I encourage others to stay far away from this shop, I was embarrassed and shamed for having an opinion on something that's going on my body forever. My friends all received great tattoos from other artists and were shocked at how the owner acted and all agreed they wouldn't come back. read more

I think you artis don't give you the proper information I ask for a lion and he show me a lion the first time and I like what he show me . When I come to finally do the tattoo I don't change anything. What it Come from him is that he is going to add colors. I don't chose any of that . And he don't say anything before the session that is going g to take more that 10 hrs. All what I hear at the end is that I have to pay 300 more on top of the price that he give me the first time. Biagio is hands down the best piercer I've encountered. I got my nose piercing done at another shop on Sunday and realized the stud was sinking into my skin upon healing about 3 days later. I gave the shop a call and was directed to Biagio who said to just come in and he'd take a look. He had amazing knowledge on piercings and let me know the stud I had on was an aftermarket jewelry and he switched it out for me and gave me information I was not told before. He was super fast with the process of switching my studs out and not even 24hrs later, my nose looks amazing. No sinking, no swelling, barely any redness. I was holding off on leaving a review because I felt as though the situation was handled already. Though now, it has escalated to an online disagreement between what happened and the expectation of tattooing. My friends and I searched for a few weeks prior to Friday the thirteenth for shops that would have deals. we all settled on one shop, The Dying Breed, because their deals were pretty hard to beat. After arriving at 10:30 am, thirty minutes after the shop opened we waited in line for about an hour. This isn't to be unexpected as they do have deals and people of course want to take advantage of that. We then got in a waiting list at about 11:30 and were told that it'd be a four to five hour wait. When then wait was over we would be sent a text message and then would be seen. That however wasn't exactly the case. We all went and filled the time but after about seven hours we began to grow curious about how much longer our wait was. Over the phone we were told we would have to wait about thirty more minutes so we chilled and then made our way down. But when we arrived we were told that it'd be two more hours before we were seen. It was about seven pm at this point but we were understanding as we knew they had many customers. My friend group and I actually departed as it was getting rather late and decided to meet up at the shop when we got a message. We weren't texted until about one am. Once to the shop we told them our concepts and had them stenciled. My friends and I were beyond excited and three of us received work were very happy with. My tattoo artist Bryan left me with a piece I can't be upset with. My friend however didn't get the same luck as me. She was placed with an older gentlemen with airpods in who hardly greeted her. During my tattoo I began to text my friend, who was sat beside her as he watched her get tattooed, because I noticed she was beginning to grow squirming which seemed unlike her. I was wondering if maybe she was hurting bad from the needle but she was on the verge of tears as this man made uneven circles and simple errors on her tattoo. For a reference she wanted the character boo from Mario brothers and while it may have been one am and they had been tattooing all day she deserved the same quality tattoos me, my other two friends, and all 300 people got that day. Yet she was left with a piece that another artist had to step in to try to fix but even he couldn't correct it completely. It's appreciated the time and effort these tattoo artists put in but if the excuse for a bad tattoo is "it's one am what do you expect, we've been working all day?" is the response to receiving bad work that's stuck on your body forever maybe these people shouldn't be tattooing. My friend was left hurt and while she was given a refund that was the most that could be done. read more

Eric was great! I first called just to see if they took walk-ins or if I could set up an appointment. Brandon was very welcoming and told me I could come in right at noon. I only kind of knew what I wanted - I was unsure about the size or font but I knew I wanted a set of coordinates on my arm. Eric pulled up numerous options and gave me his honest opinion of what would be best and look best. From there, he really put the image that I had in my head, on my arm. I had also mentioned during the process that I had another tattoo in mind but didn't know if I for sure wanted it that day. Eric had asked me what it was, and I gave him the idea and he ran with it. During both tattoos I was very comfortable which is unlike any tattoo or piercing shop I've been to before. Eric talked me through it which made me much more comfortable as well.
