Same as with a hair. I had to wait about 30 min. Not a big deal. Aaron was my artist. He is fabulous. I showed him a picture and told him the little changes I wanted. He came back a little bit late with the outline just perfect. He was very nice, professional, and made me feel comfortable. I make jokes when I'm nervous and he was nice enough to laugh at them. His work was outstanding!! I will be going back for the other two that I want to get. They are very reasonably priced. I have been ripped off before. The place is great and a fun atmosphere. I was a little nervous since this is my first tattoo but Arthur was very kind and receptive to what I wanted. It's the Lagiacrus from the monster hunter series. I was able to message Arthur multiple source pictures over several days and in the very end I have this brand new tattoo on my left shoulder. I really wanted to love my experience here, but I'm honestly disappointed. Both times I asked for a light, thin design, and it ended up much thicker and bolder than what I requested. Now I'm stuck trying to find someone for removal, which is frustrating and expensive. I understand that artists have their own style, but when you're doing permanent work on someone's body, it's so important to truly listen to what the client is asking for and make sure expectations are aligned. Got tattooed by them over a year ago. Wanted to warn others. Guy didn't listen to a thing I requested. Actively tried to make it less complicated for him. I feel now I need to get it altered elsewhere. Previous to this I took a friend in and they were too shy to admit they were uncomfortable with them. We worked with Jeff at the Royal Peacock in midtown, and he was AWESOME!!! He sketched us up some options to choose from in order to commemorate our wedding the weekend prior, and they were all gorgeous! It was my first tattoo and I was incredibly nervous, but Jeff helped me lock down a good placement for the design I chose and he was really patient with me while I tried to work that out. The tattoo itself was uncomfortable of course, but not so bad that I thought I wouldn't finish. He took his time between strokes, which gave me a little chance to reset every 30 seconds or so. I truly cannot express how incredibly patient and gentle this man is. And the tattoo itself came out better than I even expected! I love it so much; and my husband who also got one with Jeff right after me loves his as well. He has other tattoos and this newest one is by far his favorite. If I were to ever get any other pieces done, I would only want to work with Jeff (which is saying a lot because we live in VA). My first experience at Royal Peacock in midtown was waiting in the lobby area for my artist to finish drawing the design i wanted when suddenly some angry man quickly walked in screaming at the artists working that absolutely " No rap music is allowed in this shop ", after he left I realized he watches his employees via video surveillance and had heard the music and drove there to confront them which I thought was very weird. His name is Britton and he is the owner I learned as well when I asked later on about the situation occurring. Mind you there was a lobby full of customers who all shook their heads when this man stormed out to smoke a cigarette out front and yell at someone working the counter position. Thankfully my artist did a great job tho, made me feel very comfortable too so I decided to schedule another appointment with him to do more work. This time I committed to a larger tattoo that involved a few sessions and let me say by the end of my experience at this shop regardless of the cool vibe my artist radiated I was beyond convinced the owner is a complete racist and doesn't deserve the money/business of poc community in Sacramento. I've included photos of his tattoo shops extremely questionable wall art that anyone can see who visits. I shockingly noticed it myself during my second time there and took pictures to originally show my friend in disgust. When I asked my artist about it he just shrugged and said " the owner does what he wants here ". None of the employees seemed happy to be there and it showed in the general demeanor of the shop I felt. We used this business to get tribute tattoos for our beloved matriarch Rose. Our grandma is 88 and have been wanting to get tattoos honoring her. The original plan was to have all the cousins get tattoos in 2019. Unfortunately we were unable to do them. 2022, we were able to at least get all the girl cousins (but 2) to get the tattoo.
