I've had them at other locations before but I had visitors visiting from Edmonton who were visiting Niagara Falls so we grabbed a dozen croissants to share. They had so many varieties it was hard to choose but my favorite ones that I usually go for include: -Truffle Crab -Salted Egg yolk -Raspberry Panna Cotta / Strawberry Purée Custard -Honey Citrus / Lemon Cream Glazed Service was a little slow and unorganized despite them being opened already for a few months. They said 6 croissants and no tax but one of the girls told us we can mix and match with the croffles but when we went to pay they said we couldn't. When we went to pay they were struggling so hard with the point system. I do however appreciate them trying to figure out how it worked. So eventually they said I can only collect points and not redeem which was fine. I went back a second time cause I was thirsty and ordered one of their drinks that they said was available but then the girl looked at the other girl and then looked back at me and said it's not available soooo. Because this location is located in the food court at Fallsview Casino, they also take Momentum Dollars.

I don't usually venture this far West on McLeod Road, but I happened to be driving by one day, and…read morethe words "European Deli" caught my eye. Europe is, of course, a big place, but past experience has taught me that I'm much more likely to find the goodies I came to know and love in Croatia and Bosnia in a place with "European Deli" in the the name than in your basic average grocery store. At the time, I was in a hurry, but now that I knew that the place was there, I promised myself that I'd go back and investigate when I had more time. A later inspection of the outside of the store revealed a couple of photos of products that I know and love: Podravka Vegeta and Kraš Napolitanska. Better yet, there are the magic words "chevaps" and "burek" right on the front of the store. The inside did not disappoint. Quite the contrary, it was better than I even dared hope. Many of my favourite brands and products are on the shelves: ajvar, pašteta, višnija (sour cherry) syrup, chevaps (or, as I know them, ćevapi) in the freezer. (Plus a bunch of cookies and chocolate that I shouldn't even be looking at these days. I love them, but my doctor is on my case to get my blood sugar down.) To my surprise and delight, they even have mlinci, which is a rare find. Most recently, I took my sweetie there. They are still open, although they're limited to only having five customers in the store at a time. But what really made that trip worthwhile was the glass case with a familiar-looking baked item inside. The clerk saw me eyeing it, and said, "It's a cheese pie. We call it burek." I was so thrilled, I had to order two portions right away. Once my sweetie tried it, she couldn't stop saying, "This is so good!" (Okay, granted, some stores do sell "Twisters", which are quite similar, but this was the style that I was first introduced to, and still my favourite.) I am so happy to have found this place. Now I have a reliable source of some of my favourite goodies.

The farmers (brothers Trystan and Max Sandvoss) have certainly put their time in as to how to run a clean farm and properly care for all of the creatures (goats) living there. You can tell they take care to make sure each animal is properly cared for with good diets, clean shelters, and open rotated grazing spaces. As for the cheese. If you love cheese (even if you just like cheese), you MUST try ALL cheese coming out of this Creamery. I have yet to meet one that I don't like. Even if you don't like goat cheese at all, try the Chèvre. It is so ridiculously light, creamy, and NOT "GOATY"; it's exactly the way it should be. Because they take such care in making sure this cheese is made properly and fresh you are ensured a great cheese every time. New to Farm this year is a Dairy CSA with several options to choose from: Full Dairy, Half, Cheese, and Yogurt shares available (detailed on their website). The milk comes from their family's farm down the road and is Whole (cream on the top) Jersey Milk; the yogurt is from this milk, yum! If you decide to take the workshop, it is a day well lived and worth every penny. You leave with a boatload of knowledge AND a cheese making kit. We received yogurt and granola for breakfast, a home-cooked meal for lunch (made by their mom- how cute is that?!!), each portion made with a different kind of their cheese (including one you make during the class!), dessert, AND cheese samples while you are taking the class! Get to this place and check it out. You won't regret it.

Finding out that the very people I was talking to were the owners/farmers and goats were some of the cheese contributors was a highlight to my day! The cheese was AMAZING. I had to stop myself from buying them out, perhaps it was lucky I was returning to Washington, DC the next day which prevented me or no one else would have been able to try such great FRESH cheese. They did provide me with a reusable cooler bag for me to take my cheeses on my flight back home. My cheeses made it back to the District and my husband, who is a big goat cheese aficionado, loved them. I haven't been a big goat cheese fan in the past but First Light's hits one out of the park. The next time I am in Buffalo I will be checking out First Light's market schedule to pick up more and I hope to take one of their cheese making classes too! A bonus: they take credit cards including American Express!

Almost all of the tables have a falls view. The food was awesome. We ordered the fixed 3 course meal and so glad we did. We started with brussel sprouts and super salad. We were in heaven. 2nd course was the pasta, short ribs and upgraded to pork chops. We were all happy with our choices. The only critic would be my broccolini. It looked overcooked. Desserts were to die for. Went for the cheesecake and the strawberry rhubarb. Can't go wrong with any of the dessert choices. I highly recommend this place. Took the incline tram to go there as we didn't want to deal with parking. Taxis and wego busses are also great options.

Food is also very good as well (even though it is a little pricey)! I would keep in mind that their menu seems to change but we got: Superfood Salad - fresh veggies with a sweet sauce and extra fruit and nuts! very good Braised Ontario AAA Beef Short Rib - tender short rib with a deliciously tangy chimichurri sauce and smooth mashed potatoes and broccolini Green Goddess Orecchiette Pasta - a light but creamy pasta that is very subtley but layered in flavoring! 16oz Cowboy Ribeye Steak (medium) - nicely cooked and seasoned steak, nothing to complain about! Berry Palmer - non-alcoholic, it was a lemonade combined with some berries and super refreshing during the heat Maple Pecan Cheesecake - a smooth and delightful cheesecake with a layer of maple pecan on top, would def recommend trying if you don't have nut allergies

Chicken was dry but the rest of the bowl was good and flavorful. We also ordered the Tuna Poke Bowl: marinated ahi tuna, coconut rice, mango, sesame edamame, cucumber, avocado, pickled carrots, sliced radish, sesame seeds, green onion, sriracha aioli. I got it decompressed as I have dietary restrictions. Unfortunately the ingredients didn't seem fresh. Mango mushy, green onions brown, cucumbers dried up, carrots brown. We wanted refills on our beverages, but server was busy. By the time drinks were refilled and another pint was brought, we were done with our food. We still managed to tip the server. We were really hungry and disappointed with their food as we picked this place out of many since their Google reviews seemed high. They offered to remake our meals but we had to go.
