It's an uncomfortable position to be in, between the public and a business that is not my own. But I am compelled to advocate for the future of this local, family built company. The common element in both of these reviews is a sales person. This person is no longer with the company and in the months since, I have not had any difficulty getting what I need in a timely manner. In addition to having top quality products, as a contractor, Avonti makes me look good and treats my clients with respect. Their installers of their cultured marble and TruStone are exceptional in their trade. As someone who has been in the business for 20 years, I appreciate a local manufacturer with a nice showroom, and unique products that you cannot find in the big box stores. From start to finish, the crew was professional, skilled, communicative, and honest. They were responsive when we first reached out; quickly did an onsite quote and talked through the project; and then kept us in the loop until materials were available to start the project. They worked tirelessly during the three days it took to execute and did not try to squeeze in other jobs in between. They accommodated some minor changes to the design. Quality work aside (considering structural implications in load bearing walls), they took the time to set up dust containment inside the house. The last part meant so much to our family. The quote was completely fair for the scope of work, and their competence and experience ultimately set them apart from competitors. This company has gone beyond our expectations and we will certainly use them again for additional projects we have planned.

We started working…read morewith Theresa as kitchen designer, and we enjoyed working with her over a many months long timeframe. Theresa has very good ideas, but even more importantly, she listened to what we wanted and made it happen. I have been less than decisive throughout the remodel process, but Theresa was very patient with me and the changes I requested. Where Affinity really shines is in their installation and follow up. Our installation was pushed back a little from original date, but that was okay as we still had other work going on in the house. The men installing the cabinets did an excellent job ( I did not realize how excellent until I used a different cabinet company for my laundry and master bath). There were some stain intensity variations on some of the cabinet fronts. Affinity sends out an inspector after each install. The inspector ordered several new cabinet faces to replace ones which he felt were not acceptable. The current faces stayed on until the new ones came in. Unfortunately, there were still some light/dark issues. The inspector ordered all new faces on one side of kitchen to make sure they all matched. I did not have to ask for anything; HE felt the cabinets were not acceptable. When replacement fronts came in, the installer replaced the fronts and adjusted the hinges. We love our new cabinets. They were expensive, but you are paying for the service, both in design and installation. I saved money by using a different company for my laundry and master bath, and the quality of those cabinets is very good, but the difference in professionalism and installation was night and day compared to other company

After visiting several contractors and seeing their cabinetry, we were quite underwhelmed. We visited the affinity showroom and met with Theresa and things started to completely turn around for us. From our first meeting until the renovation was done, we were completely and utterly blown away. The white glove service, the attention to detail, the relentless Planning and exceptional communication is what sets this company apart. I should also mention that there were at least four or five follow up visits to fine tune, and make sure everything was meticulous after the initial installation. After a drunk driver ended our contractor's career at the start of our project, DKB stored our delivered cabinets for free until we hired a new contractor. When the cabinets were mis-measured too tall and covered our AC vents, DKB ordered another properly sized set immediately at no charge. Despite these setbacks and more, Randy Smith (store manager) kept constant communication and always followed through. Kevin, a 9-year technician, wrapped-up the project with the highest skill level, craftsmanship, and eye for detail. While the project took longer than expected, it was done right and perfectly. Keep in mind that these are custom field installations with each order being manufactured to spec. The level of coordination with the manufacturer, sales, design, installation, and detailing requires highly seasoned experts in your corner like Randy and Kevin. Brett Buckner (owner) helped me make my preliminary selections so that he could come out to my home within a few days to do a comprehensive measuring and fully understand my needs/wants. Within a week I had a detailed quote emailed. We did a follow-up to make some revisions to the plan and thus the quote. I had done some other shopping, the bid was competitive, but just as importantly, they had done work at my home before and also had recommendations from people I knew personally. Upon award of the job, I was assigned a project manager and timelines were established; tasks assigned and communication was clear. Most importantly, any time I had a question, I could make a call, and would get answers the same day. During the most intense part of the project, I was only without a working kitchen for 4 1/2 days; and always had a functional refrigerator. Coordination between the cabinet painter, the granite/tile work and plumbing made that possible. Throughout the project both Skyler and/or Marjene would stop in to check on progress to make sure that I was happy and that the quality of work was meeting their standards.
