When possible I like to support small independent local businesses and made the call for an estimate . Dan the owner spent a lot of time at our in home visit to review the scope , made great suggestions on 2 new pots and pan drawers and assured us we would not know they were refaced but would look like new cabinets . We chose a beautiful Maple wood with new drawers on amazing soft close silent hardware . The work crew was professional , skilled craftsmen that figured out every little corner and angle to perfection . I am amazed at the quality of work . The transformation is stunning . My adult daughter just saw the new kitchen today for the first time and was so impressed she thought it was all new boxes from the ground up ! We recommend better than new Kitchens 100 % for refacing .They are an honest local company that delivers on their project promise.

Then Dan came to our house and spent a significant amount of time with us explaining our options, showing us samples of cabinets, and answering all of our questions. We opted for several additional options on top of our initial estimate, but we never felt pressured to add or upgrade anything. We initially had hoped to do refacing to improve the overall aesthetic of our kitchen, but we were so excited to discover some of the additional options that were offered that solved functional problems that had always bothered us! When we reached out to Better Than New, we didn't even realize how much they could do besides just refacing. We replaced all of our old, hard-to-open drawers with beautiful, easy to open, soft-close drawers. We added a pull-out drawer for trash and recycling bins. We replaced sagging shelves in our cabinets. And we replaced the shelves in our deep pantry with drawers, making the space SO much more usable and accessible for our tall family. So not only is the kitchen beautiful, but it's so much more functional. There were zero hidden fees. The work was absolutely immaculate. The team was incredibly professional. And the work was done as scheduled and on time - the entire project only took 2.5 days!! I didn't receive estimates from other companies, so I don't know how the price would have compared. But we feel that the finished product, the quality of the materials used, and the professionalism and skill of the team were worth what we paid. We really couldn't be any happier with Better Than New Kitchens, and we LOVE our new kitchen. I'd highly recommend working with this company!

We used Tanner to replace our flooring in our house. 1800 sf. We paid them to rip out the tile and…read morelay engineered wood (the best you could get without going solid wood which is not encouraged in AZ). We spent $26k with them. We dealt with Al and everything seemed to be going fine except when he told me "we don't have enough wood". I was shocked because he measured and ordered the appropriate amount of wood needed. He's response was "dont worry about it." Good thing I had taken a picture of the wood that was dropped off at the house as as I would have had no proof when they didn't deliver all I had paid for. Had I not had proof I believe they would have tried to charge me for more wood. Turns out they failed to deliver 9 boxes that were paid for by me. OK. Mistake are made. I moved on. When we had to redo our shower in our second home in Tempe we immediately called Al as I still trusted him. Well, let me tell you it was a much different experience. The job was supposed to cost $7k. I wrote them a check for $4k on June 27. I was told it was a 10-14 day job including dropping off tile and materials. Guess when they STARTED? July 27. So they held on to my money for one month with no explanation. I have text after text to Al asking for info and barely being acknowledged. Excuse after excuse. Any time we asked for a status it was crickets. Apparently they thought because my son works at home that they could show up any time they wanted regardles of conference calls or meetings. I texted him on August 4 to please give us a status. Crickets. I texted him on August 7th that I understood he was busy but we needed to know that status. Crickets. He called me the weekend of the 16th (so12 days later) pants on fire but I was busy so didn't answer. No voicemail from him so apparently didn't seem too important. Then on Monday August 17th he texts my son that he thinks I blocked him. Is he ALRIGHT?!?! I've sent him multiple texts that he ignores and I'm blocking him? I sent him a text and said I'm on a conference call "what do you need?" No response. Another text to him. Crickets. Another one. Then my son texts him, "please answer my Mom's text". Then after four texts to HIM he finally says I wasn't aware of this group text and I never text anyone. (BULL SHITE). He has texted me dozens of time over the last six months. Again I text a fifth time " Ben said there's an issue with the grout". He says "No issue we're good. So two days later I found out they picked a grout they thought would be best (even though I have a picture of the grout we decide on June 27th. I said. I didn't ask you to choose the grout. We had decided on it. What color did you use. He REFUSED to tell me. He said go look at the bag at the house in Tempe (I'm in Queen Creek). So now he's just clearly being combative and an ahole. He tries to call me. I told him at this point I want everything in writing since there's been so many issues. Then he threatens to cancel the electrician and glass door install. OK. You want to threaten me? You refuse to tell me the grout you used and now you're threatening me? At that point I just said have your manager call me. He was biligerent with many texts I won't bore you with. So now I'm waiting for a call from his boss. I will gladly post the beligerent texts from him, I'm just worn out tonight. I don't take kindly to people who refuse to do the simplest things (like tell me the grout you used) and then threaten me. I would run not walk away from this company. They hire PM's that will drag out your project. They will try and act like they didn't order enough material (take pics for proof). Will refuse to keep you up to date with status. Then threaten to not finish your project when you are just asking for the grout they used (when you had already agreed on one). Its madness. Find another company. I sure will. I had planned to have them replace my quartz in my kitchen (very big kitchen and island), as well as the counter for my office cabinets and background. We also have to put a kitchen in our casita. They have probably lost $35-50k worth of business a direct result of Al's rude, unprofessional, and threatening bahvior.

David and John are professional, expert craftsmen in every regard. We decided to give our kitchen and bathrooms a facelift in a hurry before Christmas, and they met the challenge and then some! From driving a long distance to give us a quote, to meeting us at the slab warehouse to guide us in choosing the best stones for our space, to helping us envision how it would look in our home, to squeezing us in on their calendar, the list goes on. David did a superb job fabricating the countertops in his shop, was here exactly when they said they'd be here to install them, John did an awesome job on the glass tile backsplashes, they worked hard and were in and out the same day, and the end result was a BEAUTIFUL kitchen and bathrooms we can be proud of! David does amazing work! He just remodeled our entire kitchen in two days. He is quick with his response, his price is very reasonable and his work speaks for itself. During the project he would stop and ask us how we wanted different things to make sure it was done exactly how we wanted. I was blow away with how relaxing it was working with him. I would recommend him to anyone who needs their kitchen done. We are waiting on handles to come in that did not get here in time and he told us once they are in he will come back and finish installing. No extra charge to come back out or anything. We wanted to replace our kitchen island countertop and were referred to Discount Granite. David responded immediately, we met in the morning of the next day and discussed the options. He took the measurements in the afternoon of that day. David was able to locate the identical granite type at one of his suppliers to match with the other countertops in the kitchen. The new countertop was installed in a reasonable time frame, the installation was very professional and fast, and and the result looks great. The price was reasonable. This is how all businesses should work! When you call David he answers or gets back to you right away. Every time! He was on time for every appointment except for one. For that one appointment, David called and said he would be 5 minutes late due to traffic. Actually calling to let me know that he was going to be late! They have a great relationship with a large wholesale granite company in Phoenix. The Granite tops were perfect in all the rooms! The cost was 30 percent less than the average of the other three quotes I received. read more

We picked out the granite we wanted on Friday and he came the following Friday and installed all of our kitchen and bathroom countertops. I wanted a quality install and was pretty particular about details like transitions to tile, baseboards, that I wanted to pull out old carpet, I was ordering the materials, etc. Paul and Daniel knew exactly what I was referring to regarding smooth transitions and immediately said "no problem" after others gave me a whole song and dance. They also provided a professional, accurate, and detailed estimate while clearly telling me what might cost more once they get in there (e.g. leveling the floor). Other companies either gave me really rough verbal estimates or overly specific (& wrong) estimates. Communication with the guys is fantastic. The work was done with the kind of craftsmanship I expected from my meticulous grandpa (that is.. they know what they're doing and do it properly!) Work began on January 2nd, 2025 and has yet to be completed. From the start, there were multiple delays, miscommunications, and out right liberties taken with our time from Desert Prestige. While certain delays are expected, there were weeks to a full month where no communication was given for us to know what was going on. During these times, we would need to take the initiative in contacting them for a schedule as they were not responding or proactively contacting us. Workers were also arriving at our home throughout the day, often without notice, including in the evening. Despite the owner, Eric, telling us when the workers would be on site, they wouldn't show up, sometimes until hours later, sometimes not at all. Towards the end of February, we were notified that we had to pay the rest of the project in full even though the project wasn't complete. We had to correct them on the contract on the things they purchased versus the things we purchased outside of them. One item, at least, still hasn't been excluded. There are also still multiple pieces of leftover trash and debris that has not been removed, even though clean up is in the contract. No one from Desert Prestige kept track of work that still needed to be done. They relied on us for this or simply didn't do it. Every time we were met with excuses and passing the blame as explanations for this behavior. After a month of no communication from Desert Prestige, we contacted them, and were told they would arrive on site between 11-12 the next day. They did not show up on time, and arrived at 1pm, only after being contacted again and told they didn't keep the schedule. Eric told us that because our "availability" was between 10-4, they were still on schedule, regardless of us telling them if they didn't show when we were told they would, they would not be permitted into our home. Desert Prestige's unreliability and irregularity caused us to have to work from home for multiple months and made us uncomfortable in our own home not knowing when or if they would show up to do the work they stated they would when they stated they would do it.

Trinity Home made our house a showcase with custom cabinets installed by one of the best in the business. Anthony's gift for designing was spot on. If something was not to our liking, he made sure we were satisfied. Our home is beautiful with a total redo of our bathrooms and a professional grade kitchen with an 11 ft quartz countertop. As anyone will tell you about any renovation, it's stressful, but it was all worth the wait for the final result. Thank you Anthony!

Also, I was able to sell the house about a year ago with handsome gain. Now, in the new house in Gilbert, AZ, I have similar work done for the courtyard, fountain, mantle, fireplace, and TV surround. Carving art on stone is done by the artist and is hard work. Setting up and installing the heavy stone requires skill and equipment. Considering these, his charges are very reasonable. Mr. Villa is very experienced and knowledgeable about his work. He has a great sense of visual artwork on stone and aesthetics. Mr. Villa is very personable, communicable, and professional.
