Went here this morning with just a couple of minor repairs. My wife suggested them as she remembered hearing reviews on a local FB page a few years ago and they are nearby. What a fantastic experience. Repaired and cleaned a crucifix as well as a diamond ring that I wear from family members that are no longer with us. Both look brand new and they did both same day! Went in to browse and immediately saw the Blue Lives Matter and Police pendants in the second show case. Between the blatant homophobia, transphobia and stares and enthusiastic support of oppressive systems, I left quickly. All eyes were on me trying to figure out my gender. They asked 3 times "what do you need" in a hasty 'please leave" tone. I didn't stay longer than a minute. But they didn't have a very large selection from what I did see. They are also very honest and prices are better than anywhere else I have looked. I placed an order for a custom pendant 3 weeks before Mother's Day. I was told it would be in time before Mother's Day. I called on May 08 to pick up the piece and was told it wasn't going to be ready until May 12. I found it very unprofessional that they never communicated with me that it wasn't going to be ready for Mother's Day and only found out because I called. I also found it disturbing that the person who answered the phone was very rude and started "oh well it's not ready do you want it or not?! It's not a big deal that you don't have it in time for Mother's Day, I'll be the bad guy. What do you want me to do?!!". I'll never shop in this jewelry store again. My fiancé purchased what he thought was a custom ring from Peter Salerno at Dynasty Jewelers. In the eight months since he proposed (I haven't worn it at all in the last month) I have lost three diamonds. At first I thought maybe it was a fluke or bad luck but after I lost my third diamond I asked Peter what could be done to avoid further loss or damage. I already had given up wearing my ring at work and at home. I was only wearing it out to special occasions. As a newly engaged lady that was unacceptable to me. The whole point of an engagement ring is to wear it and show it off. Peter told me I would never be able to wear my ring to work (I am a nurse) and that even my clothes would snag a prong and I will continue to lose diamonds... why would you sell or design an engagement ring not designed for daily wear and use?!? At that point we decided to bring my engagement ring and wedding band (my fiancé purchased them at the same time) to a few other jewelers for a second opinion. We have since learned the following: -our ring was not a custom design, it was an old ring that Peter had sourced from elsewhere -it is full of porosity -all of the outside prongs are completely worn out -the diamonds are all of different makes, cuts, facets, and heights -the diamonds are not of the grade they are described in the appraisal -when the lost diamonds were replaced there were lines in the band that I had assumed were part of the repair process but are actually cuts in the band due to the porosity if the setting -it was poorly made and basically worthless We returned to Dynasty a final time to confront Peter and get our money back. He was completely unapologetic and unwilling to refund any of our money. Peter and Dynasty Jewelers is a fraudulent operation; completely dishonest and untrustworthy. Peter cheated us and stole our money. He turned what should be on e of the happiest times in our lives into one of the worst experiences we have ever had. Attached are pictures of the ring, showing the cuts in the band and holes under the head (porosity). Save yourself the time, money, and heartache. I don't usually comment on posts but I have to on the post about the nurse who is having issues with her ring. I have worked clinically since 1977 & you never wear your rings doing patient care. The hand washing & gloving will pull prongs & loosen stones even in the best of settings.Your setting definitely cannot stand up to that type of wear. You also are exposing the ring to body fluids no matter how well you scrub. Who wants that. If you want to show off the ring use a safety pin & pin it to your scrubs. I have know Pete for over 30 years & recommend Dynasty to everyone. With no complaints. I purchase my jewelry from this store. The one piece I didn't was a white & black diamond ring. I lost 4 diamonds after wearing it 2x(not at work). When I brought it to Pete he explained the delicate setting & that I would be loosing the stones no matter what I did. The Jeweler I purchased it from never explained that to me. I am enjoying the ring but will not be surprised if I loose more diamonds. read more

Dynasty Jewelers is a smaller shop and an old school business. They have outstanding custom and repair services. I've taken many pieces of jewelry to them over the years and each piece has been made better than new. Recently, I bought my wife an ETSY diamond ring from Macy's. It's a combination set with three rings with multiple diamond inlays and prongs. I took it in to be resized as Macy's doesn't have that service for higher end pieces. Not only was the resizing perfect and indistingishable from the original but they went the extra step and re-tightened all the prongs because they noticed that the manufacturer hadn't done as good a job as they should have. It was ready in a few days, super-clean and at a reasonable price. If you go in looking for a large selection of jewelry, you won't find it here. If you're looking for typical mall-type sales people, you won't find it here either. It's a family business that's been in the same community for decades. As such, they're going to ask you what you need. If you don't want to be asked how someone can help you, don't go in. If you want to actually talk to someone who knows the jewelry business and can help you with a specific repair issue or request, this is your place. You need to walk in the door with an idea of what you'd like to accomplish. It's not political. It's not gender-biased. It's just a business. read more

I received a necklace from this jewelry store as a gift from my mother. Since I've been given it (about 4 months) it has broken on me 3 times already. I've gone in to get it fixed, and told the owner that it keeps breaking in the same spot. He automatically gets very defensive and mouthy, very unprofessional from his point. I had a great experience here. A friend recommended Dynasty for my wedding band. My engagement ring is an unusual vintage setting and I figured I'd have to have a band custom made. No one could believe it when we found a band that fit perfectly. The price was amazing and everyone was really nice. They purchased some gold from me and we were able to apply that to our purchase. I went to Dynasty Jewelers to get an appraisal of my engagement ring. The staff was not friendly at all. When the man appraising my ring saw where the ring was purchased - not at Dynasty - he proceeded to insult the ring, price, etc. I deliberately walked away while my fiancé was speaking with him about the ring and he blurted out the price for everyone in the place to hear, and me, which did not know the price of the ring. We did not purchase our wedding rings yet, and we will NOT be getting them from there. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone!!! If I could give it 0 stars, I would! Rude as h*ll! I walked in with a piece of jewelry to see if they would be interested in buying it (as their sign says they buy jewelry) and patiently waited for the owner I guess to take a look at it. So he does not even have the courtesy to greet me and then takes a personal phone call while he looks at my jewelry. I tell myself be patient, but then he basically throws it back at me with what he would pay for it. Very insulting and terrible customer service!!! Little did he know that I was interested in a few pieces he was selling, but forget it now. I will never be back and will do my business elsewhere in the future.
