I could have just picked up a remanufactured from one of the big box auto parts stores, but years ago...I learned my lesson on a different vehicle with a starter motor. Remanufactured garbage... it didn't last. It overheated. Who knows what stuff they put inside of it. NEVER AGAIN. Took this Alternator off my 1972 Monte Carlo.... from the moment you walk into the shop... the first thing that you see is CLEAN. Look into the shop area... it's clean too. Cleanliness is something of a lost art in today's world. Dropped the alternator off for them to review. Owner Lonnie called me the next day with the options. Replace with a higher output alternator, internally regulated.... or rebuild the stock unit upping its capabilities and replacing the external voltage regulator. Wanting to keep the car as stock looking as possible, I opted for the rebuilding the stock and replaced regulator. Gave the go ahead A few days later... I received the call... it was all done ready to go. Met Lonnie at his shop, great conversation about the alternator.... and what else I needed to do to make the upgrade work best. (Heavier wire) Reinstalled the alternator, and I am just incredibly happy that all went well. I so highly recommend Big Moe for the quality you will get. Next rebuild will be the factory starter... when it fails.

Not only quick, but they went above and beyond by cleaning and spraying a protective coat on the shield. Looks brand new and I know it'll fit perfect. Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience here…read more Prior to scheduling the work, I sent the following email outlining exactly what I wanted installed on my 2014 four-door Jeep Wrangler: "I have a 2014 four-door Jeep Wrangler that I am looking to upgrade and wanted to see if you are able to support the following installations: * A rearview mirror with an integrated backup camera. We are interested in the Echomaster part number MRCHDDVRJW, which tilts downward when reversing to assist with parking. * Upgrading the headlights to LED units. * Replacing the factory radio with a modern flat-screen system that supports Bluetooth, USB connectivity, wireless music streaming, and phone-based navigation. If you are able to complete these upgrades, please let me know your availability and provide an estimated cost for the full scope of work and parts so we can move forward with scheduling a time to install." I received the following email response confirming they could provide an equivalent solution for the camera: "Hey Justin, The Rydeen works the same way as well. It gives you a different angle when in reverse. I would have to order a few parts, and get you scheduled the week after Christmas. Let me know if this will work for you." Based on that email confirmation, I dropped my Jeep off in the morning for installation. When I picked up the vehicle, I immediately noticed that the camera does not tilt or change angle at all. It is a stationary camera. In addition, the camera is not properly secured. Any bump in the road causes it to point downward, making it impossible to see behind the vehicle. As a result, the rearview mirror is essentially unusable, which creates a safety concern. They also installed a radio, but it does not support wireless phone connectivity for displaying maps or navigation. When I brought this up, I was told that upgrading to that capability would cost an additional $1,500. This was never discussed prior to installation. The radio has no front-facing USB ports. The only USB connection was routed into the glove box. The expectation appears to be running a cable out of the glove box door, which is not practical. The USB connection is also not secured and frequently falls behind the glove box, requiring me to retrieve it repeatedly. Jeep dashboards have designated locations for properly mounted USB ports, which would have been a much cleaner and more functional solution. I also had to bring the vehicle back a second day because they did not have all the required wiring components to connect the steering wheel controls. I was only informed of this when I picked up the vehicle on day one, which required me to miss work again. Overall, the final installation did not align with what was represented in the emails. Several features were misrepresented, communication around capabilities and costs was lacking, and the installation quality did not meet expectations. Based on this experience, I would not recommend their services. I have photos documenting the issues and will add them to the Google review.

Avoid M-Technik: Dishonest Business, Zero Proof, & Damaged/Missing Parts…read moreRating: 1/5 I brought my BMW to M-Technik on Monday, May 25, 2026, with a clear $200 diagnostic agreement. What followed was a complete scam involving fabricated labor hours, defensive management, and actual negligence to my vehicle. The "Diagnosis" Scam The Lie: On Tuesday, they claimed they spent an hour diagnosing the car and requested 3 more hours ($200/hr) to continue. I approved it. The Reality: On Wednesday afternoon, I called for an update and was told, "We haven't touched your car yet." The Confrontation: I showed up at 16:00 on Wednesday. My car was untouched. The heavy-set shop manager (not Chris, who was actually helpful) lied and said they were waiting on my approval. When I demanded to know what they did in the first hour I was being billed for, the mechanic couldn't answer. He eventually guessed a code: "Low fuel pressure before the high-pressure fuel pump." The Fact Check: I troubleshot with BMW ISTA+. I told them on Monday the car had a low RAIL pressure code. The low-pressure pump was brand new and tested perfectly at 4.5 bar. There is was no code for "low fuel pressure before the HPFP." The tech completely made it up. We checked my service ticket in the office. There was absolutely zero documentation written on it. I declined the extra hours that night. The next morning, they sent an unprofessional, all-caps text telling me to get a tow truck. Hostage Tactics & Blatant Negligence When picking up the car, I offered to pay the $200 if they could show me just 30 minutes of security camera footage proving they touched my car. The manager refused, using a "trust me bro" excuse that he wasn't going to hook up a computer to the cameras. He held my car hostage until I paid. To make matters worse, they allowed my car to be towed away with the ignition completely turned ON. This threw a massive slew of fault codes across multiple modules. More importantly, leaving the ignition on with the front wheels on the ground can ruin the electric power steering (EPS) system and steering rack as the wheels are forced to turn while active. The Final Straw: Missing Hardware They didn't even know how to properly put my BMW into neutral. I explicitly told them not to pull the mechanical neutral release bolt on the transmission. They ignored me, yanked it anyway, and failed to replace it. I left the shop with missing hardware and had to buy a new transmission bolt out of pocket. (See attached photos on my google review from the next shop). Summary: If you don't know cars, M-Technik will fake diagnostic time and bill you for it. If you do know cars, they will get defensive, hold your car hostage, risk your steering rack, and return it to you with missing hardware. Avoid this shop.
