Kyle came out right away, listened to my concerns and my (very innacurrate) guess about what was wrong. We were invited into their office, a quick diagnosis was made and a simple fix was done--our local mechanic hadn't fully tightened the oil filter which led to a small oil leak and the burning smell. Kyle even came in to talk with us and helped entertain our kids (both under age 4) while they finished up the repair and we were back on the road in under 30 minutes. Very thankful for their help!

They gave me the name of a reputable towing company and said I could have my vehicle towed to their shop even though they were booked with appointments through the end of the month. Shan came and picked me up in the next town over, Twisp, and even helped me find a fairly inexpensive hotel room for the night until someone could come pick me up the next day. Even though they were extremely busy they said they would try to take a look at it in the next few days. I was expecting to wait a week or more before hearing anything, but I received a call the following day letting me know they had taken a look at my Volkswagen and determined the heater core had failed. The folks at North Star were able to bypass the system and get it running that day! I can't begin to express how much I appreciate all the help and care they provided. If I lived in the Okanagan valley this would definitely be my go to repair shop. Thanks for everything!

Mrs Talley, greeted me with a sneer as I asked about making an appointment. "You need to call. We don't make appointments in person. Besides, I'm busy!". She was literally alone in the office dusting off some cheap looking trophies. I stepped out of the office and called her from the curb, where It was extremely difficult to hear her over the traffic noise, When I suggested that it might be easier to continue the discussion in person, as I was 20 feet away from her, she repeated "That's not how we do business!" following up with "We might not even want to take your vehicle." and refused to offer any alternatives in the area. she did call later on and left a message that they weren't interested. Every moment If this exchange was bizarre. She get's an F in Customer Service and an F in Interpersonal Skills. It's a shame. I hear they do good work, but I'm not interested paying what I expected to be several thousand dollars to a crackpot. I've since spoken about this with several locals and business people. every single person I spoke with had something negative to say about her. ‍
