Put wrong parts on my car! Could have killed my whole family. I'm never going there again!

We were about 40 miles from home when we discovered a piece of metal imbedded in one of our tires. I stopped at Les Schwab in Twist, WA. I spoke to a young man behind the counter. He said he could fix the tire in 45 minutes. 45 minutes later the tire had been repaired. I asked him how much we owed. He said there was no charge. I was dumbfounded but then I tossed 3, twenty dollar bills on the counter as a gratuity. He said, "no, I cannot accept a gratuity". To me, this is a prime example of a supportive, community-oriented tire service center. read more

Getting ready to leave from our RV Park this morning and our truck wouldn't start. We needed new batteries. Not only did the guys get our batteries replaced they noticed our front tire was seriously failing. We were on a short timeline as we needed to check out of the park by a certain time. Very helpful local business. They are the only tire repair place for miles around. They are highly professional and very helpful. They get very busy in March and November for all the seasonal tire change overs but now let you make an appointment so it's a smooth process. Picked up a nail crossing the north cascades in a rental from SeaTac. These guys were fortunately on my way down WA20 and could not have been any more helpful (much more than the car rental central number!) On a busyish Saturday morning, while I checked out the Methow Valley Farmer's market, these guys fixed the tire--they were fast, friendly, and exceptionally fair (by fair I mean gracious to the point of generous!) in what they charged. I only wish I lived close by to bring Twisp's Les Schwab place all of my business. Good folks who do good work and will go out of their way to help a travelling stranger still exist. I was so fortunate that one of my tires gave out 10 miles out of Twisp, rather than somewhere more remote! It was a snowy Sunday evening. I was able to get the car to a Twisp motel, and in the morning put a call into Les Schwab first thing. Tristan drove out to my motel given the tire was flat. He diagnosed the issue (I'd let the tires run bald, and one was starting to fail) and ordered a set of the required replacement (a somewhat unusual tire so not a big surprise they didn't have it in stock). I got a taxi to continue to my destination in Mazama (no car rentals nearby!) while Tristan procured the tires, drove back to the hotel, replaced the damaged one, drove my car to their shop, replaced the rest of the tires, and let me know I could come back. Very happy with their prompt and responsive service, Tristan went above and beyond to solve my problem of the car not being movable and me not being in Twisp any more. Very appreciative. Can't say enough good things about Tristan and his team at Les Schwab in Twisp! We got into Winthrop around one in the morning on Saturday and I was crushed to discover a giant screw in my just-three-weeks-old front tire! After a restless sleep I called the Les Schwab in Twisp as soon as they opened. Tristan said they were pretty busy that morning with snow tires but they could fit us in. We dropped off the car and were told it would be about an hour so we headed to the farmers market and the bakery. Imagine my surprise when he called 30 minutes later to say it was patched! And then the surprises continued when he told us there was no charge! It was such a pleasant resolution to a disappointing situation! If you need anything tire related while in the Methow Valley, I'd suggest you head straight to Les Schwab! read more

SOOOO thankful for this place! I got a spare tire on my way through the North Cascades and this was the closest tire center around. I had no idea what the place was going to be like and had visions of a dusty mom and pop store, but this place is legit and the service was incredible. The guy I talked to at the counter was super helpful and nice and I was able to switch my front two tires and went to the pub across the street for a delicious meal while I waited. Had a tire blow out near town, was a little worried as there weren't many options in a small town like this. But, I have to say, turned out to be the best car/shop experience I've had in a long time! The staff was amazingly helpful and kind, even gave me biking suggestions/directions so I could do some exploring while the tire was replaced. I had a nail in my tire and a couple of hours before I had to be at a wedding. Les Schwab gave me an accurate estimate of time, then fixed the tire right on time. I drove up in a bit of a hurry and talked to Andrew, who told me he thought he could get the tire fixed in about a half hour, which would keep me on pace to drive back up to Mazama and leave for the wedding. He sent me inside to start a work order. JT was more conservative, which is smart - he told me 45 minutes, which was still OK. In the end, Andrew was spot-on. He finished up the truck ahead of me, then got mine up on the rack, pulled the tire, got the hole patched and had me back on the road in almost exactly a half hour. It was great. I really appreciated 1.) that they were accurate and 2.) that they were all over the repair. I know it wasn't a big job, but it meant a lot to me on the day. read more
