I stopped by the office to schedule an appointment, where I had the strangest encounter I've ever had with any business. Mrs Talley, greeted me with a sneer as I asked about making an appointment. "You need to call. We don't make appointments in person. Besides, I'm busy!". She was literally alone in the office dusting off some cheap looking trophies. I stepped out of the office and called her from the curb, where It was extremely difficult to hear her over the traffic noise, When I suggested that it might be easier to continue the discussion in person, as I was 20 feet away from her, she repeated "That's not how we do business!" following up with "We might not even want to take your vehicle." and refused to offer any alternatives in the area. she did call later on and left a message that they weren't interested. Every moment If this exchange was bizarre. She get's an F in Customer Service and an F in Interpersonal Skills. It's a shame. I hear they do good work, but I'm not interested paying what I expected to be several thousand dollars to a crackpot. I've since spoken about this with several locals and business people. every single person I spoke with had something negative to say about her. ‍ read more

Discovered we had a water leak on the front of our work truck. Called Talley's this morning and 4 hours later the water pump has been replaced, and at a very reasonable cost. We are extremely happy customers. read more

Customer service on the phone gets a negative. I asked for a quote on a repair and she said " we don't give quotes on the phone, we have to look at the car first" which to me, every other place always gives a quote or has a general idea. So i said what about an estimate of some sort? She said YOU CAN GET THOSE AT LES SCHWAB" wow seriously. Customer service has gone in the trash. read more

Here is the situation - we were in Lake Chelan - ready to head home and van electrically started acting up - died on side of the road. Immediately found and called Talleys. We told him all the issues and he said more than likely alternator. We asked if by any slim chance can you fix today. Bring it in and he would certainly try. 30 min later had it towed to his garage - came out checked over a few things. And a short time later - he had new alternator on and we were back on the road to home. One thing I did notice - you should call BEFORE just showing up - talking with them in advance makes a difference. Many thanks to Talleys Auto Repair - he was not only very busy that day and still managed to fix the van but he was a man of his word. Respect. For that I give a 5 star rating. read more

Brought my in to be fixed and they weren't very receptive to even answering our question! They just stood there and stared and really didn't want the job we kind of talked them into it. I'm pretty angry but I will try to be fair. As far as I can tell so far the repair itself (an involved manifold repair) is holding up - although I did have a related warning light briefly. However, as previous reviewers have mentioned the woman running the office is rude enough that this alone would deter me from returning. (I don't need someone treating me nasty when I am paying hundreds of dollars to keep them in business.) My main complain was I had the exact same repair (other side) two months ago at another garage for $550 - told this to Talleys - and got a verbal estimate of "about that much" and "$600". The final bill was $400 more. So if you can NOT talk to the rude scheduler and get a WRITTEN estimate then maybe I would visit Talleys if you don't have another option. (Les Schwab with a sterling reputation among locals is right across the street.) read more

A belt on our car broke and after my boyfriend spent an hour in the parking lot of the auto part store trying to fix it he finally gave up and we called Talleys. The receptionist (is that the right title?) told us to come right up. When we got there she even noticed my bfs hands were covered in grease and let him use their mechanic soap stuff. They got our car in right away and replaced the belt in 30 minutes. The mechanic also noticed that our power steering was leaking and replaced another belt and an o ring all in about an hour. He was super patient with me asking 9000 questions and took the time to explain it all to us. I highly recommend these guys! They made a stressful experience downright pleasant. read more

My brake lights were out. Took it to another mechanic he said he fiddled with wires and they are working. Got home and they were still out. Stopped by Talley's and he took me in right away. Found out it was a blown fuse and he also replaced a bulb was able to do this in less than an hour despite couple cars ahead of me. Excellent service and saved the day!! read more

I had my AC compressor fail on my diesel on my way out of Chelan one evening. This was not a repair I could handle myself on the side of the road. Talley's auto repair was closed, but they were able to squeeze me in the following day. Paul had me up and running by noon and I was back on the road. Phenomenal customer service. Their competition down the street was not willing to even look at my truck. Well done Talley's. Thank you for all of your help. Horrible service! Awful people skills behind the desk. She obviously was having a really bad day. She took her rage out on me!!! I first asked if the mechanic could listen to my vehicle so I could know if it was safe to drive. She snapped, NO! Not in this snow!! So I took the next step. I tried to set up an appointment for the next week. The day and time she scheduled me for coincided with a previous obligation I could not cancel so I asked if there was another time open since I was scheduling an appointment. She said you don't understand how our business works and ripped up the work order right in front of me. read more
