My family has been long time customers of Vinnie and Paul. They moved from High St. and their new offices are great. Plenty of parking, large office and easy to find. They are busy, so make sure you make an appointment in advance. Last year, I waited too long and was unable to get an appointment so we ended up going to one of the big name tax prep places, and it was a lot of work, time and headaches. This year, I made sure to make an appointment with E&P about a month ago (in January), and uploaded my documents to the portal as I received them. We came in for our appointment today and after a quick review, we were in and out in less than 20 minutes. This was our second time filing taxes with Paul from E&P solutions. I have to say, I've never met a better tax consultant before. Paul always has useful advice for us to plan our taxes better for next year. This time around, I even got a notice from IRS for a hefty amount that I owe because of some stock trades that I forgot to include in my 2019 filing. He reviewed my my W2, 1099 and tax filing from 2019 and knew right away that I don't owe that big of an amount. He refiled my 2019 taxes and in fact, it turned out that state and federal owe me a little refund. I was very happy with the outcome and Paul was kind enough to explain how IRS came up with the amount they think I owed. Paul is extremely diligent in filing taxes. This is my first year with mainly 1099 / independent consultant income. The ominous cloud of tax time was looming over and scaring me! Wow! This is my new tax preparer for always.. My home burned to the ground in Paradise, CA last November and since then my life has become a heretofore unknown freaking unreality: everything gone, PTSD, heaps of paperwork, jammed up systems, overworked, incompetent, or thoughtless workers (along with a lot great lay people, too, of course) Since I'm living temporarily here and there, I didn't know who to hire to do my taxes. He listened, acknowledged that he heard us, was sympathetic, asked relevant questions, and prepared our taxes on the spot. I'm not joking when I say I've cycled through at least 6 CPAs and accountants over the last 5 years. As a small business owner who's meticulous about her finances, I was ready to give up on finding someone competent and responsive. A colleague highly recommended Paul and Vinnie so I decided to see if they lived up to the hype. From my very first interaction I knew my search was over. Vinnie answered my call after only one ring and gave me an extremely fair quote over the phone. After I emailed my tax documents they did my personal AND corporate taxes within TWO DAYS - that's insane! Granted, my stuff was extremely organized and straightforward but it would take a week for my previous CPA just to email me back. I then had the pleasure of meeting them in person on a late Saturday afternoon. Paul patiently sat with me for an hour as we carefully went over my tax returns, making sure he understood my financial situation and answering all my questions. Scheduled follow-up discussion with Paul, and he did not give me the time of day, even giving me incorrect information related to Section 121 exclusion; he didn't even bother to answer my email when I asked him a specific question after researching the tax code myself.
