The parents seemed to disappear! Then of course the parents saving chairs when they leave for a 2 hour lunch (I know that happens everywhere). Stella at the bar was fabulous and as busy as she was she had the added job of pool security, oh my! Last the folks at the front desk were wonderful, but the first place vote goes to Victoria who works the beach! Give that women a raise, a keeper, wow, can't say enough about her, a just fabulous person. Before arriving, I had communicated directly with the hotel regarding accommodations for my autistic son and even received a personalized "We will see you soon. Safe travels!" message. Needless to say, finding out we no longer had a room was devastating. Watching my children looking out over the pool, excited to start our vacation, only to tell them we had to leave was heartbreaking. My autistic son became overwhelmed, and what should have been a happy memory quickly became one of the most stressful travel experiences we've had. I do want to give Expedia credit. They stayed on the phone with me, found another hotel, and continued communicating with me throughout the process. Unfortunately, my experience with SpringHill Suites after that was disappointing. The explanations I later received from the property did not match my experience or the written findings Expedia provided, and getting straightforward communication from the hotel became very difficult. One thing I can comment on from the short time we were there is the parking. While the garage is attached to the hotel, it isn't especially convenient because the lobby is located on the fourth floor. Depending on where you park, expect a bit of walking and multiple elevators before you even reach the front desk. I understand that reservation issues can happen. What disappointed me was the lack of consistent communication and accountability afterward. Families spend months planning and saving for vacations, and I hope no one else has to experience what ours did.

You can get any closer to the white sands and ocean The building's architecture is unique due to its crescent style format and all the rooms have a wonderful view of the ocean and manicured beach. The interior of the building is modern with art Nuevo and beachy themes. It has a chill vibe where you can enjoy inspired beachy drinks and decent food. Just across the street, there other restaurants and shopping stores. The rooms were ok. It has been renovated but you can tell the room was old and dated. Scuff marks on the furniture, a "painted" full size fridge, and exterior balcony door that has seen some weather. The bathroom was a highlight with a recent renovation and it was light and bright. Water pressure was good too. The main reason why you pay extra and higher cost is for the ocean and beach view. Our balcony view was perfect for us. Great sunrise and sunset views. The breeze was gently enough to keep to somewhat cool and the music coming from the pool's grill bar was pleasant enough to dance or hum along. Only downside was the AC unit which can quite loud cuz it part of the balcony's exterior. But hey, it kept our room cool and refreshing. The hotel amenities includes, two restaurants (Italian / Mediterranean) inside, and pool grill (American), small excessive room (machines only), and the HIGHLIGHT - three different sections of the massive pool! A large main pool, a separate Lazy River, and a kids section with its own water playground. Also, a hot tub too. The lazy river was fun and relaxing. The grill bar had ample seats and on occasion they will have Live music. The other highlight was the beach. Just a 100 feet from the main entrance and pass the pool. Bam you are there! Also, they have lounge chairs and umbrellas for rental; $45 per hour or $60 for five hours. We opted for the $60, cuz you can walk back and forth to the grill bar for drinks and food and you don't have to worry on someone taking your spot. Definitely recommend the place! We arrived around midnight to a hot, uncomfortable unit -- the A/C was clearly struggling to work properly. We informed the host, Khushbu Patel, right away. At first, she seemed receptive, but that quickly shifted. She later accused us of causing the A/C problem by leaving doors and windows open -- which was absolutely false. The windows in the unit don't even open, and we were extremely careful to keep everything closed. Things got worse. We were told by the host to vacate the property on Saturday evening around 7 PM, and we did exactly that. I even followed up with a message and a phone call to confirm we had left. Despite this, the host later accused us of staying the second night -- which was entirely untrue. I had clear evidence of our departure, but the host continued to make false claims. This experience was stressful, disappointing, and handled with a total lack of professionalism. I would strongly advise anyone considering this unit to look elsewhere. There are plenty of places at Edgewater that offer a far better experience -- and respectful, honest hosts.

There's TWO people that work here, TWO.. so don't expect prompt service. This brings us to the event it self. The ONE positive thing that happened is the event itself looked great. partly because of our help setting up. Now to the food, remember that guy mike I talked about earlier, well I guess he cooks too. When we walked in about an hour and a half early, he was starting the food. We walked back to the kitchen to say hey and check on things and this guy.. this MF'er is cooking on a GEORGE FORMAN GRILL.. immediately im so taken aback I cant believe what im seeing. Later on in the evening dinner is brought out, and these people bring out STYROFOAM plates, like a damn picnic. I was so disappointed with the food that cost us almost $30 a plate, bring your caterer. Not to mention when we ran out of food, they said too bad, even though several of our guests got to eat some croutons and rolls for dinner. Very surprised by this being a Bluegreen property - not up to snuff considering the annual maintenance fees we pay for them to keep these maintained. We will not be returning.
