Within the first few hours of arriving at our shared Air BnB, to make a long story short we had a very dramatic and painful falling out. We were crying, we were angry, everything was just so much to process. Ultimately, we didn't feel comfortable staying with them anymore so we repacked our things and left. We had no plans, no hotel reservations, nothing. My mom did a search for a hotel in the car as we were trying to process what just happened. Panama City Beach has always been a memorable vacation spot for us. Being only 50 minutes away, we booked a room and started our drive. Upon arrival, the interior is absolutely beautiful. Once in the lobby, we waited to check in. I could barely keep my eyes open because I had been crying so much. We were soon greeted by Austin. Right off the bat, his energy was so joyful and comforting. He apologized for being low energy because it was late at night. But you couldn't tell. He was just the sweetest. Once he gave us our room key, he told us that he would let the room be a surprise. My mom absolutely loves a balcony facing the beach and we were given just that. We got an upgraded room! Austin had been the reason I smiled that night. Throughout our stay, anytime we've seen him he's been so happy to greet us. "Hello dear! Are you having a good day?" Small interactions like that can really make someone's day. He's uplifting and positive to any guest he helps. What started as a vacation from hell, quickly turned into one for the books. One that we will remember for the rest of our lives. The staff at this hotel is amazing. Thank you Springhill Suites, and thank you Austin for making our lives a little better.

Free breakfast not much to it. everyday scrambled eggs, cold potatoes (every day), greasy sausage patties and dry links. Bananas only fruit. Got yogurt, and blueberry muffins. The pool, oh my, it was kids run wild: jumping off the rocks (the sign said don't climb), kids under 10 years old in the hot tub without parental guidance (again against the rules), kids with balls and footballs throwing the length of the pool ( almost got hit a few times) another "major" violation which could suspend you from pool rights, never happened! The parents seemed to disappear! Then of course the parents saving chairs when they leave for a 2 hour lunch (I know that happens everywhere). Stella at the bar was fabulous and as busy as she was she had the added job of pool security, oh my! Last the folks at the front desk were wonderful, but the first place vote goes to Victoria who works the beach! Give that women a raise, a keeper, wow, can't say enough about her, a just fabulous person. Looking out for me pulling my chair back when she saw I was getting a bit too much sun, moving the umbrella for more shade. Now that's an employee I would promote! Ty Victoria

What an excellent place on the ocean front! Spent one night here in an oceanfront room with the…read morebest view that you could possibly get on the strip. The amenities are fantastic and definitely worth the extra fee. They have a hula in the evenings that they encourage people to attend. The food at the bar is acceptable and the drinks are good, especially the margarita is strong. The other sugary drinks might not do their job. The staff was fantastic and I believe her name was Victoria at the front desk who was a delight to work with.

Front desk weren't especially open for discussion when asked where the sofa-bed went. And the hotel was full?? A huge miscalculation in the equation for us, since we planned for 5 days stay. It was expensive also and was chosen due to that it fitted 6 pax... One in the party sweared to oceanfront and that was indeed breathtaking. So we went to Walmart and bought an air mattress, but obviously not so good option to sleep for 5 nights. The resort however was clean and the staff in general was attentive and service minded. Especially the staff at the front door was one of a kind. In the steaming hot weather there was always a smile and we will fix attitude when golf cart picked and dropped us to the parking lot. The food in the View bar was great, but a little more attentiveness could have been better. The restaurant had also amazing food, butpricey. It helped that you get 25 paper money for each day that can be spent in the bars or the eating places in addition to kids under 11 eat free. The ice cold water, fused with berries and the ice cold tea is a work of genius, placed outside by the pool and the lobby. The cost for an umbrella and a couple of chairs 60 dollars at the beach is pricey, so go to Walmart and buy instead chairs for the entire tour for the cost of one day. The beach was clean but unfortunately too much seaweed, so that was a minus. Rooms weren't cleaned but the towel and garbage was changed and picked. We had to book that a day prior. We didn't have a roomphone that worked the entire trip, in addition the drawer by the bed, wouldn't close. That was also annoying but again the pools, the oceanfront view and the beach all made up for that. So all in all, new experience and fun for the small kids but we will look for other option that aren't that pricey but with oceanfront. It was many of those that weren't listed online that were better in terms of location and cost

When…read moreit comes to Lotus Cafe, it's maybe one of the best hidden gems that one can possibly discover. It's not hidden geographically or in a speakeasy way, but mostly due to its location in Panama City Beach. Surrounded by wild parties, ridiculous tourist attractions and mundanely depressing condo buildings, the Lotus Cafe is a hidden oasis that feels almost out of place. It's such a contrast to everything else around it that one struggles to comprehend being here. The space is huge, with cared for gardens and seating throughout them. The chicken taziki wrap is phenomenal. The coffees are perfect. The juices are invigorating. And, enjoying it all surrounded by plants is a purely spiritual experience. To keep the spirits happy, perhaps skip the quesadilla, as it wasn't the highlight of the meal. People working here are chill, pleasant and caring. Lotus Cafe is a truly special place and even writing this review feels a bit like revealing a well kept secret.

Eclectic health conscious cafe and juice bar near Panama City Beach. I found this spot from a local…read moreblogger that posted different photo worthy places to visit while in the area. I ordered the potato salad, Strawberry Dream for me and Beach Juice for my guy. I didn't care for my smoothie but I ended up drinking his beach juice up. The potato salad was fine however I didn't finish it since I wasn't really hungry from an earlier lunch. The staff were cool and artsy and seemed to enjoy working here. The gardens were my favorite part of the visit. We sat outside and enjoyed the fresh breeze and the sounds of the waterfall and birds. It is very tranquil here and exactly what you would imagine a Zen garden would be like. I enjoyed my visit and recommend it for those looking for a vegan/vegetarian option, fresh juices or just a quiet place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. They also sell meat and fish options too. Pro Tip: Check out the other onsite businesses as well while you're at the Cafe.

Do NOT rent Villa 1911 at Edgewater from Khushbu Patel…read more This was by far one of the worst rental experiences we've had. We arrived around midnight to a hot, uncomfortable unit -- the A/C was clearly struggling to work properly. We informed the host, Khushbu Patel, right away. At first, she seemed receptive, but that quickly shifted. She later accused us of causing the A/C problem by leaving doors and windows open -- which was absolutely false. The windows in the unit don't even open, and we were extremely careful to keep everything closed. Things got worse. We were told by the host to vacate the property on Saturday evening around 7 PM, and we did exactly that. I even followed up with a message and a phone call to confirm we had left. Despite this, the host later accused us of staying the second night -- which was entirely untrue. I had clear evidence of our departure, but the host continued to make false claims. This experience was stressful, disappointing, and handled with a total lack of professionalism. I would strongly advise anyone considering this unit to look elsewhere. There are plenty of places at Edgewater that offer a far better experience -- and respectful, honest hosts.

This is the first year under the new management, and let me tell you there is a huge change. I'll start from the beginning of my experience, which was the cost. We put our deposit down on the space a few weeks in advance, which was $500 out of a total $3000 dollar bill. This included the set up, which WE ended up helping with, the clean up, the food, and the rental of the space. Now, during this process we had tons of questions, as anyone would who has ever scheduled an event. This guy, Mike is the most arrogant frustrating person I have ever dealt with. Imagine trying to ask questions and this person getting irritated because we are asking them. This happened on numerous occasions. There's TWO people that work here, TWO.. so don't expect prompt service. This brings us to the event it self. The ONE positive thing that happened is the event itself looked great. partly because of our help setting up. Now to the food, remember that guy mike I talked about earlier, well I guess he cooks too. When we walked in about an hour and a half early, he was starting the food. We walked back to the kitchen to say hey and check on things and this guy.. this MF'er is cooking on a GEORGE FORMAN GRILL.. immediately im so taken aback I cant believe what im seeing. Later on in the evening dinner is brought out, and these people bring out STYROFOAM plates, like a damn picnic. I was so disappointed with the food that cost us almost $30 a plate, bring your caterer. Not to mention when we ran out of food, they said too bad, even though several of our guests got to eat some croutons and rolls for dinner. OHH, so all the fancy stuff they advertise on the flyer, like shrimp cocktail.. or some sauce on the chicken... not there at all. I had numerous people tell me about the bones in the fish, how horrible the food tasted and the overall lack of detail that went into the meal in general. In conclusion, please DO NOT use this place. You will be totally disappointed and frustrated dealing with the highly unprofessional staff, and the George Forman food. If you really want to see what a $3000 venue should look like, google the empire room in Greensboro, NC.

The floors look really bad - the room doors are pretty banged up. Lobby is nice. The onsite restaurant and cafe have limited hours - not even aligned with the times listed on the flyer given at check-in. When asking staff about the hours we were told not sure they can change daily. Lots of construction happening which is loud during the day. Very surprised by this being a Bluegreen property - not up to snuff considering the annual maintenance fees we pay for them to keep these maintained. We will not be returning.
