Not the view from my room

Great location in this tourist area. Although, I am wondering why they didn't upgrade me to the ocean view for being my first time here? Lyza even recognize me as a platinum elite member. The hotel is great, it gives you free breakfast. Our room was good although the beds are extremely hard and our toilet kept talking all night long! I WOULD RECOMMEND

We were pleasantly surprised by this Marriott. The hotel has been recently remodeled, the views are excellent. The staff was friendly & there is a large pool area kept clean and lots of chairs & towels. Pool was even heated.

This hotel is good! One question though... What is with the closet doors? Why aren't they the same size?! Other than that, I love this place!!!! The pool is one of the best pools I have ever been to. You need to come here!!!

Our first time in PCB was very enjoyable thanks to having a great stay at SpringHill. It's very nice and clean, and so close to the beach that you feel like you are seaside each day. The pool was my favorite thing, it is a lazy river so be sure to bring reasonably sized floats or a boogie board. The cafe inside had delicious food and we paid $60 to feed our family of four. The complimentary breakfast was the same as most hotels and yummy. Waffle makers, oatmeal, toppings for oatmeal, eggs, sausage, bagels, etc. One complaint would be the elevators can get slow. During rush times you can get into a few minutes of waiting time. Overall, we would go back! Worth the money.

Finally, the years on the road and brand loyalty paid off. They comped my upgrade to king suite, with balcony, on the highest floor. Which meant, the best views from the balcony. Located away from the epicenter of PCB, that means less crowds, more beach, less noise, more peace... everything I want in a beach vacation. Just waves crashing on the beach, breezy days, and space to decompress. The hotel is brand spanking new, and looks swanky, modern, and sleek. Modern amenities, everything is clean, decor is minimalist... Again, the views from my room is fantastic. I would recommend a higher floor and any room ending in 01. That will get you the corner, and you get an unobstructed view. Hotel has a smallish to medium sized pool with a small lazy river. Good enough for kids , but way too small for most of us. It does open late, so you'll get to use the pool till 9pm during summer. Breakfast is included for everyone in your party. They serve the basics,.. powdered eggs, biscuit, sausage, grits, oatmeal, fruit, bread, bagel....and you can make your own waffles... which is a hit for most folks. By the end of my trip, i was really tired of the breakfast... could have used some real eggs, maybe an omelette , and some real bacon.. Parking is $20 per day. But its the best parking lot ever. Your cars get a beach front view. Yup... the parking deck has a side that faces the beach... I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting PCB.

Such a beautiful hotel, staff is friendly and accommodating. The food was fantastic. Great family hotel. They also had a DJ at the pool that did games for the kids. We also rented chairs and umbrella on the beach from a 3rd party vendor that the hotel recommended and it was worth it.

Oranges left in the bed with unclean sheets

Don't stay here! This is your warning! This place looked nice online so we decided it'd be good, plus it's a Marriott, they have standards...WRONG!!! First we try to check in and they said our room wouldn't be ready for a few hours. A few hours later, still not ready. While we continued to wait, people were coming down complaining about EVERYTHING, should have taken the hint at that point. Finally we get to our room and thought the worst was over. The room was filthy!!! We found an orange in the sofa bed with uncleaned sheets, crumbs and hair in a bed, crayons in a bed, clothing stickers on the wall and trash in the drawers! The housekeeping was in the hall so we told him, he acted shocked. We went straight to the front desk(like everyone else) and got a new room, thankfully. The power went out three times during our stay. There were never pool towels, I only saw the pool towel guy once...he must have quit. From day one we had no shampoo and conditioner, the front desk said it would take 3 hours so I finally tracked down housekeeping again to get some. They also only put decaf coffee and tea in our room and the shower curtain was full of mold. I tried and tried to call management. I only got hung up on it the phone rang and rang and rang. We shouldn't have to pay 300 plus dollars a night for this kind of treatment. I'm extremely disappointed in Marriot. We will NEVER stay here again and I recommend you don't either. It wasn't just our experience, it was everyone staying here. The hotel might as well shut down until they get it together.

The amenities are fantastic and definitely worth the extra fee. They have a hula in the evenings that they encourage people to attend. The food at the bar is acceptable and the drinks are good, especially the margarita is strong. The other sugary drinks might not do their job. The staff was fantastic and I believe her name was Victoria at the front desk who was a delight to work with.

Front desk weren't especially open for discussion when asked where the sofa-bed went. And the hotel was full?? A huge miscalculation in the equation for us, since we planned for 5 days stay. It was expensive also and was chosen due to that it fitted 6 pax... One in the party sweared to oceanfront and that was indeed breathtaking. So we went to Walmart and bought an air mattress, but obviously not so good option to sleep for 5 nights. The resort however was clean and the staff in general was attentive and service minded. Especially the staff at the front door was one of a kind. In the steaming hot weather there was always a smile and we will fix attitude when golf cart picked and dropped us to the parking lot. The food in the View bar was great, but a little more attentiveness could have been better. The restaurant had also amazing food, butpricey. It helped that you get 25 paper money for each day that can be spent in the bars or the eating places in addition to kids under 11 eat free. The ice cold water, fused with berries and the ice cold tea is a work of genius, placed outside by the pool and the lobby. The cost for an umbrella and a couple of chairs 60 dollars at the beach is pricey, so go to Walmart and buy instead chairs for the entire tour for the cost of one day. The beach was clean but unfortunately too much seaweed, so that was a minus. Rooms weren't cleaned but the towel and garbage was changed and picked. We had to book that a day prior. We didn't have a roomphone that worked the entire trip, in addition the drawer by the bed, wouldn't close. That was also annoying but again the pools, the oceanfront view and the beach all made up for that. So all in all, new experience and fun for the small kids but we will look for other option that aren't that pricey but with oceanfront. It was many of those that weren't listed online that were better in terms of location and cost

Do NOT rent Villa 1911 at Edgewater from Khushbu Patel…read more This was by far one of the worst rental experiences we've had. We arrived around midnight to a hot, uncomfortable unit -- the A/C was clearly struggling to work properly. We informed the host, Khushbu Patel, right away. At first, she seemed receptive, but that quickly shifted. She later accused us of causing the A/C problem by leaving doors and windows open -- which was absolutely false. The windows in the unit don't even open, and we were extremely careful to keep everything closed. Things got worse. We were told by the host to vacate the property on Saturday evening around 7 PM, and we did exactly that. I even followed up with a message and a phone call to confirm we had left. Despite this, the host later accused us of staying the second night -- which was entirely untrue. I had clear evidence of our departure, but the host continued to make false claims. This experience was stressful, disappointing, and handled with a total lack of professionalism. I would strongly advise anyone considering this unit to look elsewhere. There are plenty of places at Edgewater that offer a far better experience -- and respectful, honest hosts.

The prime rib was actually well done, and tough. The salmon Benedict was chewy, not supposed to be. Potatoes were actually cold, when I went to get my prime rib, one of the workers did not want to help me, so he simply stepped back and pointed at another worker to help me. We were served water in plastic cups, and no decorations on any of the tables, for the fantastic Mom's. The Bloody Mary was not good...no mix, just vodka and Tobasco. The photograph on their advertisement for this Mother's Day brunch, showed a plate of food and a mimosa. They offered no description of what was included for the $95 per person. I called them twice and left two messages. I also left a message on their Facebook page, simply asking for a description of what the $95 included. No response, nothing. This is a place that is highly recommended on 38, and we see no reason to recommend this place to anybody or to ever revisit going here. Also, upon asking our waitress for our check, we were told that there would be an automatic gratuity added, which turned out to be just over $60. Non negotiable. We watched the manager who was resting a khaki colored suit, white hair, and glasses, walk around to almost every table in the restaurant, except for ours. We will not be back. Our opinion is that it is overpriced, subpar, quality food, nothing fresh about anything, average service, and really sneaky with the service fee that they add on after your meal is completed. Thank you.

My husband and I booked a 4 night stay for our PCB trip at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites…read moreBeachfront. Our room was great and we are glad we booked this room! It was very accessible, had a great view, a sink and large fridge and microwave and a large bathroom. We booked for the beach access and that was one of our favorite parts! It was so easy to get on and off the beach. The pool offerings are great, but the lazy river is not lazy! The current is very quick and it's hard to make the turns. My husband and I both scraped our knees and toes on that pool! It was the toughest pool I have been too. That's why it wasn't 5 stars. I did send a message to the front about the pool. With the amount of families here I really wish they had hired life guards for the pool. We were sitting to the side of the pool, and had kids do a hand stand and kick us. Kids were also doing cheer poses and moves that are unsafe in the pool. I saw kids dip each other in the water in a way where they could drown the other. Just made me feel uneasy, and we really didn't use the pool after that. The other downside was when we arrived only 1 out of 3 elevators were working so you had to wait or use the service elevator. On Thursday they fixed the second elevator- but the 3rd elevator had not been fixed by checkout Saturday. The other reason why it's not a 5 star rating. I talked to the front desk and suggested they give guests an event calendar for the week- we didn't know they had poolside movies and a fire performer until we heard music coming from outside. The front desk workers couldn't really tell me what movies were playing because their events screen was broken. I also wish they had a paper menu and activities calendar in the rooms or displayed on paper if their technology isn't going to work well. Another thing was since there is tile throughout there is water everywhere. It would be cool if they had like a drying station or large mats by the pool areas/ entrances so water isn't tracked through the hotel. Other than that, we loved the location, the breakfast, the breakfast seating, beach access and amenities! I would definitely come back for the value of this hotel, and hopefully next stay the elevators and technology will be working.

I want to start by saying the staff was AMAZING! And the property was beautiful…read more But the management needs WORK. First off, we were charged the full amount for our room a few days before our stay, we were then charged the full amount a second time the day after check in. ($2600, so not a small amount of money) The manager told us it will take 5-7 days to refund. It's now been over a week and we haven't gotten a refund and have not heard back from the hotel after numerous emails and phone calls Second, our room smelled so strong like weed the final 3 days we were there. To the point that our clothes smelled like weed when we got home. I told the front desk and they came up numerous times and sprayed stuff to help the room smell better. It helped for a few hours. The girl at the desk said someone must be smoking even though it's a non smoking property. We couldn't move rooms due to the hotel being fully booked (totally understandable considering it was spring break) but nothing was ever done in an attempt to find the room of smokers and ask them to stop blowing their smoke into our vent. We have a 2 year old and to have all her clothes smell like weed is pretty frustrating. Lastly, we paid for parking when we checked in so there would be no extra fees at check out, we were then charged for parking ($120) again after check out and once again we have not heard anything back about a refund. Like I said the staff was amazing. But losing almost $3000 is not acceptable. Not everyone can afford to just have 3 Grand taken from them. And having no communication regarding a refund is very frustrating. If we don't hear back soon we'll have to contact a lawyer. I'd highly recommend staying somewhere else based off the money and weed issues. But if you can afford to just lose money, then definitely book here. If it weren't for the double charge I'd be giving a 4 star review
