Rooms were ok, but they ought to be for the price! Showers were old with no hand wand, no pushed out curved shower curtain, tub was a bit slippery, water pressure good, towels some old some new. Free breakfast not much to it. everyday scrambled eggs, cold potatoes (every day), greasy sausage patties and dry links. Bananas only fruit. Got yogurt, and blueberry muffins. The pool, oh my, it was kids run wild: jumping off the rocks (the sign said don't climb), kids under 10 years old in the hot tub without parental guidance (again against the rules), kids with balls and footballs throwing the length of the pool ( almost got hit a few times) another "major" violation which could suspend you from pool rights, never happened! The parents seemed to disappear! Then of course the parents saving chairs when they leave for a 2 hour lunch (I know that happens everywhere). Stella at the bar was fabulous and as busy as she was she had the added job of pool security, oh my! Last the folks at the front desk were wonderful, but the first place vote goes to Victoria who works the beach! Give that women a raise, a keeper, wow, can't say enough about her, a just fabulous person. We were so excited for this trip and chose SpringHill Suites PCB because it looked like the perfect fit for our family. After driving nearly 10 hours from Arkansas, we arrived only to be told our confirmed reservation had been canceled. Before arriving, I had communicated directly with the hotel regarding accommodations for my autistic son and even received a personalized "We will see you soon. Safe travels!" message. Needless to say, finding out we no longer had a room was devastating. Watching my children looking out over the pool, excited to start our vacation, only to tell them we had to leave was heartbreaking. My autistic son became overwhelmed, and what should have been a happy memory quickly became one of the most stressful travel experiences we've had. I do want to give Expedia credit. They stayed on the phone with me, found another hotel, and continued communicating with me throughout the process. Unfortunately, my experience with SpringHill Suites after that was disappointing. The explanations I later received from the property did not match my experience or the written findings Expedia provided, and getting straightforward communication from the hotel became very difficult. One thing I can comment on from the short time we were there is the parking. While the garage is attached to the hotel, it isn't especially convenient because the lobby is located on the fourth floor. Depending on where you park, expect a bit of walking and multiple elevators before you even reach the front desk. I understand that reservation issues can happen. What disappointed me was the lack of consistent communication and accountability afterward. Families spend months planning and saving for vacations, and I hope no one else has to experience what ours did. read more

Currently staying here. This has been the worst experience at a higher end hotel we have ever experienced. I was double charged for my room and had to have an accountant from hotel look at our room charges which takes 2 days for them to figure out. Alleged we will be refunded for the double charges but we shall see. They have a skeleton staff working here. No housekeeping, no one cleaning pool area. At check in you are told that housekeeping comes on the 3rd day of stay which isn't happening. I called for towels at 730 am and had to call 4 times throughout the day to finally receive them at 5:30 pm. Today again no towels or housekeeping and when I called to check again I was told to go pick them up myself from the front desk because they have no idea when someone can bring them. The only good thing is the location of the hotel. The beach is beautiful but for an expensive Marriott hotel it is a MAJOR disappointment. Do not book here. Find somewhere else, honestly anywhere else to stay than here. So sad to have our family trip affected this way and no one seems to care one bit. Our stay at Springhill Suites was very unexpected. Me and my family had driven nearly 9 hours to have a vacation with some extended family. Within the first few hours of arriving at our shared Air BnB, to make a long story short we had a very dramatic and painful falling out. We were crying, we were angry, everything was just so much to process. Ultimately, we didn't feel comfortable staying with them anymore so we repacked our things and left. We had no plans, no hotel reservations, nothing. My mom did a search for a hotel in the car as we were trying to process what just happened. Panama City Beach has always been a memorable vacation spot for us. Being only 50 minutes away, we booked a room and started our drive. Upon arrival, the interior is absolutely beautiful. Once in the lobby, we waited to check in. I could barely keep my eyes open because I had been crying so much. We were soon greeted by Austin. Right off the bat, his energy was so joyful and comforting. He apologized for being low energy because it was late at night. But you couldn't tell. He was just the sweetest. Once he gave us our room key, he told us that he would let the room be a surprise. My mom absolutely loves a balcony facing the beach and we were given just that. We got an upgraded room! Austin had been the reason I smiled that night. Throughout our stay, anytime we've seen him he's been so happy to greet us. "Hello dear! Are you having a good day?" Small interactions like that can really make someone's day. He's uplifting and positive to any guest he helps. What started as a vacation from hell, quickly turned into one for the books. The hotel is right on the beautiful white beaches and has a nice pool. There are several options for food without having to go out. The hotel is old but appears they did some upgrades. There is a thermostat on the wall which gives the appearance of central heat/air; however, it controls a noisy unit in the exterior wall. There are only two small drawers and bathroom counter is very small. Small refrigerator with one shelf that falls out if you put anything on it. Storage for personal items is lacking. Wallpaper in bath is peeling off the wall. read more

Since they're beach front, beach access was a total breeze. Facilities were clean and up to par for the pricy rates. Customer service was superb. The lobby was so inviting and classy. Our first time in PCB was very enjoyable thanks to having a great stay at SpringHill. It's very nice and clean, and so close to the beach that you feel like you are seaside each day. The pool was my favorite thing, it is a lazy river so be sure to bring reasonably sized floats or a boogie board. The cafe inside had delicious food and we paid $60 to feed our family of four. The complimentary breakfast was the same as most hotels and yummy. Waffle makers, oatmeal, toppings for oatmeal, eggs, sausage, bagels, etc. One complaint would be the elevators can get slow. During rush times you can get into a few minutes of waiting time. Overall, we would go back! Worth the money. read more

Access to/from major roadways being good. The SpringHill line is part of Marriott's family of hotels and is more upscale than not. So when you have a room that doesn't pass muster for cleanliness, with empty shampoo and body wash (which, of course, you only discover when you are in the shower), and front desk staff who are unapologetic, it is hard not to be disappointed in your stay. The complementary breakfast, though, was quite good and took the edge off of my grumpy attitude. The staff for this was very good. Finally, the years on the road and brand loyalty paid off. They comped my upgrade to king suite, with balcony, on the highest floor. Which meant, the best views from the balcony. Located away from the epicenter of PCB, that means less crowds, more beach, less noise, more peace... everything I want in a beach vacation. Just waves crashing on the beach, breezy days, and space to decompress. The hotel is brand spanking new, and looks swanky, modern, and sleek. Modern amenities, everything is clean, decor is minimalist... Again, the views from my room is fantastic. I would recommend a higher floor and any room ending in 01. That will get you the corner, and you get an unobstructed view. Hotel has a smallish to medium sized pool with a small lazy river. Good enough for kids , but way too small for most of us. It does open late, so you'll get to use the pool till 9pm during summer. Breakfast is included for everyone in your party. They serve the basics,.. powdered eggs, biscuit, sausage, grits, oatmeal, fruit, bread, bagel....and you can make your own waffles... which is a hit for most folks. By the end of my trip, i was really tired of the breakfast... could have used some real eggs, maybe an omelette , and some real bacon.. Parking is $20 per day. But its the best parking lot ever. Your cars get a beach front view. Yup... the parking deck has a side that faces the beach... I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting PCB. read more

Beautiful hotel. Very nice rooms, just steps from the beach. Unfortunately that is where it stops. i was here with my 3 granddaughters for Spring Break. Front desk attendants were amazing. The rest of the staff, unfortunately, were not at all friendly. They acted as if we were bothering them and never acknowledged any of the guests. Pool towels were not readily available,so we had to bring our own. The breakfast buffet was top notch, unless you came past 8am. (They were supposed to be serving until 9am). None of the food was replenished and by 8-8:30 am there was literally almost nothing to choose from. We ended up purchasing sandwiches at the cafe. Housekeeping is basically nonexistent. They have a policy of every other day, starting with the 3rd day. We had housekeeping twice, both requested. They empty the trash and replenish towels, tissue paper and make the bed. The sinks are not wiped out, toilets not cleaned and nothing in the room is wiped down. Also, no vacuuming at all. Being on the beach, it means we walked on sand our whole visit. I would expect much more from a Marriott branded hotel. Even though I am a Marriot Bonvoy member, I do not plan on staying at any Marriot for any of my travels. It was very disappointing. read more

I stayed at this hotel on a girl's trip with two other women. From the moment we checked in, the woman at the front desk acted as if helping us was an inconvenience. Then, one morning at 8 a.m., a group of men entered our room after knocking, despite us clearly saying not to come in. They entered anyway, claiming they were conducting a fire alarm test. As three women, this experience was extremely uncomfortable and frightening. On several other occasions, the cleaning staff entered our room even though we had the "Do Not Disturb" sign displayed and had told them not to come in. One night, while we were quietly playing music and chatting, we received a knock at the door. A very angry woman asked us to turn down the music, even though it wasn't loud. We apologized and immediately turned it off. Not even five minutes later, a man in a uniform showed up, yelling at us, and threatening to call the police or kick us out if we didn't stay quiet. In both instances, the treatment we received from the hotel staff was inappropriate and unacceptable. I would not recommend staying here if you're looking for a peaceful vacation or want to avoid being harassed. read more

Don't stay here! This is your warning! This place looked nice online so we decided it'd be good, plus it's a Marriott, they have standards...WRONG!!! First we try to check in and they said our room wouldn't be ready for a few hours. A few hours later, still not ready. While we continued to wait, people were coming down complaining about EVERYTHING, should have taken the hint at that point. Finally we get to our room and thought the worst was over. The room was filthy!!! We found an orange in the sofa bed with uncleaned sheets, crumbs and hair in a bed, crayons in a bed, clothing stickers on the wall and trash in the drawers! The housekeeping was in the hall so we told him, he acted shocked. We went straight to the front desk(like everyone else) and got a new room, thankfully. The power went out three times during our stay. There were never pool towels, I only saw the pool towel guy once...he must have quit. From day one we had no shampoo and conditioner, the front desk said it would take 3 hours so I finally tracked down housekeeping again to get some. They also only put decaf coffee and tea in our room and the shower curtain was full of mold. I tried and tried to call management. I only got hung up on it the phone rang and rang and rang. We shouldn't have to pay 300 plus dollars a night for this kind of treatment. I'm extremely disappointed in Marriot. We will NEVER stay here again and I recommend you don't either. It wasn't just our experience, it was everyone staying here. The hotel might as well shut down until they get it together. read more

The hospitality industry is in need of more hotels run by the incredible Melinda L. Who is the general manager here and her fabulous front desk staff especially Angelica. This hotel is 5 star through and through. The location can't be beat. It's in the middle of the beach but also feels private enough without large crowds. The beach is pristine, clean and crystal blue waters. The hotel is gorgeous, exceptionally clean and a beautiful layout. The staff is so friendly and eager to please. The free breakfast is gourmet in a huge clean modern buffet area overlooking the Gulf of Mexico! It felt like I was at a 5star all inclusive resort in the Caribbean. The room we had was a family room, with 2 Queens, a brand new sofa that pulls out, and a cute aquatic decor mini room with 2 bunk beds for our kids. They loved it. The room had 3 flat screen TVs and a balcony that over looked the pristine water. The sunset and sunrise from the balcony was awe inspiring. It wasn't busy or if it was, we didn't feel it. All our requests were accommodated. Thank you to the staff for going above and beyond. This kind of customer service is what sets hotels like this apart and will keep people coming back. With so many choices from hotels to vrbos etc I promise you will not be disappointed here. A huge thank you to the general manager Melinda, her level of professionalism and care for her customers is unmatched and the hospitality industry would be better off if she ran it all. We had a great time staying here. We arrived and had booked an inland facing view. Since, I was am Platinum Status, they were able to move me to a gulf view room after one night due to availability. So we spent the rest of the trip facing the water and had a balcony, something the inland facing rooms did not have. This was great for drying swimsuits, towel, etc. The room itself was modern and well appointed. The TV was not centered so only one bed could really watch, but that was no big deal. The free hot breakfast was great. The space is large so you didn't feel crowded. The views from the 4th floor sitting area where everything was was amazing! Loved eating breakfast and looking out. There was also an outdoor deck you could sit on as well on this level. The pool area was great and your wristband and pool card got you towels. There was not an issue with people walking up from the beach and crashing the hotel. The beach was right there so our biggest choice each bay was beach or pool. The lazy river was perfect and I only wish there was a deeper end to the pool. On Sunday, there was a DJ in the afternoon who ran some games for the pool guests. read more

Pictures are real deceiving! We tried calling ahead of time to ask questions prior to our arrival - front desk put us on hold for 15 min. When we finally got there was only one person working with a line of atleast 10 people waiting. Our room was so dirty, they never cleaned the room the next day. When we arrived initially we asked to extend our room another day, we were told it . After staying here we decided to stay at another hotel and cancel the extension they told us it was not even extended. Would not recommend! read more

Unfortunately, my business trip to Florida in November had cold rain every day, so I was unable to enjoy the beachfront location and the pool with poolside bar. In any case, my room was on the water side and the view and surf noise were nice. They let me check in at 1:00, which I really appreciated. The room was roomy and comfortable. The fitness center was basic but functional. I had a problem with my billing and I called after I got home and the Manager straightened it out immediately. All the staff were great, including the bartenders. Would be 5-stars, except for a few issues: 1. $20 parking per night is a gouge. 2. The Hosted Reception for Marriott Bonvoy members was chips, canned cheese sauce, salsa and some sort of vodka & punch from a jug. Not great. Meanwhile, they jammed me up for $18 for a Basil Hayden. It's a $50 per bottle bourbon. Pretty outrageous. So be careful when ordering at the bar. Anyway, I will return next time I'm in town. read more

We stayed here for a wedding back in June. The view from the front desk is excitingly beautiful--can't beat the beach front access. The hotel is clean with decent food options. The main knock to this hotel rating is the elevator set up mentioned in other reviews. It really is overwhelming. Anyway, I came to leave this review for the best customer service we received. I believe her name was Carol Queen. She was the bartender at the wedding we attended in the hotel and she literally went above and beyond during and after the event for us. We spent 5 nights here. Location is amazing, right on the beach. Room was large and clean. Due to COVID rooms were not being automatically cleaned daily but would be if asked. So we had them clean ours on the third day. Had no problems getting fresh towels. We were in the 13th floor on the beach side. Front desk people were very friendly. Pro/con: Was happy that they were serving hot breakfast foods even during COVID. However in the 5 days the selection never really varied. The only change I saw was one day they offered sausage links rather than patties. Only real negative comment is about the pool. While the pool itself was great the water was pretty cold since only is only March. When we asked we were told three of the four heaters were broken and they didn't know when they would be fixed. read more

Sad to write this review but very frustrating to say the least. I attempted to coordinate a conference room and food service for 90 people with this hotel and everything was going great. The extremely nice women on the phone was working with me on everything and was going to send me my quote, which was numbers we spoke over the phone. I didn't get a quote for a couple of days so I called back and left a message. Another day passed with no call. I called again and this is where the trouble started. Pretty much everything we discussed fell through and they decided I needed to have a 25 room, prepaid commitment. This obviously changed the entire plan.... Not sure what changed from renting out a conference room to needing to have 25 rooms, prepaid, to rent their conference room for 5 hours. Place looks awesome but definitely was a disappointing experience with them. read more

I think I found my new place to stay while visiting Panama City Beach. The hotel is practically brand new, and if you opt for a room facing the gulf, the views are breathtaking. The rooms are a decent size- even though i wouldn't quite consider them a "suite" as its just one big room. Lots of amenities here - a nice (albeit short) lazy river with some water features, a pool-side bar, and limited service bar on the main lobby level. My only gripe is that I didn't get my Marriott Bonvoy points for opting into the Green Choice program. Tried reaching out to the hotel and Marriott corporate after my stay to get them posted, but couldn't get a reply from either. Marriott, if you're reading this, please check your email!!! read more

I rarely write reviews and I was not expecting to have anything to write about since the cost of this hotel was very economical. To my pleasant surprise, this hotel was, take-off-your-shoes, clean. The representatives were very nice and efficient. Check-in was so quick that I hardly remember it and that's refreshing since I was there to relax. When I entered the room I noticed the ocean view through the large windows. Then I noticed how the room framed the ocean view, perfectly. The balcony is amazing and large. I'm 6'4" and there was plenty of room to stretch out and enjoy the view with love ones. Simply amazing!!! The restroom was well designed and the shower had very good pressure. Would have been 5-Stars if the breakfast was better. However, it was included with the room. Parking was $15 per day. When I'm in Panama City, this will be my home away from home!!! read more
