We even cleared the entire space beforehand to help expedite their process and reduce costs. However, we were shocked to be charged over $6,400--nearly $2,000 more than agreed. We understand it's not always going to 100% reflect the quote, but there was no prior notice or written approval of extra charges. When we questioned the overage, they claimed they gave us "their most generous discount to date," which was misleading and unacceptable. We disputed the charge with American Express, but were told the final bill they gave us after the work counted as "written notice," despite no prior communication about the increase. This is unfair and contradicts their own contract terms. After consulting with an attorney, we were advised the company is in breach of contract. If they do not refund the overage and honor the original quote, we are fully prepared to take legal action. This review is a final effort to resolve the matter before going to court. Future clients, proceed with caution--get everything in writing.

The company pushed for an in person estate sale DURING THE HEIGHT OF COVID in 2020. Almost no one came to the estate sale, so it only earned $400. However, they billed $3000 just expenses toward the estate sale, resulting in a loss of $2600. After my father passed they hounded me for payment (including additional charges to move his materials to his new home, which is reasonable). Of course, my father had dementia and had no ability to sign a contract, but not wanting this to have this drag on I paid to leave this behind so I could grieve. This business claims to provide compassionate service for the elderly, but our experience showed otherwise. They exploited my father's situation, pushing unnecessary services onto him and charging exorbitant fees, all while providing negligible results. They failed to respect my family's needs and showed no accountability for their actions. If you are looking for a service that genuinely cares about its clients, I strongly advise looking elsewhere. SHAME ON JAMI SHAPIRO THE FOUNDER. NOT TRUSTWORTHY AND DISHONEST AND WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR LOVED ONES. The dispute is over holding an estate sale that earned very little in revenue insufficient to offset the costs of estate sale, and then threatening (very quickly, when I asked any clarifying information about the bill) to take us to small claims court so shortly after my father's move and his passing. That is not compassionate care. This could have all been prevented had her team donated my father's possessions rather than held an estate sale. Furthermore, her condescending remarks towards me reveals plenty about how she thinks of her customers.

They were rough with delicate items and I ended up with broken glass, marble, and ceramic items along with stretched and torn artwork on canvases. Many things were broken beyond repair, and the storage looked like a junkyard when I opened it to retrieve some items I had asked not be packed. I couldn't even step inside the storage when I first opened it! Andre came to help and within a couple of hours everything was taken out of the storage and organized into different categories. He didn't ask many questions. I was happy to not be very involved in the initial removal of the items as it was almost traumatic to see the things I owned carelessly thrown on top of one another. It was such a relief to see everything packed back into the storage unit and taking up less than half the space that the movers had originally left completely full. If I would have known of Andre's service, I would've hired him to come in and help me before I hired the movers. That way all my important stuff would have been protected and cared for better.
