Incredible Super Heroes! In the movies, the first thing we…read moresee a hero do in order to win our hearts is some small act of kindness or warm-heartedness and gentleness. Screen writers call it "saving the cat". Just recently Algonquin Heating & Air-conditioning did just that for my family! They literally saved our cat! She had crawled down through a floor heating duct and got stuck. Very stuck. Like no way out but to take the tube down and pry it apart stuck--in a crawlspace! (I know, I know. I should never have removed the register.) The technicians they sent out could not have been kinder, more eager to help---and expert at their craft! They crawled on their hands an knees over pea gravel all the way over to where the cat was, disconnected and pulled down the very long tube, gently pried some of it apart, and with lots of patience and gentleness, coaxed the cat out. They even led the charge in catching her as she ran all over my crawl space scared out of her wits!! After all of that, they did a free checkup of my furnace (including a new air filter) and taped up a bad spot in my duct work that substantially improved the air flow! That, in turn, eliminated my urges to pop off my floor registers to try to get more heat or A/C into my little home studio. The cat was saved and the furnace air flow works so much better now! THE END (roll the credits) Epilogue: After about three days, our cat finally calmed down, came out of hiding and is doing fine. Although she is right now, at this very moment, as I'm writing this, sniffing around at the very register where she was previously stuck --and I'm not making this up! to quote Dave Barry. But, you know what they say about cats and curiosity..... I'm on to you, cat. That register is never coming off again! Asked their technician to come out to perform an inspection and provide a report for potential home buyers. They failed to provide the service and have failed to follow up on phone calls and emails. The report was a simple invoice with notes. This would have been acceptable except for the report containing notes contradicting the verbal report the technician gave. They added notes such as "could crack any day" and "recommend replacement" immediately after noting the HVAC system was in good condition. I don't appreciate their effort to gain business at my expense, their dishonesty adding notes to the report they never discussed verbally during their inspection, or their lack of customer service. These issues were shared with them in an attempt to resolve them and they have not responded (phone or email) since they said they would get back to me over a month ago. They do not care about addressing customer concerns or following through on the service they promise.
