First thing to know, Downtown Omaha is kind of a grocery store desert - or at least that was the impression I got from my visit. We were travelling with our toddler and while I KNOW she should be 100% off bottles, we are picking our fights and she still enjoys one with her milk in the morning and in the evening. That being said, we only brought two bottles and planned on cleaning them as we went. Our only problem was we forgot dish soap. After asking the front desk where would be the easiest place to find some they recommended Cubby's and they were right! While you pay convenience store prices, it was easy to pick up what we needed and they had a few options which was nice. The store itself has a good variety of food, snacks, odds and ends, and likely serves as a little grocer for anyone who lives nearby. I wouldn't say I loved this place so much I would definitely return, but I will say it was clean, had what we needed, and was conveneint, which really was about all I could ask for in a nearby convenience store.

I usually find them well stocked, moderately clean and with boxes of of merch waiting to be stocked. The staff feels hurried and disinterested. This store is a refreshing upgrade. This location does not have much to "love," and we only stopped here because we needed fuel for both our vehicles and our bodies after a very long day of driving. Everything here seemed like it hadn't been given any Love in quite some time and had I known, I would have pushed through to some other station rather than bother stopping here.

On 04 September, I fueled at this convenience store. The gas hose would not turn off immediately,…read moreas is normally the case when a pump hose/shutoff is operating correctly. The result was that the gas flow diminished, but dripped gasoline all over the side of my vehicle as well as my hand. I filled the vehicle, shut it off, waited, and the hose continued a trickle of gas until it was put back into the pump receiver. I reported it to the operator who told me that I probably didn't have it shut off! After over 55 years of using gas pumps, I know when a pump nozzle shutoff is working correctly. The operator basically ignored my report, and wrote it off as just another dumb tourist, or someone who was asking him to fix something that he knew could not be fixed. Wrong answer. The pump should have been put out of service, and reported for a check-up and maintenance if needed. The rude operator ignored the request and let a safety violation go unchecked. A big no-no in the gas service industry!

So I only paid $1.67 for the bottle of Creamy Body Wash with Cocoa & Shea Butters! Like an old school price!!!
