I sent over a message and received a reply that they would be out on Wednesday at 9 to take a look. After arriving 40 minutes late they took a look said he would get back to me with a quote later that day and that we could schedule it as soon as the following Thursday. After 5 days and multiple follows up I finally got a quote. I immediately responded and said let's schedule this. After waiting another 24 hours I got a response saying that Saturday could be the install day. For personal reasons Saturday wouldn't work. It's now been 3 days and still haven't recieved a response. I ended up using a different company for the project, a company that showed up on time, gave me a fair quote within a reasonable time frame, and made scheduling easy. Quality of work from at least 4 years ago was excellent. After this experience I'm not sure if I would consider them or refer them for another install or repair.

We began by ripping out existing plants, pavers, brown gravel, and artificial turf for both a putting green and a general use area. We started by building a pool (a cheap plug for Dolphin Pools who did an amazing job). After the pool was completed, the second half of the project was ready to begin. This is where Colorworks stepped up to the plate. I could not begin this without mentioning one of the owners, "Jon Hammel". Colorworks Landscape Design, Inc. received rave reviews on Google and Yelp, so we reached out and were promptly scheduled for a complimentary estimate. Upon Jon's arrival, I could sense his excitement and creativity as he envisioned transforming our dream backyard into the upgraded space we desired. Although we had a plan in place, Jon skillfully incorporated his unique ideas, resulting in a comprehensive rendering of the project. We were immediately convinced that Colorworks was the ideal choice for our project. What truly set Jon apart was his unwavering honesty and thoughtful approach to refining our existing plan, ensuring that it reached its full potential. I want to clearly state that there are many stages to such a massive project. There are always going to be delays, and we had a few. Additional parts needed to be ordered, and of course, the weather did not always agree (lots of rain). Since our backyard is not the largest, every inch of the project required attention, and Jon fully comprehended that. The project included 3 large retaining walls, 164 Sq ft. of pearlescent travertine, 18 Indian laurel ficus trees with 6 tons of topsoil, 450 sq ft. of Daytona 80 0z turf, 4 stoned columns on a pergola, a wood accent backdrop for pots, and white rocks. This also included taping into existing irrigation drip, electrical lines, and reusing leftover pavers in other areas. Jon (along with our ideas) was the brains of the project, but Cesar Aldama is the contractor who brought it all together. Cesar, along with Ginato, is an excellent team. They showed up on time and worked tirelessly each day, and consistently cleaned up before they left. They always treated our home with respect, and we couldn't help but notice. Cesar is an expert in construction projects and possesses extensive knowledge in the field. My wife, being meticulous and OCD, wanted perfection in the job. Cesar meticulously coordinated with us on every aspect of the project, providing valuable advice on what could and couldn't be done. He is truly an artist, and we couldn't thank him and Ginato enough. The straightforward truth is that Colorworks fulfilled their promise! I can't forget to mention other members of the team that did amazing work: Jeff (owner), Mark, Manny (Turf installer and his awesome crew). Cesar, the Project Manager, came out on both install days and again at the end to walk it with us. Israel led the crew and checked in with me throughout -- he actually spotted a sprinkler leak before any work started. They leveled the soil first, so the grade came out smooth and even. Two things stood out. They left us a spare patch of turf in case we ever need to repair a section. And the cleanup was immaculate -- you genuinely could not tell there'd been a crew tearing up the yard that morning. Communication was the best part. Email, text, phone, in person -- always knew what was happening and when. No complaints at all.
