They were giving out free shirts so that was a fun reason to check it out. It was much emptier than other stadiums that I have been to. Usually, we are crowded with other people who are coming in but everything runs smoothly here. I don't know if that is because the team is not doing well or it usually is like this. We were able to look around and see the local vendors. They have the usual fast-food options with some DC specials like Ben's Chili Bowl. I did not try it but I have heard good things. We were able to go up and see the game. Unfortunately, they did not win. It was disappointing that Anthony Davis and Trey Young didn't play but what can you do? It was fun to see a game here and I hope to come back next time I am in town.

Representing 2nd quarter 2019 in scrapbook series is Nationals Park. I've been to Nationals Park…read moremultiple times over the past decade. My very 1st game was on Memorial Day 2013, which was a Beltway series against the O's. At the time, I was living in Alexandria; so I was geographically closer to DC than Baltimore. So naturally, I was rooting for the Nats. My friend who was a Phillies fan was rooting for the O's. In 2021, O's became my #1 team, and Nats moved from 2nd favorite to least favorite. Nats gained a bit back, maybe now 4th or 5th least favorite team. In spite of not liking the Nats now, it's still a solid ballpark. At some point, I'll give a 5-star review to Camden Yard in Baltimore. I like Nats Park better than Wrigley Field (Chicago Cubs)...see my 3-star of them from October 2025. Rate Field (Chicago White Sox) I gave 4-stars that same day in October. I think Nats Park is even a bit superior to Rate Field. The thing that is a winning factor for Nats Park is some good city views of US Capitol & various other buildings particularly in the nosebleed seats. The ballpark is spacious. You come in a grand entrance. Their mascot is Screech, an oversized bald eagle. But even more well known are the oversized Presidents. I've said hello to Lincoln (my favorite President) as well as Washington, Jefferson, & Teddy Roosevelt greeting fans. By far, Teddy is the most popular people root for when they race around the ballpark in the 4th inning. I'd be happy for Teddy as that's what the majority want, but I don't have a strong opinion. Regardless of who wins, it's entertaining to watch. In September 2015, I took pics of US Presidents in race greeting fans in the front. For a few years, they were honoring William Howard Taft, who was the 1st President to throw out a ceremonial pitch. It was in April 1910 in DC, the Washington Senators vs. Philadelphia Athletics. I'm pictured with Calvin Coolidge who they used for some of 2015 season in the race. Eating options are plentiful, but of course overpriced, but some good unique variety. In August 2024, I had Arepa, which was great. Fun fact: The last FIVE games I was rooting for the other teams (Rangers, White Sox, O's, Reds, & Brewers all lost when I saw them), and Nats won. My intention is good luck to the other team, but just my luck Nats win every time. Maybe I should go when Dodgers or Yankees visit; that's when I'd want to give Nats some luck! In July 2023, I was rooting for Texas Rangers. I had the starting pitcher in my Fantasy baseball league. My friend was running a bit behind. I waited by Metro for him, and I was checking on my phone Rangers didn't score in 1st inning. Then, it was Nats turn at bat, and all of sudden I heard loud cheering, it was a 3-run homer, then a 1-run homer. 4-0. My pitcher got lit up with 36 ERA in the 1st inning. I was annoyed with a rain delay that occurred. Almost the entire DC area wasn't experiencing rain but an isolated thunderstorm blew through Alexandria & Reagan National Airport and came right over Nats Park. The rain lasted maybe 15 minutes, but the game was delayed 1.5 hours, which I thought was ridiculous. I thought it might've been a ploy to get people to buy more drinks or food. But I wasn't going to do that. So instead of eating dinner after the game perhaps 6:30 or 7, it was after 8 PM. In September 2023, I had extra leave time for work I needed to use by end of month. I went to a Wednesday day game against White Sox. It was high scoring game for Nats 13 runs, and slightly below the median with only 3 for the White Sox. In May 2024, I was decked out in my O's shirt & hat for the Beltway series. Of course, my O's were bums...their final # of runs was a big fat O, while Nats got 3 or a sideways curly W for them. Then, Nats beat Cincinnati Reds when I was there in July 2024. Carly Rae Jepson performed that night, which was cool. Finally, in August 2024, I was rooting for my Milwaukee Brewers. But of course, they had to be total bums until 8th inning, where they caught up to only lose by 1 run. Conclusions: Nats Park is good solid ballpark. It's not the most architecturally appealing on the design like more the classic Camden Yard style, but it still does the job for good spectating.

I'll give this a four star review if you were able to get tickets for around $150 each on the…read moresecondary market for a midweek day game with a smaller crowd but I'd give it three stars if I was paying full price (around $250 each) for a game with a large crowd. We got there soon after the gates opened and had no trouble getting a table. It's wait staff service for seating, you don't just grab a table. There's a decent number of tables but it didn't seem like nearly enough for everyone if the section is anywhere near capacity so I'd say get there early. Service is friendly as they bring your beverages (free wine, beer, soft drinks and other alcohol at an additional charge per drink). You get the food yourself from various buffet stations around the club. Areas included hotdogs and half smokes (lamely didn't include Italian sausages or brats, they need to add those); tasty flank steak with sauce and rolls that were past peak freshness; a pizza station I didn't try; a brunch station (assuming for just 1pm games) with super tasty bacon and a hash brown casserole; and a station with chicken, grilled asparagus and a tasty cucumber salad. They also had lots of desserts including key lime tarts and red velvet cake. They also have items you can take to your seats including packaged ice cream bars, chips and of course roasted peanuts and cracker jacks. The seats themselves are of course great seats with extra wide seats and comfortable padding on the bottom of the seats. Pay attention for foul balls though! You also can order free beer, wine and certain free snack items such as ice cream sandwiches, peanuts, hot dogs, popcorn, and a few others and an usher brings them to your seat. You can also go back into the club to get something to eat or drink during the game or just to cool off for a few minutes. I do have to say I only saw one fairly small restroom for the entire club. There might be others I didn't notice but otherwise I could see there being a wait when the game is sold out and this place is packed. Overall a fun time that I enjoyed and it's worth to try once and maybe check out a game or two each season if you can get cheaper tickets on the secondary market for a less crowded hut I don't personally see it being worth the price at full price for a sold out game.

I purchased 3 sets of tickets using the link they gave us. I ended up using 2 different emails accidentally to purchase the tickets and then couldn't access them. I reached out to our ticket rep immediately to try and rectify the situation. He told me to give them until the following week because they had a huge event that weekend. A month went by and I didnt hear back. With the game soon approaching I reached back out to try and rectify the issue. After multiple attempts, I was finally able access and transfer the tickets to my friends the day before. Prior to attending, I asked 2 different arena staff members about their policy for hand flags. I even shared a photo prior to purchasing 25 of them for oue group. When I arrived I was given a hard time by security and ultimately was told they weren't allowed. This was so frustrating. I was allowed to leave them at guest services to pick up after the game instead of having to throw them away which I guess is the bright side. They also have $5 wines on Wednesdays!! At the end of the game, we were able to meet the player and take photos and that was definitely a highlight!

Our spot on the second floor was the perfect vantage point and we could lean on the railing in front of us and a railing was available in each of the tiered standing sections. The venue has a cool look with the lighting around the floors and even has an outdoor balcony on the second floor where you can overlook the waterfront. I want to come back here again for another concert to experience it again.

The main floor is largely standing room, which creates fantastic energy, but there are ticketed seats in the balconies if one prefers enjoying the evening without fighting for territory on the floor. The bars are large and remarkably efficient, and even the bathrooms deserve praise: spacious, clean, and designed to keep crowds moving. Getting in and out is generally painless. Popular shows can produce quite the line outside, but it moves surprisingly quickly. Another point in its favour: you can bring a small bag and an empty water bottle to fill inside, a civilised little convenience during a long show. The Wharf location makes the entire evening even better, with loads of restaurants and bars nearby for dinner or drinks before or after. Great venue, great atmosphere, and consistently enjoyable. I always love seeing shows here.

Arena stage is a performance arts center that offers many plays, musicals and shows during each…read moreperformance season. They have 3 theatres within the venue. There is also a bar to order drinks before the show and during intermission. Tonight we saw the CrazySexyCool TLC musical and it was phenomenal! The show was a biopic of TLCs journey as a musical performance group, the ups, downs, challenges and losses. I really learned a lot about the group as I listened to them growing up without knowing much about their personal history and life details. The main actors for T-Boz, Left Eye and Chilli were spectacular. Their voices were incredible and evoked a lot of emotions. The show highlighted many of TLCs music as expected and the show exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended!

Got here around 1030/1045 the other day to buy a hat from their team store which shows as opening…read moreat 9am. Locked. No sign. Went across the way to the ticket office. No one out front, actually had to call out "Hello???" to get people to come talk to me. Asked for someone to open the team store so I could buy a hat and got told to come back at 1230. It was a Thursday, I found the time to get here in the middle of the day, no. Open the store. Asked them to call whomever ran it and they did, got same answer, he'd be in at 1230. Was completely made to feel like an inconvenence. 4 people there, not sure all of them were employees, 3 dressed in team apparel and a 4th dress like they were going out afterwards, but not at all like an employee. Staff has 2 jobs there, sell tickets and sell merch, NO clue why they needed FOUR people (that I saw) to not do either. I'll pass on the George Washington hat, and if you're still reading go down the road to Richmond and support the Squirrels, at least they hire staff that don't come off as put out at having to not do their jobs.

My father called ahead of time since him and I are both disabled (we both have handicap placards and my father has a permanent disabled license plate) He finally got ahold of someone and they said if we want handicap parking up close get the gold parking pass. I paid 200 dollars for parking. Yes, 200. Parking up close is VERY important to me.. Nobody was helpful in guiding us to the lot we paid 200 dollars for. Also, they told us when we got there there's no handicap places, we just have to go and sit on a blue bench and call a number for a golf cart to pick us up. I called the number 3 times and somebody did answer. They were nice but not helpful. We ended up having to give up and walk. No workers were helpful, and when we would try to flag down other workers on golf carts they would not stop for us. They did not even look at us The stadium is very outdated. It looks extremely industrial and not welcoming Very crowded Lines were long There definitely was not enough bathrooms or food areas to keep up with all the people it can hold However, I did enjoy the seats we had. I liked the view. And the field looks great. I will say, the bathrooms for the MOST part were clean for over 50 thousand people being there. I did see a toilet overflowing onto the ground though. But workers were taking care of it This stadium needs a huge update. Do not waste 200 on up close parking. It wasn't even that up close and nobody came and picked us up despite us calling and waiting for 43 minutes (the game had already started while we were waiting) Again, I do have to hand it to the woman on the phone who kept answering. It wasn't her fault and at least she answered. So, if you are disabled and can't walk far, plan accordingly Every stadium is different So always check their bag rules. They've also won three US Open Cups (second-most in the league) and are the only MLS team to have won either the CONCACAF Champions League and the Copa Interamericana championship. So, when it comes to Major League Soccer, this is what you call a historically elite team. DC United was one of the original 10 teams to begin MLS play in the league's inaugural season in 1996. They had success right out the gate, winning the MLS Cup in 1996, 1997, and 1999. The team carried that success into the 2000s, but aside from their 2013 US Open Cup win (where they were underdogs), they haven't won anything of consequence since. A couple of the most well-known players and coaches from DC United include Bolivian forward Jaime Moreno and American midfielder and coach Ben Olsen. Moreno and Olsen were teammates on the 1999 and 2004 MLS Cup championship teams. Moreno has gone on to set club records in many statistical categories including most appearances (427) and goals scored (162). No other DC United player has come close. The season immediately after his last as a player (2009), Olsen took the reins as head coach in 2010 after the firing of Curt Onalfo. Olsen went on to coach DC United for an entire decade (2010-2020), by far the longest tenure of any club coach. For the first 22 seasons, DC United played in the old RFK Stadium (opened 1961) which was used for a variety of sporting events including Washington Redskins (NFL), Washington Nationals (MLB), and Military Bowl (NCAA Division I FBS) games. The team has played at Audi Field since its opening in 2018. I'll be honest that it's…read morerare I ever go to a play, but in 2019-early 2020, it was a pretty common occurrence as I was part of INWEGO. In April 2019, my friend got me to join INWEGO. We each got a credit, which made it nearly free. On April 12, 2019, I went to Arena Stage for the 1st time, and the INWEGO era began. You'd pay $19 for 1 show a month, $39 for 3 shows, & $59 for 5 shows. This included plays, concerts, sporting event, comedy, & other various events. I visited National Theatre 4 times all on INWEGO: 1. Tuesday, December 10, 2019: Fiddler on the Roof 2. Thursday, December 19, 2019: Jersey Boys 3. Tuesday, February 11, 2020: King's Speech 4. Wednesday, March 4, 2020: Bandstand A lot of great shows. Some good vantage points from the level to upper level section seats that I got along with my girlfriend of that time. It was a cool, grand venue. Each time was its own unique experience. December 10, 2019: I'll be honest that I was upset with my girlfriend of that time on that day. I had gotten home from work to quickly eat & take Metro down. I had some couscous at home. She was making it, but she had doctored it with cannabis. She had feminine issues that day, but I was pissed she ruined our couscous that night. I barely could talk to her I was shaking with anger. Ultimately, we were committed to going, and I still wanted to see Fiddler on the Roof. It was a great show with a great first impression of National Theatre. December 19, 2019: My girlfriend & I didn't break up on or shortly after December 10th's couscous. We were pretty good for Jersey Boys. This time my friend who got me to join INWEGO was joining us for the play. I remember my g/f & I had some disagreement in the early part of the evening around dinner, but I don't remember what it was about, and it didn't spoil the night. Jersey Boys was my favorite of the 4 plays I think. February 11, 2020: King's Speech was a great play and a good night for us on the lower orchestra level. That was the only time of the 4 we were on the orchestra level. March 4, 2020: Bandstand was another funny story. We were in the upper balcony section once again. We met up with her friends another couple sitting next to them. At the time, we were taking this Covid thing with a grain of salt not realizing what we would be facing soon, saying time to social distance & fist bumping but not thinking much of it. After the show, I learned my friend who got me to join INWEGO was there too. We were texting about the Metro or something after the show, and I was like what a coincidence we are at the same Metro. He mentioned Bandstand. We realized we were in the same row. He was like 8 seats further down, but we didn't notice each other. My girlfriend & I thought it was interesting he didn't try to coordinate with me. Conclusions: National Theatre is a great venue with a lot of memories. Sadly, INWEGO went out of business in Sept. 2020 as they couldn't survive the still Covid environment at that time. Perhaps, I'll visit National Theatre again if it was ever convenient.

Went to the National Theatre for the first time ever. The group I was with saw "Suffs" (short for…read moreSuffragists). It is a Tony Award winning musical that retell pivotal moments from the Women's Suffrage Movement, especially events that led up to the Suffrage March in 1913, the The National Woman's Party White House Pickets in 1917, and the subsequent events after over the decades. The story was told beautifully through a lot of music and dancing, humor, disagreements, losses, tragedies, and wins the women faced individually and together over the decades. I appreciate the play also addressing tough discussions that needed to be had, such as the movement often & purposely excluding women of color. I also appreciate the play highlighting the significant contributions Delta Sigma Theta, Inc. made with the 1913 March despite facing racial tension from the organizers who wanted them to be in the back of the march. Overall, I will say the theatre itself is very professional, especially with seating patrons and ensuring easy transitions before, after, and throughout the show. They absolutely do not allow any outside food nor drinks. I would suggest eating before or getting something light from the theatre. It is also very close to the metro rail (Metro Center) so transportation there isn't a hassle.
