When seeking advocacy and guidance regarding state benefits/waivers, staff casually advised contacting biological abusers to obtain personal records, completely brushing off safety boundaries and family abuse dynamics. When this gross oversight was brought to their attention, staff offered patronizing, defensive excuses rather than taking accountability for giving unsafe advice. If you are a disabled individual who requires an advocate who actually understands trauma, safety boundaries, or complex family dynamics, look elsewhere. Their dismissive attitude and lack of professional accountability make them unsafe for vulnerable clients.
