The technician that did the work said it would be around 8,500 dollars but the office would email me a more accurate estimate. I received the estimate and it was nearly 13,000 dollars. At that point I called the septic company I had used for years, they agreed all of the work needed to be done, they pulled the permits and did all of the work for 7,200. Also the original quote to just pump the tank out was 700-1200 depending on the tank size, my bill was 1900, when I complained, they dropped it down to the $1200

We took a tour (along with others who joined us) that was as informative as it was interesting. We saw some of the kennel areas, the outside runs, and a trainer or two who were working with recently returned dogs now learning to be guides for blind people. The staff and volunteers were knowledgeable and friendly, encouraging all of us to ask questions. It is a beautiful campus - clean, well-appointed, beautiful landscaping, and easily navigated by people with walkers and wheelchairs. Although we weren't there on graduation day, if you've never been to a Guide Dog graduation where the blind people "graduate" and get ready to go home with their new guide dogs, I encourage you to go. Graduations are held every few weeks on Saturdays and are free to attend. (I can't believe I didn't take more photos! I guess I was so enchanted with this facility that it completely skipped my mind.)

Sadly, not many others know what good work this little hideaway in Oregon does on a regular basis. This campus trains dogs from about 15 months old for the use and gaining of independence of visually impaired individuals FREE OF CHARGE. How cool is that? Just another reason why a donation to this organization would be welcomed and would go a long way. This is my second graduation ceremony at the Boring campus. It's a great little event and visitors are welcomed for this or a short tour. So, if you'd like to see some good work in action, go to a graduation ceremony, held the second and fourth Saturday of every month. It will really open up your eyes to what these little dogs can do.

He said bring it back. I took it to a shop in Sellwood. They did a great job. They told me if they couldn't make it better they would not charge me. Why would i bring it back to the same place if that was his best job? I have been going to antique stores since i was 10, over 60 years. I will never recommend that repair shop.

I'm always looking for barware and unique serving pieces. They didn't have much in this department, timing is everything with Goodwill. Lots and lots of jeans - Americans clear obsession with finding the perfect pair and discarding dozens along the way. Small furniture, kids toys, books, clothing, bedding. All the norms. Plus lots of western boots, it is in the Mt. Hood area, after all! The prices seemed higher than other locations. a few small Pyrex glass baking dishes were $6.99 which is a buck or two more than brand new! No "finds" on this trip but when passing through, I'll stop again. it's all about the hunt.
