I have done about 25 all over the country and this one did NOT disappoint. A few considerations- be sure to be early. The room starts at your start time! They didn't require us to sign waivers like many places do. We did the Istanbul Gambit room, which I honestly was not stoked about beforehand. It didn't sound like a very interesting theme. But ya'll, I was wrong! Furthermore, this room didn't just ask you to escape, but also to complete a few other goals too. I liked that! The room made great sense and had a lot of neat reveals. The room did feature a combination of old school keys and locks and codes, and more advanced locks and puzzles. There's a lot of surprises in there. Be sure to bring a competent team because this room does not play around as far as difficulty goes. They also offer unlimited hints, so feel free to ask for help if you need it. My only real critique is that when we did ask for one hint at the end, the game master gave us TOO MUCH information. But that's a quibble. Check this place out. It doesn't look like much from the outside but it was great!

Luckily we started out as 2 people then jumped up to 6. We tried the Depths theme. I 'twas my first time doing an escape room. They had a room with lockers to put our stuff in. Maria was our GM for Special OPs and Kiara was our GM for Gold Rush and they were hands down bar none the best GMs we have ever had. They were fun friendly and happy. They were so great we came back the next day and did Cosmic Crisis, Mission Mars, and Prison Break. When we returned the entire staff seemed just as happy to see us as we were to be there. During these games all the GMs were tremendous and happy. We left there feeling like we were part of the Escape Game Team. Even though we live in California we are hoping that we will see Maria and Kiara again and escape some rooms with them. All the GMs are great, any player would be absolutely lucky to have either Maria or Kiara as a GM!

At the time we went they had just opened and had a CSI themed room. We were excited to check it out! After entering the room they quickly explained the rules, gave some simple instructions and then left us to solve the mystery. Our group was ...challenged lol. I loved that we moved from room to room and there were even interactive options when needed. I wouldn't say we escaped... technically we ran out of time but sorta solved it. All in all it was a lot of fun and I'm excited to see what they do with the other rooms. Price point seems right on track if not more affordable with other escape rooms. The fact that they have a party room is an added bonus that I'll be taking advantage of in the near future. I love when a business puts thought into the space and experience and it's clear they did! I would highly recommend checking it out and adding it to your list of things to near in and around the twin cities.

At first I was a bit skeptical. Get locked into a room with my work colleagues for an hour to try…read moreto solve puzzles to get out of the room? As soon as we were locked in, however, the fun began. Riddler's Escape is St. Cloud's second Escape Room. There are two rooms to choose from - Detective Lockwood, which is akin to a Sherlock Holmes kind of mystery, or the Capricorn Killer, which is a bit scarier room. Our work colleagues and spouses were split between the two rooms. Neither of us succeeded in "escaping," but great fun was had by both teams. Each room will accommodate up to 10 people. We were there with about 7 per room. I think that, had we had another person or two, we might have moved along more quickly. After signing a waiver, locking up your phones, and watching a short introductory video, the game-master introduces you to your game and then you're ushered into your room. The clock starts ticking, and you're free to explore the room to find clues, puzzles, and more. Each puzzle leads you to a key or some other clue so that you can advance toward your final discovery, which is the code that lets you out of the room. You're able to ask the game master for clues every 10 minutes, if you get stuck. We were stuck a couple of times, and took advantage of asking for clues. I highly recommend doing that, as it keeps things moving along. It was a lot of fun, with a few surprises along the way. I highly recommend the Lockwood room for families, friends, work colleagues, team building, or just some out of the ordinary entertainment. The room is well done and everyone had an enjoyable time. I wouldn't recommend the Capricorn Killer room for young children.

I won't spoil the experience for future teams by revealing too much, but I can say it was well-scooby-doo-branded and brought back memories of watching Scooby and the gang on Saturday mornings. The staff here is always so friendly. Parking and entry is easy. They have made adjustment for COVID -19. Great experience.
