We have never been to an escape room. On our two-year wedding anniversary, my husband decided to surprise me by booking a room at Trapped Puzzle Rooms. Per my husband, it was last-minute and he found this place with excellent reviews. Overall, I had a lot of fun and would visit again. Outside exterior is a small building/house. It is street-parking and there is a 2-hour limit street parking along the residential area around the corner. Upon entry, the employees were very welcoming. The place was very clean. We were asked to sign an electric waiver. They have lockers with key locks available. We were paired with another couple, which was great. (More brains to help solve the puzzle.) It is recommended that you arrive 15-minutes early to sign the waiver and go through a small orientation. We did the Harry Potter theme room. The room was very clean. I loved the construction and overall design. Overall, it was very fun and my husband and I hope to visit their Minneapolis location to do the other Harry Potter one.

I adored my avatar, Anna. She was such a fun gal to hang with!

I am Matt, aka ESCAPE MATTSTER! \(^-^)/ LOVE all things escape room & puzzle game related! OFFICIAL SPEC - Game: The Heist: Remote Avatar Experience - Difficulty: Not specified. - Time duration: 70 minutes limit. - Capacity: Minimum of 3 players, and maximum of 8 players. Private booking. TL;DR... THE QUICK VERSION - Premise: Infiltrate an art gallery to steal a stolen artwork back. - This company's known for audio-led games, this new avatar-led option also rocks! - Online version very close to their original, in-person experience. - The many pieces of art in the gallery are original, amusing, and beautiful to the eyes. - The puzzles made clever use of art props, are well-themed, and a mix of gen 1 and 2 challenges. - Avatar is affable, Telescape web interface offers online "mini puzzle" and complements nicely. - My subjective thoughts: 3 to 4/10 difficulty (team of 3), ideal team size of 3 to 4. - Special note: game may lightly involve outside knowledge. THE TAKEAWAY Having previously witnessed first-hand what Trapped is capable of basing on their audio-led games, I've always had a certain level of confidence they will do a good job with their project expansion. And thankfully, my instinct was proven correct with "The Heist". The folks from Trapped are hardworking, passionate, and evidently, very good at their craft. If more avatar-led options are in the pipeline, the escape room community is in for quite the treat. Signing off, ESCAPE MATTSTER \(^-^)/ P.S. Should you have any questions about this specific escape room, or about anything escape room or puzzle game related, feel free to message me!

My boyfriend picked up a take home puzzle box - the in between version. It was awesome! So fun, it took us about 3 hours. We used hints for a few of the puzzles just to either give us a nudge or so we knew we were going in the right direction. It was so well done and I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun activity!

You have backup when you need it. Your host is watching and can serve up clues when needed.

I recently locked six teenagers in the 'Library' trapped puzzle room. What can I say? It felt good locking them in a room and being on the outside, where I could watch them explore the room on surveillance cameras and listen to them solve puzzles. It was a great way to celebrate a 16th birthday with a group of teens. It kept them busy for nearly an hour -- and everyone that attended was anxious to return and try other rooms. Puzzle room workers were friendly and helpful. They kept participants on-task by providing clues and nudging them along, as needed.

We did a room for adults and kids and everyone loved it. Theme rooms are a huge plus for fans. Well designed and well executed.

My group did the Harry Potter room which I knew nothing about the books, movies, or puzzles themselves.

It's super fun but also very active, so be ready to move. Definitely feels like a workout in the best way. There are about ten different rooms and each one has a different challenge, ranging from brain teasers to full-on physical games. I love that there are different levels so it works for all ages and fitness levels. It's great whether you're competitive or just in it for a laugh. The only small downside is that each room only allows up to five people, and we were a group of eight. We had to split into two groups and mostly stuck with our original teams since switching around isn't always practical. If one team is already inside a room, the others have to wait and it eats into your play time. It would be awesome if they could make that part a bit smoother, but honestly it didn't take away from how fun everything else was. We're already planning to keep going back. I'd honestly sign up for a monthly membership if they had one. Way more fun than the gym and such a good way to hang out with friends while staying active.

There is a flat price for $75 minutes and there's tons of different rooms and timed activities and very challenging. My family likes this location because it doesn't get as busy so you don't have to wait too long for each of the rooms, there are basketball games, color jumping, trivia, running, hiding, and the time flies quickly! You get warm, sweaty, and hot. There are lockers you can tap in and out and water fountains but you do get warm. They have locations all over the North America-- the United States and I think Canada. You gain points/stars and when you reach a certain amount you get free items like a water bottle, keychain, basketball, shirt, etc. Parking is really easy out here.

All entrants pay an admission fee (kids under 5 years are free), and all video games, kids rides, and older-style games are free to play. Mini golf and some other activities are Ala carte. There is street parking and an underground parking lot, but, on weekends, parking can be tough to find. There is a cafe to purchase food. Options are flatbreads, baskets, tacos, and more. The food quality is pretty good, but pricey. I get it. The place probably has large overhead costs, so a business needs to make its margins. There is also a beverage wall with various kinds of drinks (mostly-all (?) alcoholic), which are self-pour. I forgot to take photos. Trust me when I say the place is very unique and is great to check out. Pros: - Great place to bring kids - The older-style games are very amusing Cons: - Food is on the pricier side

It was explained to me that the whole thing was run off an iPad in the back room. We went for New Year's Eve had a lovely time, food was great as usual. They even brought out one of my favourite pinball machines as a request. The only thing I could knock a star down for was I paid over $10 for probably the worst milkshake I've ever had. Seriously, the milkshake wasn't much thicker than water. And it was very small. Other than that, I'll just remember not to get the ice cream next time. The best thing about Can-Can Wonderland is the fact that it's a real arcade, not a kiddie ticket casino. And in the evening it becomes a very nice adults only place but still doesn't feel like you're gonna get in a bar fight but you can simply just have a good time..

What I love most is how interactive everything is. Each room is private to your group (up to 5 players), so you're always playing with the people you came with, no awkward mixing with strangers. It makes it perfect for families, friends, or even a team outing with coworkers. The Mega Grid is hands-down my favorite and the main reason I keep coming back. We arrived about 30 minutes early and still felt rushed. The mall directions led us to a first kiosk, but Activate is actually on the third floor, so that added some confusion. When we arrived, there was a fairly long line. I had pre-registered online using a gift card, but at check-in they initially said I owed the full amount. I had to ask them to locate and apply the gift card I had already purchased. Once that was sorted out, each person in our group had to sign in separately, which takes a few minutes per person. They did provide a free locker, which was great. I highly recommend putting all jackets and hoodies in there - you will get hot fast. Once signed in, the instructions are very brief, but easy enough to figure out as you go. We were a group of six and hoped to play together, but had to split into two groups. That ended up being fine because we competed against each other, which was actually fun. There are about 10 rooms, and each room offers multiple game options. Every game earns you points, and there's a large scoreboard showing rankings, which adds a fun competitive element. We went on a busy day, so we did have short waits for some games, but usually only a couple of minutes. One downside: I wish there were a water fountain inside the gaming area. You can't bring water bottles in, and while there is a fountain by the lockers, our one-hour session flew by and we barely had time to step out. Overall, we had a great time and would absolutely do it again. Tips if you go: 1. Arrive at least 30 minutes early to find it and check in. 2. Wear shorts, a T-shirt and running shoes. 3. Drink water before you start. Fun, fast-paced, and a great workout!
