    Kitchen "after"

Eagle Eye does amazing cabinet painting! I've used them for interior, exterior and fence painting and I'm so glad I inquired about cabinetry. In just 7 days they transformed my kitchen and master bath where dark walnut cabinets were making my space look very dated. They provided 8 1/2 x 11" samples so I could be sure of my color choice in all kinds of lighting. I was able to put my car on the street for a week and they turned my garage into a paint shop where they did the sanding, priming, painting and curing (they brought their own heaters!) Their prep is impeccable and the way they tent off areas to contain any spray or mess is impressive. And when they break down and leave it's so clean it's as if they were never there. They perfectly filled some large holes in the microwave cubby and installed my new cabinet pulls. The paint finish is smooth as glass. From my sales associate P.J. to Nestor and Daniel, these are true professionals.

This review is long overdue. I have two toddlers so I'm not one for having strangers in and out of my house constantly. Especially tribal tattooed men or ones with names like Blade. However, the owners at Eagle Eye manage to find the nicest, most courteous and professional oddly named men out there that know how to paint. Matt is one of the owners of Eagle Eye (PJ being the other) and he is on top of it when it comes to quick responses through email or phone, as well as scheduling estimates or appointments. He's very knowledgeable and knows a lot about wood and paint. Behind every great man is a great woman, so really it's probably Dianna (the office manager and Matt's wife) who's telling him what to do. Am I right?? :) We've had Eagle Eye in our home twice now since we bought our home two years ago. One job was to paint the walls of an extremely tall stairwell and the other was to paint all of our dingy, "smoker white" interior trim and doors to very bright white. There are over 40 shades of white and we're not exactly fans of yellowish "smoker white." Aside from the previous color, our trim and doors looked like it was used as target practice. Think dings, smudges, and holes. For this big interior project, we had Josiah leading the project with his right hand man, Blade. They were PUNCTUAL. I told them they could start at 7am everyday, and by 6:50am they would be outside ready to work, but never knocked until our agreed start time. Everyday they would roll out all that drop cloth and begin working promptly and efficiently, making sure to keep things clean and put any blinds or furniture back where they belonged after finishing a room. They didn't just paint. They caulked, spackled, sanded, and made sure to have a good base before painting. They brought in 2-3 more guys to speed up our project and within a week and a half, I had a brand new looking house just from the trim and doors getting refreshed. My mother-in-law came over after the job was done and she was IMPRESSED (and you know how mother-in-laws can be, takes a lot to impress them). I don't use this word often, but their work is amazing. AMAZING. We're having Eagle Eye come back to our home next spring 2018 to paint our exterior which is exciting but also sad because I'm running out of things for them to paint. Maybe it's time for my husband to buy us a weekend home...

The updated kitchen, which started off a retro lemon yellow. They took off Every. Single. Cabinet. to make it happen.

Eagle Eye did great work on four rooms in my new house and they'll be the first ones I call when I'm ready to do the rest. There were rough spots in desperate need of patching on every wall and dozens of cabinet doors that had to be taken down, so it was far from an easy job, but they were sympathetic to my schedule and fit my project in when they had an unexpected opening on a rainy few days. What a difference in the quality of the rooms! The team - Matt, who put together the quote, and Dan and Blade, who worked onsite - took initiative at every step and I didn't have to micromanage the process at all, which was a tremendous relief. They kept everything organized and were very personable throughout each stage, from the scheduling and the consultation, to the work and final walk-through. Thanks to all of them! I love my new house so much more after all their efforts.

Not only did the build out take forever (7 months), but since picking up my van on my first/second use, I have had roof leaks because they didn't install the "C" gaskets right for the AC unit, I experienced multiple leaks in the pressurized plumbing system (see pictures below) which caused wood damage to the cabinetry due to poor PEX seals, I still have no relief from the misbehaving (and Rydawell recommended) Ecoflow electrical system, I discovered they failed to insulate the sliding door, they actually plumbed the gray water lines into the BOTTOM of the gray water tank using the same penetration point as the drain (this caused water to back up into the shower pan when using the sinks (not to mention it would fail completely in freezing weather) and I discovered that the Rixen heating system was installed against manufacturer recommendations (to name just some of the issues). This has caused me thousands of dollars to get repaired (so far) at another (competent) van builder. While his hourly rate may seem cheaper, it takes him much longer to accomplish work items. As an example, his quote to install a 2nd battery (which he was supposed to have left room for) was twice as long as I was able to get it done elsewhere by professional van builders.

After booking my appointment weeks in advance (he couldn't get me in sooner than that?), he was a COMPLETE NO-SHOW. Apparently, even my texting him earlier on the same day of that first missed appointment didn't make him realize that we had an appointment that day. After he didn't show, I called him, & he rescheduled for the very next day (why did it take him weeks to get me in before?). And then he canceled the SECOND appointment an hour or two before the appointment window was ending, so effectively, a no-show 2 days in a row. (I had taken 2 days off work for him.) He told me he "didn't do" the floor repairs I needed an estimate of, though he had scheduled me for exactly that in the first place, & prior to the FIRST missed appointment, he already had photos of my flooring. Then he never texted back after just telling me he wouldn't help me. His communication was consistently slow or absent. One of the worst parts was that when I wrote a complaint about him on Yelp, he had the nerve to reply & say he had never heard of me & that we had never done business together, not realizing I've got ALL the receipts--incoming & outgoing phone calls to his phone number, and texts showing exactly what he said to me & when he said it--he even signed his name to those texts. When I called him out on his outright lies, telling him I could prove it, he literally immediately deleted & rewrote his reply to me to be all sweet and apologetic, which REPLACED the answer where he basically called me a liar & said he had no idea who I was and that we had never been in contact. (He replied that to someone else awhile back, too. Makes me think that was a lie as well.) Ilya is a DOUBLE NO-SHOW, an outright liar, & a real piece of work. SUPER shady.
