I can't really add much to what others have said. My house was just painted by Eagle Eye, and everything about it from initial contact to finished job was superlative. What I would like to add is that the house has 100 year old cedar shingles with multiple layers of old peeling paint. The prep work required was highly technical and physically challenging. Some painters either won't take this on or don't do all that is required. It wasn't just a painting job, it was a restoration and preservation job. We hired Eagle Eye for a complicated paint job on our house. Their bid came in at the middle of the three we obtained. They were communicative, diligent, hard-working, pleasant, and extremely skilled. They came when they said they would, and they charged what they estimated. They did simply outstanding work, and the house looks stunning. Several months after they finished the job, I emailed the owner and asked if they could touch up the house after we had some lights and an air conditioner installed. Again, they came when they said they would, and again they got the job done promptly, and they did it skillfully. These guys know what they're doing, and I simply couldn't recommend them more highly. Eagle Eye does amazing cabinet painting! I've used them for interior, exterior and fence painting and I'm so glad I inquired about cabinetry. In just 7 days they transformed my kitchen and master bath where dark walnut cabinets were making my space look very dated. They provided 8 1/2 x 11" samples so I could be sure of my color choice in all kinds of lighting. I was able to put my car on the street for a week and they turned my garage into a paint shop where they did the sanding, priming, painting and curing (they brought their own heaters!) Their prep is impeccable and the way they tent off areas to contain any spray or mess is impressive. And when they break down and leave it's so clean it's as if they were never there. They perfectly filled some large holes in the microwave cubby and installed my new cabinet pulls. The paint finish is smooth as glass. This review is long overdue. I have two toddlers so I'm not one for having strangers in and out of my house constantly. Especially tribal tattooed men or ones with names like Blade. However, the owners at Eagle Eye manage to find the nicest, most courteous and professional oddly named men out there that know how to paint. Matt is one of the owners of Eagle Eye (PJ being the other) and he is on top of it when it comes to quick responses through email or phone, as well as scheduling estimates or appointments. He's very knowledgeable and knows a lot about wood and paint. Behind every great man is a great woman, so really it's probably Dianna (the office manager and Matt's wife) who's telling him what to do. Am I right?? :) We've had Eagle Eye in our home twice now since we bought our home two years ago. One job was to paint the walls of an extremely tall stairwell and the other was to paint all of our dingy, "smoker white" interior trim and doors to very bright white. There are over 40 shades of white and we're not exactly fans of yellowish "smoker white." Aside from the previous color, our trim and doors looked like it was used as target practice. Think dings, smudges, and holes. For this big interior project, we had Josiah leading the project with his right hand man, Blade. They were PUNCTUAL. I told them they could start at 7am everyday, and by 6:50am they would be outside ready to work, but never knocked until our agreed start time. Everyday they would roll out all that drop cloth and begin working promptly and efficiently, making sure to keep things clean and put any blinds or furniture back where they belonged after finishing a room. They didn't just paint. They caulked, spackled, sanded, and made sure to have a good base before painting. They brought in 2-3 more guys to speed up our project and within a week and a half, I had a brand new looking house just from the trim and doors getting refreshed. My mother-in-law came over after the job was done and she was IMPRESSED (and you know how mother-in-laws can be, takes a lot to impress them). I don't use this word often, but their work is amazing. AMAZING. We're having Eagle Eye come back to our home next spring 2018 to paint our exterior which is exciting but also sad because I'm running out of things for them to paint. We spent over six months renovating our home and it was not pleasant so I was not looking forward to the final step: repainting the exterior. Thankfully, working with Eagle Eye was easily the best experience we've had since buying our home. From the time Matt came out to give an estimate until the lead painter Josiah left every single person we met at Eagle Eye was punctual, professional, and polite. Their bid was reasonable and the work was finished a day ahead of schedule. They far exceeded our expectations in every way. Josiah and his team were fast, quiet and meticulous. They showed up when promised and communicated with both my husband and I. The only caveat I'll make is that exterior painting in Seattle is dependent on the weather so it is NOT possible to get a firm start date. Even with that, Matt stayed in touch and let us know what to expect. I would highly recommend this company to anyone with painting needs and just wish I had known about them for our interiors. I am so happy for all of you 5-star reviewers that they did right by you. It was good reviews that brought us to include this company among others to bid on what was a small and not overly complicated project at our house. It was important to us that the job be done in good weather, so collected bids early spring and made it clear that we wanted the job done before the rains set in and were assured we would be on the top of the schedule. The bid was not the lowest for sure but we were impressed by the owner who came to take the details and hear our concerns, so we gave them a deposit and began to wait. And wait. And wait. As the summer began to fade, we started the frustrating process of trying to call them to find out what was delay. They were very unresponsive and when we did finally get through to them, we were given vague timelines and excuses about other big jobs that had come in plus we were made to feel like we were being pests. Clearly, they prioritize bigger jobs over smaller ones. Finally in the middle of fall, after enough phone calls, we got them to start the job. They sent a single person to do the job, which ended up taking several days including Saturday and Sunday, which was very intrusive and inconvenient for us. We had been told they would send a team and the job would be one day and also way back at the start of summer. Of course, the weather turned bad and several parts of the job had to be redone as a consequence. The one person who was sent to do the job was clearly under pressure to get done as quickly as possible and did not seem pleased to be working through his weekend. There were a large number of mistakes that we had to point out and get them to fix and even in the end we just gave up and accepted the poor quality without hope of improved attention to detail. It is a contractor's market here in Seattle and small jobs like ours really suffer for it. read more

There were rough spots in desperate need of patching on every wall and dozens of cabinet doors that had to be taken down, so it was far from an easy job, but they were sympathetic to my schedule and fit my project in when they had an unexpected opening on a rainy few days. What a difference in the quality of the rooms! The team - Matt, who put together the quote, and Dan and Blade, who worked onsite - took initiative at every step and I didn't have to micromanage the process at all, which was a tremendous relief. I think the project involved a lot more work than they had anticipated, but they didn't try and claim differing site conditions or other changes and foist their additional costs off on me--they honored their quote, unlike some contractors. I would give a few extra stars if I could. I have a big house that hasn't been painted since it was built 40 years ago. It had redwood stain that had maybe been touched up 30 years ago. PJ and his team completed two interior jobs at our house, and it's been great working with them. Their work is outstanding and the ease of scheduling has made my life much easier. We've been homeowners for nine years, so we've been through numerous painters and are thrilled to have found Eagle Eye Painting. One of the projects they completed included the kitchen, which was poorly painted a bright orange red. Due to the previous painter's sloppy work, PJ's team had to make accommodations to fix lines that were not cleanly taped, etc. PJ also made efforts to cut costs to fit our budget (e.g. not painting the ceiling). The painters even did some touch up work for us while they were here, which makes them awesome people, in my opinion. Most recently, we had a very small job that entailed fixing drywall and painting the wall (altogether it took about 5 short trips). I was extremely appreciative of them after they completed this job because I know most people aren't interested in doing small jobs. They even worked around a sleeping infant to get the job done. I used to drive by the owner's house on my way to work every day and admire the Eagle Eye logo on his truck. Last year, when I gave up on trying to paint my interior myself, I decided to give them a call. It was busy season at the end of summer and Matt came over to give me a quote within days.It was reasonable and I opted to go for it. The crew, led by PJ Clarke, was professional, helpful and did great work. I was indecisive about colors for the kitchen and hall, and kept dragging the project out and adding work/time to the estimate. Nevertheless they did fast work and met my meticulous needs. The crew remained courteous and stuck with me until we had it right. 9 months later, I am still very happy with the results. When it came time to paint the exterior of my house, I called Eagle Eye again. PJ was again the project lead and Josiah was the lead painter. When I was picky again about colors and ended up extending the time of the project, they were polite and professional and took the utmost care to ensure every detail was just how I wanted it. Josiah even recommended a couple of ideas (which we executed) that would save me time and money on the project changes, and PJ came by to take care of the last finishing touches and inspect the work after Josiah started another job. PJ also reminded me that they had a guarantee and would come back within the year if the paint started bubbling (there are several layers of lead paint underneath the beautiful coat they provided me that may decay and create those effects). PJ's very knowledgeable about the science of painting and the nuances of what may occur with paint contact on different materials/surfaces and how that may affect the outcome. Needless to say, I give Eagle Eye my highest recommendation. I am obsessed with aesthetics, and I know I will be able to come home every day and be pleased with the way my house looks. p.s. Matt and his crew did a great job on our home. It took about 7 business days to finish, but it looks fantastic and to be fair, I added on two rooms last minute. At the end of the job, Matt was very clear that he would not accept payment until I had looked over the entire house and was satisfied with the work. I did find a few spots needing touch up, but those were taken care of promptly. The price was very reasonable and well below other quotes I had received.
