Christmas Breakfast Burritos: one red and one green.
Rick H.

If you aren't paying attention you will drive right by this gem in the middle of west central New Mexico. I first fell in love with this place 33 years ago working construction in the area. And after all these years, they are still offering some of the best home cooked food in the state. For breakfast we had the burritos: one red and one green. The sauce is what makes or breaks these dishes, and these are nearly perfect. Flavorful, bright, and just enough heat. They have a chicken fried steak on the menu that I enjoyed so long ago, that has not changed....the steak itself will cover your plate. If you are traveling in this area, adjust your plans to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner here. You won't regret it and the staff will make you feel like you are right at home.

I was going through this town and stopped here for lunch, I loved it! Not only do they also have a convenience store, gas and bar but they also have a restaurant! My food was very good and well priced for the portion and our waiter was phenomenal! She was very fast and super friendly!

The meat at this place is soo good. People who complain about fat must not like a flavorful steak. I loved it. Their pies are also really good.

Food was good, and cooked exactly as asked. Service was awesome from start to finish, attentive, personable, very friendly. The atmosphere inside was very laid back, nostalgic and like taking a trip to the past. Wasn't overly crowded with tables, and though the place was full, there wasn't a lot of background noise.

Special was corn beef and Cabbage and shrimp salad and both were outstanding! Great coffee and homemade pies too!

Amazing food! We were excited to eat some wholesome hood with fresh everything including fresh green greens.

This place is your one stop shop in this small burg of approximately 60 people. A gas station, meat market and yes... The Eagle Guest Ranch. The service was spectacular. The food was nothing less then awesome. The prices fell below what they should be for the amount of food you get. It was well worth the 1 hour drive.

This is inside the store. Funny!

Traveling through the backroads, I happened upon this little town and stopped here for lunch. I had the Mexican cheeseburger. It's a large seasoned beef patty with cheese inside a tortilla and then covered with your choice of red or green sauce. It was really good! The restaurant is closed due to Covid but they have takeout. It's a neat little town. I got to meet some of the townspeople. The also have a gas station and inside there is a meat market and small grocery store. The owners are very nice. My food came out fast and prices are very reasonable. Looking around the store, it's perfect for campers who need supplies. They have everything. On my way out of town I saw a few campgrounds. Once Covid is over I'm coming back to camp. The town is very small with some abandoned buildings. The scenery is stunning. Especially right outside of town.

Loved Eagle Guest Ranch! Definitely worth the drive out from Socorro, NM. Was out here for work and it was suggested by coworkers to try the best bacon wrapped ribeye and it did not disappoint!! Toni was a doll! Thank you for the southern hospitality also really good margaritas!

Yes - you should stop here! Don't let the gas station setting and the "don't blink your eyes or you'll miss it" setting fool you! This rustic restaurant alongside the highway between the VLA and Pie Town is essentially in the middle of nowhere but the food is a great deal for your dollar! This place also has a general store, deli rack and a butcher on site which may appeal to others in your party. This is a family business and you can feel the hospitality when you walk in. (Thank you!) The menu is deceivingly plain when you consider the decorated dishes that emerge from the kitchen. We had the Green Chile Cheeseburgers and they were super (just that after a traveling day and time at the VLA I could've eaten another burger). They are family friendly and have some nice Friday specials I believe must be made to draw in the hard-working local community. I had the blueberry pie a la mode to top of my great burger and it met all my expectations for a restaurant so close to the iconic Pie Town. You should definitely stop here if you passing through on Highway 60.

Considering the remote location, this is a great restaurant. I don't eat steak, but other people recommend them for the steak dishes.

Steak was good, had a bunch of flavor but a whole lot of fat. Approx 50% was far. The pecan pie was great. Skip the berry one.

Stackers Burger - Green chile cheeseburger

First time going to this location. I'm sad to say it wasn't as stellar as I had originally…read moreanticipated. This start off by saying the employee there was not very friendly. He walked away as I approached the counter. I was confused as I wasn't aware I had to order on the tablet on the counter. When I began using the tablet I was in search of the new mushroom burger they sent me an email yesterday about. Of course you know it's what I wanted to try. Sadly it wasn't on the menu on the tablet. When I called the employee for help I basically got the vibe he didn't want to be there and he was hesitant to approach. When he did come to the counter I asked about the burger even showed him the email to get told it's not out yet and it was coming soon. I found myself wondering why I even got the email if this was true. Needless to say the food came out really fast. I thought well that's good at least. The presentation was better than the experience. The cheese on the queso fries was pretty skimpy. There were way more fries than cheese which was disappointing. The burger I wasn't a fan of either. It needed more cheese and the stackers sauce tasted strange like it a chipotle sauce it wasn't the same as I recalled. I'm sad to say this is the second location I've had a bad experience with. It's really disappointing because I really loved this place. I guess I'll have to stick to the central food hall because so far that's the only location that hasn't disappointed me like this yet.

Still excellent I just wanted to make sure that I didn't confuse Indian food with Pakistani food…read morebecause that could get me in real trouble went again this evening and it was still fantastic.

Came here for lunch on a holiday weekend (Sunday). Inside was packed, but thankfully the outside…read morehad plenty of open tables and the weather was lovely. Ordered: Cheese curds: spectacular! Bigfoot burger and rosemary fries 1000/10 Cashew chicken, which came with a choice of rice (I got fried), sautéed vegetables (delicious) and an award-worthy egg roll. Chicken was good, but not as good as the burger. I think they use chicken breast, I'm more used to having thighs in these types of dishes. Just a personal preference. The egg roll, however was delicious. Two pints (and then two more) of the hef on draft to seal the deal. In short: go if you get a chance, go without any hesitation! Food is delicious, the venue is very cute and service is incredibly attentive and speedy! You won't regret it!

(Never got used to the cold version in Boston.) It was a mixture of lobster and other seafood but quite nice. My side was a green salad with a vinaigrette dressing and it was really fresh and good. My dinner companion had the truffle fries as his side. I couldn't resist stealing a few from his plate and they were very tasty. He ordered a Santa's Nightcap seasonal cocktail made with eggnog, rum, coffee liquer, whipped cream, and topped with a gingerbread man! I had an espresso martini. It was fine. I have nothing to compare it to since it was my first. The inside was nice but a bit on the small side. The booths had been reserved so we sat at a table in the middle of the room. The woman who waited on us was very welcoming. I must also mention the dog-friendly patio, complete with heat lamps. It looked magical decorated with hundreds of tiny lights. This restaurant is definitely a place to try. You can't miss it due to the giant Bigfoot statue on the sign in front!
