On the surface (on the web), this company looks like it has a lot going on - large selection of goods, good prices, and extensive web shopping options. I thought I'd take a chance on them and order a simple pair of riding gloves, which were on sale & the site said they were "in stock." I placed the order on a Saturday, figuring it wouldn't get processed until Monday, and I paid for USPS Priority shipping, which meant it should be received within 2-3 days of being processed.. Like clockwork, I got an email from Eagle on Monday indicating that they had received my order & that it would be shipped out that day. I also checked my bank account, and, sure enough, the charge had gone through. Looking good so far. 3 days later, I was anxious to receive my new gloves. Instead, I got an email that said, "Hello! This is a short notification email to let you know that we have CANCELLED your order. If you have any queries don't hesitate to contact us, Thank you once again for your custom! Regards, Eagle Leather - Lakewood." (And, no, those are not typos on my part. It's what the email actually said.) "CANCELLED?" No explanation as to why? No indication that a refund would be processed? (I checked my bank - Eagle still had my money, and no refund was showing.) Oh, and that email was generated on New Year's Day. What company like this works on New Year's Day? I called them on January 2nd. The person I spoke with first tried to tell me that the order was cancelled & that they couldn't find my gloves. Then she said she wasn't sure if they processed the refund. Then she said the found one of the gloves, but couldn't find the other one. Then she said she'd look into it & call me back. A gentleman called back later & said they found the other glove in a box of misfits. I asked him if he knew that the "pair" was truly a matched set, to which he said yes. I asked if they would be shipping them out that day. He said, "No. But, they could go out tomorrow (Saturday) if we use USPS, or Monday if we use a different carrier." I said, "Didn't I pay $9.75 for USPS Priority?" He said, "Oh, ya. I guess we'll get those out tomorrow." Then he wanted to charge me again before he'd ship them out! I told him it was ridiculous that I should have to pay twice for gloves I've never received and no confirmation of any refunds processed. He said he had to charge me again because they showed that a refund had been processed for the original order, though no such refund was showing on my bank account. I told him that I've already waited long enough for the gloves & that he should ship the gloves & we'd see if a refund shows by Monday. On Monday, late afternoon, just 2 hours before they were closing for the day, I got a voice mail from their accounting department indicating that they needed to see if I had received my refund so they could process a new payment so they could get my gloves shipped out. What? The gloves still weren't out? Why didn't they call me first thing Monday morning, especially given the already brewing fiasco? I checked my bank, saw the refund, called in the new payment, and asked if the gloves were shipping out that day. She said, "No, tomorrow." 3 days later, I finally received my gloves - some 10 days after the original email said they'd be going out that day. So much for paying $9.75 for Priority shipping. They should refund me for that! To boot, the gloves didn't even fit well, despite that I used their on-line strategy for how to measure your hand for a proper fit. Good experience? No way. I'm only giving 2 stars because of their wide selection & good prices. But their customer service should get a 1 star ... or less. I'll think twice before shopping at Eagle Leather again! read more

I quite going here for anything. I shopped here and spent thousands of dollars. I expect a little consideration in return I guess. Here is what happened; I bought $1,800 worth of gear on one shopping trip for my wife. Completely outfitted her in the best things they had. Less than two weeks later everything was stolen. My insurance would not cover any of my loss so I wrote an email to Eagle Leather explaining what had happened and ask if they could at least give me a discount to replace a few things. I did not get a reply to my email... NOTHING. I went in and talked with them in person and told them about my email and the salesperson went and talked with someone. She then came back to me and said the owner/manager got the email but decided that he couldn't give me any discount. I said I think I at least deserve a response to my email even if it was a "No we can't do that because..." response. I have been going to Cycle Gear ever since and do they ever help their customers out when something isn't right. I will never be back to Eagle Leather just because of their lousy customer service. read more

Tons of floor space with a lot of offerings from bike accessories, boots, helmets, jackets, and so much more WITHOUT the "HD" symbol on everything and therefor the cost markup that comes with those two letters! read more

My wife purchased her riding jacket here and we had excellent customer service! Additionally, I made the regrettable mistake of purchasing my leather jacket from Redline. After a few weeks the zipper was having issues. The only help I was getting from them was, "we will send it back to the manufacturer and they will repair it for you", but this would have taken two weeks. I called up Eagle Leather, told them the issue with the jacket I was having and that I didn't purchase it from them. The lady on the phone was extremely helpful and told me how I could tighten the slider and it fixed it! Great customer service, and very helpful staff! The store is great with a wide selection and the friendliest staff around, but this review is about their seamstress work. The gals who do their seamstress work are amazing - very friendly and very talented. But their prices have recently skyrocketed. I went in a couple of months ago and had four decent size patches put on for a great price. I went back a week ago and was told prices "went up a little," and that "it's based more on time now than size." I said ok, no problem, I understand. Well boy did I get an awakening. My first four patches were $22. My next trip, with only three patches that were all smaller and round (as compared to jagged like two of the first batch), and took them maybe half of the time as the first, ended up being $26. To say I was shocked would be an understatement. I won't be getting my patches sewn on here anymore, and wouldn't advise other folks to do so, either. I also learned on this trip that they can "save pockets," which I had previously been told wasn't possible. Guess it depends on who you talk to. read more

However I knocked an entire star off due to one o the Hispanic sales ladies. She is way to aggressive and honestly I want to avoid her when I go into the store. Excellent service from start to finish. Cami was my contact and I was shopping online. I am very tall and of a large build so I was finding great difficulty finding an armored leather jacket locally so resorted to making inquiries online. No other online stores responded in a satisfactory manner but Cami was great from start to finish - personally measuring various jackets for me and emailing back and forth again and again to make sure my chosen jacket would fit me. What was great was Cami's attention to detail - she didn't just sell me a jacket but insisted I get a friend to measure me properly before recommending which jacket I should go for. Cami also switched out different types of armor as I was particular about this so she really did go above and beyond. Jacket arrived within 24 hours of ordering and I am not even in the same state as Eagle Leather (and free shipping, too!). Very pleased with the jacket. Love this store. Lots of options to choose from, the employees are very knowledgeable and helpful! My only complaint is that every time I've gone to this store when it's raining, there are leaks in the roof all over. I've watched the employees scramble to place buckets underneath as not to get the water on the floor or merchandise. And it doesn't look like there's been any attempt to fix the problem. Well looking for motorcycle gear is pretty much limited to in person visits to the local Harley dealership where everything is extremely overpriced or eagle leather. Then you can trust the fitment and look of gear to online reviews at various web distributors where if you don't buy smart you could spend months sending the item back and forth until you get the right fit. And with motorcycle gear never fits like you expect and you can never trust the fit guide either. Lets just say that for motorcycle gear and accessories there is no competition with E Leather. the prices are at least 25 to 50 percent less what you will get at the HD dealer even before they put their discount on it, and the majority of the time they are the same or less by 10 to 20 percent less than the online dealers and you don't have to wait for FEDEX/UPS to deliver in 2-10 days. I was apprehensive at first to going there considering that my experience with customer service based retail businesses is not good. (you must understand that I am 6 foot tall 210+lbs with s*%#loads of tats and what some have described as a hate rape face). Normally when I need assistance with finding an item or product there is never a customer rep around and I have to go hunt and drag one back to help me or give up in frustration. Or if I know exactly what I need and where to go and am in need of absolutely no help or assistance what so ever, every freaking customer rep will bother me with "can I help you" or some other annoying variation. Not the case here, with the exception of one rep in particular. The staff here is more than friendly and extremely knowledge on the items that they are selling. Normally when I come in there is one customer rep in particular that is awesome and amazing. I can't remember his name which is sad because he remembers my name every time I come in. He is an older gentlemen, I only say that because he revealed his age to me during one conversation and I wasn't not expecting him to say he was that "life experienced". He has salt and pepper hair and wears glasses and was a Army vet there with JBLM as a helicopter mech. The dude lets me be when I just want to browse and check stuff out and when I do need help I don't even have to ask. I think he has ESP or recognizes my body language that I am lost or confused and is there to help me out at that very moment. On top of that he knows everything and anything about the stuff that he is selling. Any question that I had from the relevant to the obscure he knew the answer. I don't know who is in charge of pay raises and promotions but they need to give this guy a raise, because I know that myself has done considerable more amount of business than I probably would have because of this guy and plan to continue to do so. There is a flipside to this coin. I have had experiences with a customer rep when the above mentioned hero wasn't there that was not fun at all. An older Asian lady that works there is a bit overbearing and lingers way too much after you said that you want to just browse. Then she continues to force her way into the browsing and seems to have no rhyme or reason to the items she offers or knowledge on the items. Both times I have had to deal with her were not nice and one of the times left me with an item that was way bigger than I foreseen I would need due to here involvement even though I was trying to purchase the smaller size initially. Regardless of this, their prices are great as well as their service. Not everything they have is a steal or a bargain all the time but anytime that I have purchased the gear there, it always marked down considerably. Add to that they offer a 10 % military discount on items not already marked down. One piece in bought was 50% off. Holy S%(&. Amazing. All of the heated gear that I purchased was 20-30 % off and just as cheap as the online retailer but without waiting for shipping. My experiences there was awesome and as a matter of fact I plan on going there tomorrow to purchase some much needed winter riding pants. The staff there really makes the experience. read more
