Then I get a phone call…read more This woman was asking me all types of personal information and the same questions that I already did online. They wanted my income for 1 year. But yet they took all my vehicle information and job information etc. They need to tell people if they need to make a certain amount of money up front. And tell me what you want my credit score to be. They are not up front with you and it is false advertising. They are probably doing their own reviews. Then she turned me down over the phone after she took all my personal information. And they did a hard credit inquiry. A lot of Louisville, Kentucky businesses is turning people down and turning people away. They are all scammers, all they want is your personal information. Some of this stuff needs to change with the credit bureau, if you don't sign a contract and haven't made the first payment it shouldn't effective your credit score when they look at your credit. Because places like OneMain Financial is here to tell you no and to destroy your credit they are not here to help you they are here to hurt you.

Specifically, the branch in Clarksville, IN is horrible. I've started to have dealings with them twice and each time have had unreliable or unfortunate experiences. Credit Karma is out of touch with this company and the policies that were relayed to me as well. I have had two different loans with One Main in the past all working with the Goss Avenue branch that went well. These in store experiences were actually nice. HOWEVER (please excuse my use of all caps but in this case the caveat needs the emphasis). It's horrendous when a company you trust changes. Their rates can be almost predatory, but these do rely on credit worthiness of the applicant and are understandably not the same that you'd get from say a credit union or similar organization. One Main Financial as stands would not be recommended by me to anyone and I never would turn to them again. Please stay away from any useless hits on your credit report and turn to a better, more transparent company than OMF.
