Friendly people! Wonderful worship music and we loved the verse by verse Scripture teaching style from the pastor. We will return next week.

I am deeply saddened and disappointed by my experience at this church today. I have been coming to…read morethis parish for approximately 10 years, and it has been an important part of my faith and spiritual life. Unfortunately, the way confession is currently being handled has become extremely discouraging. Confession began at 9:00 a.m., and we arrived at approximately 9:08 a.m.--only eight minutes after confession had started. Despite arriving that early, we were told that the church had already "reached its limit" and that we would not be able to confess. I was also told that there were four priests available, which made being turned away only eight minutes after confession began even more difficult to understand. As a mother of a one-year-old daughter who is also currently expecting another child, simply making the time and effort to come to confession is not always easy. I made the effort to get there because my faith is important to me and because I genuinely wanted to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. To arrive just eight minutes after confession began and already be told there was no room for me was incredibly disheartening. I have faithfully attended this church for many years and have donated and supported this parish countless times because I believed in this community and its mission. I have never expected special treatment because of that support, but I do expect a church to do everything reasonably possible to make the sacraments accessible to the faithful who are actively seeking them. Confession should not feel like an appointment with a limited number of available slots. If parishioners are arriving within minutes of confession beginning and are already being turned away, then clearly the current one-hour window is not sufficient for the needs of this parish. Of all places, the Church should be where someone seeking forgiveness, reconciliation, and a closer relationship with God feels welcomed--not rejected because a limit has been reached. I understand that priests have schedules and many responsibilities, but limiting confession to one hour when there is clearly a much greater need does not seem realistic or responsive to the needs of the parish. As priests, you have an incredible responsibility to shepherd people toward Christ and the sacraments. When people are voluntarily showing up and asking to confess, I would hope that every reasonable effort would be made to receive them rather than send them home. What troubles me most is that I did not arrive near the end of confession. I arrived eight minutes after it began. If the capacity for confession is already filled within eight minutes, then something about the current system needs to be reconsidered. Parishioners should not have to wonder whether they need to arrive significantly before the scheduled start time just to have an opportunity to receive a sacrament. After nearly 10 years of considering this my church, today's experience left me feeling genuinely hurt and questioning whether this parish is doing enough to make the Sacrament of Reconciliation accessible to its community. I sincerely hope the parish reconsiders how confession is scheduled and handled. If the demand is consistently greater than what can be accommodated, then additional confession times, longer hours, or another system should be considered. The fact that parishioners can arrive only minutes after confession begins and already be turned away should be a clear indication that the current arrangement is not meeting the needs of the community. I am sharing this because I care deeply about my faith and about this church. That is precisely why today's experience was so upsetting and disappointing.

This company - "ministry" is a rip off and a scam. Do NOT Donate to them…read more I called a week ago for a pick up of my late grandfathers and aunts household belongings after we had an estate sale. They came out and told me their truck was full and I would have to reschedule. Also they requested that all items be put into boxes or plastic buckets. After I purchased 30 plastic tubs at $6 each PLUS tax and paid neighbor kids to organize the donations so I could at least walk up and down the driveway, I called for another pick up. There were over 100 plastic tubs full of movies, electronics, tools, household goods, and miscellaneous collectibles and some furniture all in good repair. In addition there are various antique radios that are valued between $10 and $1,000 along with tubs and tubs of parts for these radios. I was in need of their type of services a few years ago and felt that giving to an independent company would actually put work and $$ into the hands of those who need it. The second time they came out again their truck was full but they did manage to take all the new plastic tubs. I was told that I would be first on the schedule the next day. I called at 8:30 am as directed and was told the schedule had already been made and that I would FIRST on the schedule for Thursday, 10 days after my first scheduled pick up. Then today, Thursday, February 26th, at 1pm I called because no one had shown up. I asked to speak with the director and NOT Mike the scheduler. I explained my problem and of course she put me through to Mike. Mike told me that it is up to drivers discretion what they take and don't take and the drivers determined that they didn't want it and to have a blessed day. I explained that NO ONE had been by today and that rain is coming and it will ruin the antiques and furniture. He said again "all I can tell you is God bless you and have a blessed day" I have also written them a letter. Rain is coming in a few hours. I do not have the physical capability of returning the items to safe cover before the storm arrives and I am left with 60 + buckets of items I can not physically move. Their behavior is outrageous and unacceptable. They ripped me off by only taking what "the driver" wanted to take. There is hundreds if not thousands of dollars just in recycled metals if nothing else. I am so ashamed that I told the remaining family that I would take care of it all by donating to a good cause. They are rip off artists, scammers and using the words "ministry" out of place. Telling me to have a blessed day is not the way to represent an organization claiming to do "God's Work." They give Christians a bad name and recovering individuals as well. I would never hire anyone who came out of their program for any reason knowing that this is how they represent "God's Work". Please share and forward this review as you see fit. I know I will. They stole from my family, not only material goods but also "God's good name".
