They're all super nice in there. Nick's who did my tattoo. He's great, gentle, and entertaining. They're all super willing to work with your budget and free touch ups for life! I absolutely love em. Not to mention my tattoo looks great :D Also they're very sterile and professional. I asked a lot of questions about the process since I'm an artist and was curious, he was happy to answer all of them. Also, they make very sure you're comfortable. They're patient and are willing to take breaks, let you walk around and all that. I wouldn't recommend anywhere else. read more

It says on Facebook that he'll "bring your vision to life" and that's exactly what he did! I am vacationing in Anchorage and texted him last minute yesterday and he was able to squeeze me in today. I had a custom tattoo done and another one (over 25 years old) repaired. Both came out much better than I could have imagine and are absolutely fabulous! I'm an older woman and he was extremely kind and patient and made me very comfortable. He answered all my questions and he was able to explain the process and healing time in great detail. He made me feel like he really cared by making sure I understood everything. His artwork is incomparable, his shop totally clean and sanitary and his prices are extremely reasonable. You can't go wrong by stopping in to get a tat from Scotty. He is truly a skin artist, a beautiful person and provides a great atmosphere with terrific music (he even sings while tattooing which made it even more relaxing!). Way to go Aurora Tattoo!

His shop is decently clean and he seems to be using sanitary equipment. But be prepared for ALOT of artistic liberty in terms of your image. I guess i didnt communicate my idea clearly when i said i wanted smoke coming off block lettered font- connecting it to a chest piece. after two hours in the chair he asked me what i thought. In the mirror i saw only the font, and a two inch space between my chest piece and the new tattoo. "thats good, but wheres the smoke?" i asked. so he hastly made a shadow effect outside the lettering and called it quits (with and inch of blank space now instead of two). Why I went back after my initial tattoo wasn't right is beyond me: I went in wanting a touch up the piece he had done a year before. I drew out where I wanted black and grey ink, and he completely disregarded the grey tone. instead he covered everything in black. But its ok, its not like its for life...
