Great experience with Eagle Wing Tours. We went in late May and lucked out with nice weather. Partly cloudly to mostly sunny, breezy but not too cold. A puffer was sufficient on deck with a very sinched hat (next time I'd opt for a tight beanie to avoid being stressed about losing the hat). Nice boat, it wasn't overcrowded, and having an indoor cabin was a perk for those who wanted to take a break from the wind. Crew was friendly and knowledgeable. We saw orcas, sealions, and lots of birds. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience and I'd definitely recommend.

One of the BEST whale watching tours that I have been on, and I have been on many! We did the 6pm sunset cruise this evening, and it was 3.5 hours long... the crew were extremely professional & knowledgeable. The boat was in great shape & clean. We saw SO many orcas and a humpback, and they even took photos that they will be emailing us in a couple of weeks. Highly recommend!! 100/10

Absolutely LOVED our tour with Captain Sierra, Jo, Meaghan, and Crystelle!!! We saw sea lions, bald eagles, humpback whales, and ORCAS!! Not just small glimpse, but around 15 fantastic sightings. The beautiful orcas were in a group of around 7. You could tell the all-female crew truly enjoy and love what they do for a living. They were sooo knowledgable, professional, and personable. They had ginger chews to ease nausea of the sea-sick folk, and thick maritime jackets/gloves/beanies for those who needed extra warmth. One of the crew was taking professional photos that they're going to send to everyone which is so fantastic and special. They had a visual board after the tour with a recap. Cannot recommend this enough!!!!

We had very reasonable expectations when it came to a whale watching tour, but eagle wing blew it out of the water! We thought we would see maybe a tail here and there but got extremely lucky and saw over a dozen whales including Orca and Humpbacks! Also saw an otter and a bunch of sea lions! The thing that really stood out to us was their dedication to getting us the most sightings we could! The captain even decided to go over our allotted time because we kept coming up on new pods of whales as we returned to port! One of the coolest experiences of our vacation for sure. Can't speak highly enough of this operator.

My fiancé and I went on the sunset tour last night with Captain Jeremy, Sarah, Selena and Derek. It was more amazing than we could have imagined. We saw so many awesome animals, including a family of orcas. 3/4 times mama orca popped out of the water after a few catches. The entire crew was fantastic, kind, caring and so knowledgeable on where we were going and what we were seeing. Derek makes you engaged and excited before even getting on the boat with his upbeat personality. Sarah did a fantastic job giving us all the details and taking incredible pictures at the same time. Her and Selena were also hilarious. Captain Jeremy did awesome navigating and keeping us on track with where the orcas were and came out to talk to and see everyone once we were positioned in a good spot for viewing. Couldn't recommend this company more! Amazing job to all of them and thank you!

We did an open speedboat whale watching trip out of victoria and it was so awesome! Were able to see sea lions and a group of about 10 orcas off of the San Juan islands. Apparently this tour company is one of the few that has boats fast enough to get all the way out to the San Juan Islands, which is where there are some orcas that stay there year round. Carol, the woman who was telling us all about the orcas, was extremely knowledgeable, and the crew was very respectful about keeping their distance from the whales. They were very strict about staying 200m away from the orcas (which is apparently the rule), though some of the other whale watching groups seemed to get closer to them. Luckily Carol did take a bunch of pics with her fancy long range camera, and she said she emails them out after 1-2 weeks. No one got sea sick in our group, sea was reasonably calm. Apparently it's calm unless the wind picks up, and it wasn't terribly windy the day we went. They provide you with warm jackets/ski type pants which are key to stay warm on the long boat ride--it took about an hour to get out to the islands. Would def recommend this company!

We were surprised when we arrived at the boat, it was way smaller than we expected. When we booked the reservation I could've sworn the picture showed a much larger boat. With 11-12 passengers and 2 captains it felt extremely crammed. It was also rainy that day and not all of us could fit inside the tiny cabin with the captain, so about 4-5 people had to sit outside in the rain/wind. We did see 2 pods of orcas during the tour, and first group got really close to us and possibly swam under the boat which was really cool (we saw a female, calf, and large male orca up close). The second pod we saw from very far away and all we could really see were black dots (that I think were fins?) in the distance. We also saw porpoises and various types of sea birds. The captains were really knowledgeable and friendly, and we enjoyed the tour overall. However the fact that we had to sit uncomfortably shoulder-to-shoulder really detracted from the experience. I also feel they should give a warning about possible seasickness, as the waves could be rough the farther out you get.

They said the issues occurred the day before. I understood the need to cancel the tour, but the lack of an early notice prevented us from being able to rebook with other tour companies in time to go out that same day, which was our only day in Victoria. Big disappointment.
