We took this tour after it was recommended by someone who had said it was beautiful. We were…read moregreatly disappointed. There were NO flowers or plants on the upside down trees and there were plants in PLASTIC CONTAINERS placed around the gardens for filler. If this was due to the time of year or weather, the tour should have been cancelled and people should have been given a refund. There was no ivy draped heart in the gift shop area to use for a lovely photo backdrop as others have had. There was one upside down tree at the very end of the tour with flowers in it (and a large aluminum ladder under it) that we were told was for us for Mothers Day. Why didn't they put flowers in all the trees for us mothers? The guide who drove us to the top was interesting, but unfortunately I cannot recommend this tour.

Welcome to the Beauty and Wonderment of my Alaska. If you are planning a trip up here in the Summer…read moremonths, (which I would not come in Winter, it can be tough!), and you are staying in the General Area of Anchorage and or Seward, please make room on your agenda for a trip to this wonderment of mankind. The Glacier herself is receding, but the Parks area and camping facilities are placed in areas where all you can say is "Oh my God'. The scenery, the air, the "feeling" is something that is a once in a lifetime opportunity that should not be passed on. Please do not come if you are looking for "Showers", running water and 5 star hotels. There are Restroom facilities, conveniently located throughout the campsites, with Potable Water, but this experience is what camping/fishing is all about. Jenn and I and Jersey and Chopper stayed at Black Bear Campground, and for Motor homes there is the Williwaw Camp grounds. The campsites are clean, and deep rooted in the forest system. They are laid out by the Glacier rivers, which puts you no more than 50-75 yards away from the streams where you can watch the Salmon runs of all the Salmon breeds. You can't fish in that area, but fishing is just down the road. Have you ever woke up early in a beautiful sun drenched morning, and heard a running stream of water, and breath some of the cleanest air known to man, pour yourself a cup of campfire coffee, and just take in the beauty of the land. You will...I have attached the website, check it out... The Park is Located in Portage Valley, 50 miles South of Anchorage on Highway #1. IT IS NOT IN JUNEAU...YELP!!!!!! HELP ME HERE!!!
