That night we saw deer grazing out back and it snowed overnight. We woke up to a beautiful scene which included a few people ice skating on the frozen pond. We were in the Kipling suite which had a jet tub big enough for two people to swim is. It had a mini fridge, microwave, small coffee maker with coffee. A definite off the norm place to relax. The amenities in the were as described and what I had expected. The hosts provided room service coffee at the exact time that I had requested, upon them offering. Breakfast was served in the main floor dining area at the Agee's upon time. As with the coffee service, they asked what time I would like breakfast. I didn't expect the attention to the details in how breakfast was served. The smallest of details suggested care and thoughtfulness. The breakfast was excellent and beautifully presented. If I have a reason to stay in Newport in the future I look forward to staying here again.

We stayed in room #3 that had a very comfortable queen bed & great pillows. We got a solid 8 hours sleep both nights we were there. I enjoyed reading on the large front porch & we watched a couple of movies from their DVD library at night. The hosts are wonderful & their breakfasts were incredible. We enjoyed watching the local deer visiting every morning & evening. We look forward to staying here again!

The b&b sits on a couple acres and is very spacious - private outdoor seating, patio and there's even a bocci ball court in the backyard. Michael was gracious enough to let me beat him 3 games in a row! Nestled in the hillsides right next to Schweitzer mountain, the location is prime for all thinks happenings in Sandpoint. Gina and Michael gave some great suggestions on things to do around the town, in addition to tons of recommendations for food & bars. I went here once in March for a day and it was spectacular with great views…read more The area you're able to ski is massive and there is a lot of tree skiing options. I tried to hit up just about every hill throughout the day but missed a few Because the place is so massive. This is one of my favorite ski Mountains because of the tree skiing options and how many Black Diamonds are groomed (it's so fun bombing down the hill just on the edge of being out of control). I did wipe out on the second to last run losing a ski in the process and sliding down the mountain, but was able to recover the ski after a short hike up for about 40 yards). If I had to pick a ski place where I came closest to dying it would probably be here when I came flying around a sharp groomed corner onto a moguled hill, but was able to gain some control before I became one with some pine trees. About a month before I came here I read that a woman got nipped by a coyote when she was tree skiing and they had a sign warning about a coyote there at the top of one of the runs, so that was kind of funny. I stopped in for some chili at one of the small hole in the wall places they have at the base of the Eastern side of the mountain and that was a really cool place with good food.

There is also air conditioning upstairs which works very well at keeping everything comfortable. The cottage was very clean and really made us feel like home. There is a fully stocked kitchen, laundry machines, and wifi. You are just a few blocks from the beach, marina, etc, so everything is in walking distance, or biking (there are at least 10 available to use at the cottage), and lots of biking/walking trails as well. Plenty of room in the backyard to sit around the firepit which is provided, or barebeque on the charcoal pit. There are also multiple kayaks and canoe to use as well. We had a great time here, and I think you would to. Coming from California, this is one of the most beautiful places I've visited - and this vacation rental was really the icing on the cake.
