I ordered chicken alfredo and the alfredo was pretty dry and the chicken was quite dry as well. The flavor was very limited 6 out of 10.

Service: the waitress took a few minutes to even acknowledge us. She was nice, but she didn't ask how we were or anything like this. Food: I ordered 6 oz sirloin steak and chicken alfredo. The food was about 6 out of 10 and REALLY NOTHONG SPECIAL. The steak was not tender and chewy. The chicken from chicken alfredo was dry and the pasta was not seasoned properly and not creamy. Atmosphere: the atmosphere was hip, but not too classy where you'd had to wear slacks. Music is nice. Cleanliness: the place was clean and tables wiped. The bathroom had toilet paper and paper towels.

After a few visits here, things seems to be getting better with each visit. On my first visit I had the mushroom steak. It was meh and so was the service. The manager even came around to ask how everything was. When I told her how disappointed I was with the steak she did nothing other than to explain that the staff were being trained to better cook steaks "next week". Next week?! What about my steak tonight? Mojitos were on special that night so that was about the only thing that made up for the bad food. Though they don't muddle the mint enough in their mojitos. My second visit involved the Dominical Fish Tacos. They were a little better than average and much better than the steak on my first visit. Again, it was mojito night. Still no muddling. My visit last night was quite impressive. I tried the crispy chicken with avocado & tomatillo sauce. It was excellent. I couldn't believe that this dish had come out of an Earls. The skin on the chicken was perfectly crisp, the avocado sauce had great flavour, and the roasted veggies were done to perfection. My only complaint about the meal was the tortilla soup. It was good, but I've had much better. If things continue to improve then I might have to make my visits a little more regular.

Food is always tasty and fresh the times I have been. The tempura sushi roll is surprisingly very good for a non Japanese restaurant. My fav dish is the Cajun Chicken Sandwich always cooked to perfection. The staff here from host to server are very friendly.

I haven't been to this earls since they got their new patio glass covering but it's super cool and looks very modern. I have always like the insides of earls restaurants, it is very classy. I also tend to get pretty good service. The food I would consider average though. This specific time around I had there southwest veggie burger and it was a tad bland. It can be hard to get a vegetarian burger right, and they could still work on it a bit. Their garlic fries were good however.

Earls, is well, Earls. Yes its a chain but definitely much better than most. Always get great service here, and have my favorites such as the curry, blackened chicken with fettuccini and the hunan kung pao. They make a fantastic house caesar also!

A VERY special and LOUD shout out to hostess Phoebe for making my birthday EXTRA happy this past…read moreSaturday. Kind, well-spoken, gentle, efficient, always a smile on her face and she went above and beyond. I had a 12:15 pm reservation. Unfortunately a group was taking much longer than expected. I waited over 30+ mins to be seated and so yes, I could've made a scene, but that wouldn't be me. Phoebe could've just let things be ... you know? Because "it is what it is". But she didn't. Once she seated me and my friend, she offered to take photos for me and of me. SO thoughtful! She also brought me a beautiful ice cream with a sparkling candle in it. SO sweet! She smiled at me every time she walked by almost as a way to make sure I was doing OK and feeling good. She was WAY more attentive than our female server who looked, sounded and acted like she couldn't leave work soon enough. Wasn't going to let her dampen my birthday though... Food tasted good. Presentation was beautiful. The male server who took over was SUPERB. Genuinely happy to "close out" our transaction with him. He was super attentive and willing to make everything go well. Thank you, Phoebe and male server for making my birthday memorable. XO

You only have about 5 or 6 spaces since it seems like the rest of the spaces have a "no parking" sign in front of each space... wtf... The place was nicely decorated and quaint. Loved the vibe. We walked in at 8am, opening time, and there were two parties sitting already. We got seated and looked at the menu. Our waitress was very friendly and mentioned that the Queens Breakfast, and the Montreal Smoked Brisket were the popular dishes. I decided on the Omelette Al Tartufo and my wife decided on the Montreal Smoked Brisket with Poached Egg. The Omelette Al Tartufo was good. Had a good earthy taste of the truffle. They had truffle paste so a hint of real truffle was there. There was a bit of melted cheese in there but there was a good balance. My wife had the Montreal Smoked meat with poached egg, which was also good. Pastrami-like protein with a poached egg, presented in a croissant. Very good, but very filling. Eat this, and you won't be having lunch! All in all, good food, and good service.

I recently went there with a couple of friends, and I'm inclined to say that it could become one of my new favorite restaurants in Calgary. They have a seasonal menu, which makes the thought of coming back each time pretty exciting. When we went the first time, we tried the Korean fried chicken sandwich, the daily special - honey kimchi burger, and the halloumi sandwich. All were excellent! The desserts were also amazing, the panna cotta was frozen, which they explained, but I wasn't mad about it. At first, it felt a little strange to be eating inside a gym, but I actually liked seeing all the action. It was also really decent prices for the quality of food! I'm really looking forward to going back and trying their newest creations.

Have a look at my photos and you will understand. It's a small menu and it looks as though they specialize in the Benedicts. Therefore, I ordered the zucchini benny and it was delicious. The Egg was cooked perfectly and the flavours are there. The presentation is very nice. Also, while you eat you get to watch people climb. Like I mention before, it's a weird place to a cafe and because of this I don't think too many people know about this restaurant. They definitely need some type of sign because there is zero outside. They are only attracting the climbing patrons and they need to do a better job advertise to bring in other members of the public. I only heard about this place thanks to the YYC Facebook Foodie group. Otherwise I wouldn't have known about this place. There isn't too many breakfast cafes in this area so I think it would attract more customers if they advertise themselves more.

Oh, and they have Les Robarts by Suenen. I had to visit four wine stores in Champagne to get two bottles of that. Good luck finding that anywhere else.

We were greeted by a group of bartenders (who all happened to be wearing toques) when we walked in, and I felt both welcomed and slightly out of place (no toque). The cocktails were meticulously crafted--priced at $15-20 a drink, it's on par with bigger cities like Vancouver and Toronto, but they also live up to the standard. Honestly, the highlight of our visit to Missy's was the Missy's This That charcuterie board. Each piece of cured meat was sliced impossibly thin, the olives were meaty and delicious, and the cheeses were carefully selected to complement everything. I loved that it also came with a side of thick cut bread and pickled vegetables. One of the best charcuterie boards I've had at a restaurant for sure. Not cheap but worth the pretty penny on a slightly fancy night out.
