Mike Cento is a true craftsman. He took 2 pairs of shoes, resoled them, cleaned them up, polished…read morethem, etc., and now they are like new shoes. One of the pairs, my Footjoy Classics Spikeless, stopped being produced in 2009 so I wasn't sure how difficult of a project this might be for Mike. Turns out they look better than they did when they were new! More support, better constructed, and they look brand new. Mike took a pair of shoes that were literally falling apart and brought them back to life, even better than before. These Footjoys look better than anything Footjoy sells these days! Mike did such a great job that I dropped off another pair when I picked up my last 2 pair. And I have about 3 more pairs of shoes that are in need of being recrafted, Cento Shoes will be wear I am taking them. The price is right at Cento Shoes and they carry all the good and necessary shoe care products to keep your shoes in great shape and well nourished. Jennifer who works in the front of the house is just amazing and super kind. She got me taken care of in no time and while I was there picking up my shoes I got some new socks and shoe care accessories too. At drop-off I was given a thorough verbal assessment where Gino set clear expectations. At pick-up, he let me look at the shoes with him and talked me through a bit of what he'd done. It was my first time so a lady came out and showed me how to use the kiosk. It was straight forward. I had a stain on my scarf that I didn't think could take care of at home, and they removed it. It only took a day. Picking it up was the fun part. The machine brought it to the kiosk and the little door opened. It is pretty cool. Before they switched to the automated…read morenonsense, I told them that my husband's suit was very expensive and needed special care and it came back with every button damaged or broken. Beautiful buttons weren't even replaceable. Now they have gone to this automated system which may work fine, but I think contributes to the growing issues in society- less personable. My neighbor just had a blanket cleaned there and she was unhappy about the high cost- tho seems like prices are going up everywhere. I'd really love to find a dry cleaner that doesn't wreck everything.

I stopped by the following Saturday since I never received a phone call from anyone and yet my boots were not ready and it was just a heel revision, not like they were re-soling the whole boot... I was told that they concentrate on Sales versus Repairs.. That was a lame excuse for not having my boots ready. I was not satisfied with the job. The heel was trimmed down too far so now the point of my boot sticks up higher.. I don't recommend them at all.
