I haven't worn a tux since high school, so when I had to get one for a work black tie event, I was nervous about what to do. I had a vague idea that I wanted something a little non-traditional but besides that I had no clue what I was after. Anthony was quick to make a great recommendation for a navy blue tux with a great cut for a slimmer guy, shawl collar, and black silk and satten accents. He was also patient. I thought I wanted a vest and when it came in I didn't like it and went with a cumberbun. I thought I wanted a certain shirt and he got it for me, but it turns out it didn't work and he had a plan B ordered for me just in case that happened. Everything was far more affordable than I anticipated, also. Anyway, I looked great last night. I snapped a few photos that I've attached (it's hard to capture a navy blue suit with black accents in dim light!), and I had a flood of compliments from everyone. Anthony is the only guy I go to for suits and this is why. I was certainly not an easy customer for him and his team, as I was out of state and had to call in my measurements. I had a deadline of 5 days as I was only coming in for Saturday to fly out again on Sunday to a conference. Anthony used his progressional judgement and got the right fit for me and made alterations in 1 day, he even opened the store a little early so I could try it on and make the adjustments needed for the Sunday flight. Took 3 pairs of men's pants to get hemmed. I needed them soon, so I asked for a rush, which turned out to be 7 days. Fine, whatever, 7 days it is. It's been not even 2 months and the hems on all 3 pairs of pants have come undone. I paid approximately $15.00 per pant and I am extremely disappointed with the quality of work. Beware...DON'T go to this place for any suits or tailoring. Anthony stated "you're a size 40 right." I responded that I have no Idea as I have not been measured in awhile. So, as a result he sells me a size 40 jacket, and measures for the adjustments. I go to pick up the suit and try on the jacket. When I'm checking out the fit he comes in and says it fits nicely doesn't it before I really have the chance to observe it well in the mirror. As a response I say "sure looks good." So I go home and try on the suit for a closer observation, and I say to myself something doesn't look right, this looks a bit too big for me and doesn't conform to my body well. I later modeled the suit to my parents and they said it looks good. I asked them if they thought the jacket was too big, and they said no, so I took their word for it. A few days later I go shopping at the Fashion Mall for nothing particular and I go into Bachrach. I see a suit that I liked and the store manager observes me and immediately selects the correct size, a 38 regular. I try on the jacket and am immediately astonished by the conformity of the fit, and also highly regret having purchased a suit from A. Mina. I purchase the Bachrach suit and then go home and call Anthony telling him that a 38 is my correct size and that I would like him to make the jacket I purchased from him closer to a 38. He stated that it would be a lot of work and may be difficult to do so much to the jacket, but he could take it in some and alter the shoulders. Well my question is as an expert in measurements and alterations, why didn't he do that in the first place? So as a test I asked him how much it would be to alter my jacket again, and he says $25. Can you believe he has the audacity to charge me for alterations a second time since I'm obviously not a satisfied customer from his first job? Anthony is obviously a slick scam artist and is just out to get your money and not provide any real quality services and products to the customer, so my advice, AVOID him at all costs and find a really good tailor elsewhere. read more
