They claim I gave them permission to alter my direct deposit information on the non-profit I work for's payroll software. I didn't. An accidental push of a button caused havoc. I immediately recognized that I hit the button, reached out to remedy it. It didn't matter. Payroll came, and my money was in a mysterious place! It took me 3 hours of panic to find out...it was Earnin's data. The fact that they have this capability, should scare everyone. They literally intruded and invaded my personal data and altered it...then they proceeded to lie to me for hours telling me they can't do that. They can. They absolutely can. Finally, a manager, pretending to care, called me. I was asking for something extraordinary, but because of the trauma caused by what's tantamount to robbery, warranted it. I wanted the $1100 I withdrew back, so I could cut ties with this dishonest, dishonorable organization. Call it penance...call it pain and suffering...This happened in July 2026. It is Sept. 2, 2026, I still check my bank account because of their invasion of my private data. These rich, ivory towered assholes, refused to make it right. $1100 to a multi-billion-dollar organization wouldn't impact their bottom line at all. It wouldn't change the 100th decimal place in their ledger. But they refused to do the right thing. They are liars, awful people who pretend to care. All they cared about was keeping the needle in the heroin addict's arm. $1100...they acted like callous assholes. Use the Albert app. These are dishonorable people. read more

In the past they had helped me boost my advance amount as a one time courtesy however now they won't even connect me to a supervisor until I fight with them. They also give a ton of attitude in the chat when you push for assistance. When they finally do the supervisor cannot manually help anymore, and it takes forever to get a response. read more

Not like the ads at all - 0 stars If I could give this company 0 stars I would. Their customer service is the worst. I am having an issue with direct deposit to where I haven't received my paycheck. EarnIn promises two days early, I haven't even gotten it today, which is actual payday. When I messaged customer service on the app, I got ghosted. As of the time I am writing this, I have been waiting for 5 hours for a response. I also emailed both the complaint and care email addresses 4 hours ago and have not heard anything from them. Whenever I try to call the number I had to find on google, I either get hung up on by a robot or have to leave a voicemail. I want to close my account, but I cannot get ahold of anyone who works there to do so. All in all, for a company that is promoted on many channels and has an A+ rating on BBB, they should have better customer service. @EarnIn, if you see this, please close my account. read more

They hold paycheck and do not transfer to your bank account immediately as they say they do. Worst customer service I've ever experienced.

You can borrow money like they say. The longer you use it, the more you can borrow. Been using it for a long time and now they are taking the money back I've borrowed way before I get paid! You tell them when you get paid and they aren't supposed to repay themselves until you get paid, and they have access to your account so they can clearly see when your direct deposit hits. They did this to me so much to the point that my account went into overdraft and caused fees and the representatives just act oblivious to the situation. Also, they never reload your allowance to the full capacity and make you go through so much to get it back to what it should be. I'm allowed to borrow up to $1000 a month, but everytime it's time to renew it, it never gets done and stays at $300 or $200. And I have to chat with someone who acts like I'm lying even though it's in my contract!!!!! If they don't refund me for the overdraft fees I'll be taking legal actions. read more

If I could give a lower review i would. I signed up with their app and nothing was noted anywhere that disability was not accepted. Which I only found out when I did a chat with the support team. At first they kept asking me for a work email. Well disability doesn't have one and there are alot of people out there that use things like this that do not have one also. So now even though I closed out the account I made I still truly do not know if they still have all the information I had already put in while setting up the account. Used them for 2-3 years. Occasional issue every 3-6 months. Their system is inadequate to adjust for people's pay periods and holidays. Sooner or later they will botch the direct deposit dates and will debit you before u get paid. Be careful. USE THEM AS A LAST RESORT. Theres a handful of other apps that you can use that won't mess with you like how they do. Customer service is from across the world and doesn't understand how USA works. Don't ever use this app unless you want to be slapped with fees and for their customer service "specialists" to just laugh at you and say they can't do anything to fix it. I HATE this app! literally every other pay period they change my draft date and I have to constantly fight with them over cvhanging it back. It's ridiculous. I'm actively dealing with them now as they changed my pay period again to 3 days earlier then what it should and the customer service is refusing to change it back. I told them what my original date was and they keep insisting on a weekly path when I've been on a bi monthly pay this whole time. They literally tried to get me to agree to an alternate change. I threatened this review and suddenly they got my dates right out of nowhere. only for me to log back in and find out they only adjusted my draft date by one day. read more

For the second time back to back the app requested the borrowed money on a Saturday days before my payday causing my account to be negative and stay in a limbo processing mode. Customer service is absolutely no help and has given me the same copy and paste excuses. I said if it happened again I will be deleting the app and contacting the Better Business Bureau. TWICE they debited my account before payday and did nothing to rectify the situation aside lie & say that it won't happen again. Nothing to cover the overdraft fees caused by them. They said I need to wait until I get paid and send them a screenshot of my bank account, not to fix their mistake but to prove when I get paid. I've been a customer for 2 years. This is a good product when it works. I have been waiting 2 days to have my bank connection updated. The earnin application says my bank is connected and it says it has been updated and nothing is wrong. But the balance is incorrect and has been for 2 days and all I am told is to just keep trying to change my bank name in the system. It's very frustrating. They will watch and pry into your bank account and based off of your sensitive personal information, they will change your cash out amounts! Their Chat Support, Sarah A., is pushy and impatient. She will ask you a question and then close your chat before you can respond, as you are responding. I know because just like iMessage, there are 3 dots that pop up to let you know the other person is typing. If you don't mind sharing your banking transactions, etc with strangers then continue to use this app. The platform is insecure as far as a potential security breach and next thing you know you have to fight to prove and protect your identity. Over drafted my account by going in too early to get paid. Some Banks don't pay out early. This needs to be addressed!

Earnin recently took a very large tip from my debit that I did not authorize. Rather than fix the issue right away they told me 'too bad'. Then after pleading with multiple employees on the chatroom, I was told I have to wait to hear back from them via email in 24 hrs. Still not resolved. Done with them !! I would suggest steering clear of them. I believe they have a class action lawsuit pending due to unscrupulous practices. read more

If you're work from home and you don't use an actual timesheet program you will not be able to use Earnin. There is a request to submit your work email, however most major companies block outside emails. My employer does not release an actual digital time sheet for security purposes. Without this they are unable to move forward. Even with a paystub showing hours worked doesn't help. They have to see you reporting to a work address and using a timesheet program. Most people are now permanently work from home, this maybe an issue for those of us in this situation. Earnin works for people who aren't work from home. Hopefully they can make some modifications. If you're in a work from home situation save yourself the time and effort and check out other options. Be safe. read more

my account was overdrafted unknowingly and without my consent my cashout date was false and when i sent them my paystubs confirming my paydate i cashed out and went to buy my son diapers but my card was declined because earnin did not have my correct paydate so they overdrafted my account and when i cashed out they used my cashout to pay the $100 they overdrafted with a false paydate i was very embarrassed in checkout it was horrible i had to call my lawyer to try to sort this out after explaining this to earnin support 2 days in a row smh they still havent given me my cashout read more

I never in my life thought that an app like this is so horrible. Me and my family live pay check to paycheck . I finally got back on my feet got a new job and didn't need earnin anymore. The day of my daughter's birthday i wanted to get her everything I wanted.. sadly I couldn't the money in my account was put on hold and I could not use it my little girl was heart broken I seen it on her face ..
