Really great store! Lots of organic vegan options and surprisingly huge selection of unique local things. It reminds me of a small Whole Foods. I really liked that they carry van leuween vegan ice cream which can be really difficult to find. read more

I LOVE Earth Fare! Since my Michigan location permanently closed, I have been at a loss as to where to buy quality, affordable, healthy food--especially grass-fed meats and makeup. I finally decided to see where the next closest location was? Turns out this Canton, OH location is not that far away! I called ahead, and everyone I spoke with (mainly in the Meat Dept) was so kind, willing, and helpful! I placed a significant order, and they had it all packaged and already frozen for me for easier travel back home. Although not as convenient for me, it is surely my next-best option for quality grocery shopping! I wandered throughout the entire Store, and everything and everyone I encountered were so friendly! Unfortunately, going to Earth Fare has been more of a necessity than a desire. In time that will change as grocers stock more and more quality, healthy, wild, organic, and other appropriately sourced products. One employee told me they aren't supposed to double bag any longer unless a customer asks - because the bags cost too much. Today I barely made it home with a full bag that had two large Kombucha bottles at the bottom. Ik Ik, I should have had my own reusable bag...Still.. Besides some very friendly cashiers, Here's the summary of what I commonly find at Earth Fare: 1) Low quantities of items! 2) Out of stock items/shelves! (very common) 3) Organic Girl Salads that don't last close to expiration dates 4) Hard to find employee help - except in the supplement aisle 5) Long cashier lines w/few open registers 6) Higher prices Whole Foods gets the service component. They are hands down the best at stocking products and helping in the store. I'd trade a Whole Foods and Trader Joe's for Earth Fare any day. read more

Within the past year I have developed multiple food allergies. I'm still in the process of figuring out all my favorite alternatives to foods I used to enjoy. I tried to look on the website before calling but it had no information. I called customer service to ask if the bakery made gluten free bread. It took them 3 times to transfer the call and it still was to the "prepared food line". I stated to the 3rd woman I was trying to reach the bakery and had already spoke to others. She had a tantrum on the phone. Said "just hold on I'll just walk over there myself!" in a horribly rude tone. I just called over some bread, it's not that deep. This is the place to shop in Canton for organic produce. Nice selection most of the time. The juice bar is my favorite. Try the Kale lemonade or the red sunset. Juices are a dollar off from 2-5. We recently bought a $19 bottle of wine from Earth fare Canton. When we opened it that evening we found that it was corked and had a musty wet dog smell. Brought the bottle back to the store with receipt and the manager refused an exchange or give store credit for the defective bottle. It is unacceptable that the store will not stand behind a defective product that they sell. read more

I was initially thrilled with the selection of healthy and organic produce, meats, seafood, and prepared foods offered at Earth Fare. Even though it is more expensive than other stores in the area, I have been shopping there on a consistent basis since it opened based on the selection and "quality" of food. I'm not sure what is going on lately. First of all, they send emails with promotions that are not being offered in the store, although they will occasionally honor an email ad if you can pull it up on your phone and show it to the cashier. I can live with this, but the quality of food seems to be declining rapidly... Last week, I was in a rush (so I didn't check dates) and ended up purchasing a $7 gallon of organic milk that was expired/sour and $5 organic eggs that expired within two days of purchase. Last night my husband purchased brie, baguette, and wild coho salmon for dinner. The baguette was stale and the brie was not fresh. I thought the salmon smelled very fishy raw (which is sometimes the case with salmon), but it was absolutely noxious and inedible after cooking to the point we both spit out our first bites! Earth Fare needs to get its act together or it won't be in business much longer in my opinion. read more

Garbage dessert once again. Twice I have purchased cornbread muffins... undercooked and gooey inside. Purchased cupcakes that were stale. Tonight purchased apple pie that is disgusting... raw hard apples... disgusting uncooked bottom of the pie... horrible flavor... done with earthfare... This store is brand new to the area. Prices are a bit high compared to the local supermarkets. Some higher end groceries but not as much selection as larger markets. Nice fresh produce. Meats and fish generally look good. Sale prices can be great! Watch for them. Custom cut rib eye was only $5.99/lb. recently. Good for some specialty items. Just be careful on the prices. read more

Love the proximity to the hotels. The ready made food is excellent. Favorite s are the chicken empanadas and chicken soup. Great beer choices including Ohio breweries. When I have a kitchenette in hotel, this is a convenient place to get fresh vegetables and lean proteins. read more

This place has won out over Raisin Rack for me for one singular reason: Their hours are more convenient. Earth Fare stays open until 10pm, 7 days/week, whereas Raisin Rack's hours are more restrictive (they close at 8pm during the week and even earlier on weekends). That said, my wife and I have encountered some quality issues here that we never did at Raisin Rack - namely, multiple instances of buying spoiled produce (where it isn't easily visible just by looking, such as with bags of cherries, grapes, bunches of asparagus, etc) that have had to be returned the next day for a refund. Granted, organic produce does tend to spoil more quickly than conventional, but this problem has been much worse at Earth Fare than at Raisin Rack or Mustard Seed up in Akron. We also have bought bulk nuts and "fresh ground" almond butter that have turned out to be rancid (made clear by the smell once we've come home and opened up the packages). These issues aren't enough to make me stop shopping there, because their selection is good for our needs and the location/hours are convenient, but I'm definitely very vigilant about checking for spoilage. read more

The only reason I am giving this place three stars is because you can find some high-quality items for a decent price if you pay attention to the sales. I have been to the Fairlawn location, so I am familiar with Earth Fare. This was my first time in the Canton store. What soured my experience was the employees. While a couple were pleasant and helpful, the majority were quite miserable, to the point of being extremely rude and unprofessional in one particular instance. Apparently the concept of customer service is not valued at this location. It's a shame, too, because this type of grocery store is much-needed for the area. But I want my shopping experience to be a pleasant one, and this certainly was NOT. read more

I'm becoming more and more disappointed with the service at this store. I requested thin cut pork chops from the meat department and was told "We can't do that." Most of the attitudes of the employees are positive but some act as though they could care less. At times the advertised sale price is not reflected at the checkout. You shouldn't have to watch as the items are scanned and then stop the cashier to make a correction. More often than not the employees don't have a clue about sale items. We have had to go back into the store and request a correction after reviewing the sales receipt. read more

Until 3 months ago I would have given this store 5 stars, however; in the past three months the early morning weekend staff all seem to be sullen and surly. Mind you we never ask for additional assistance nor do we need it. We are no longer greated with smiling faces in any part of the store. Managers and employees walk around with permanent frowns upon their faces. Forget about the coffee and smoothie bar, no one is permanently working at the station if someone is there they are a trainy and are confused, slow, enept. Yesterday the girl walked away as I arrived and stood at the deli counter having a conversation with her back turned to me. When she was finally alerted by a passing deli worker she asked for my smiling order with a frown, she let half of my expresso pour into the drip pan, did not attempt to replace the missing shot, which I paid for and slammed my drink down on the counter spitting cappuccino all over the counter. At which point she offered me a dirty bar rag to wipe my cup. Mind you I never received a smile during the whole process. I don't know about you but, I would like a smile in return for my smile and friendliness when I am forking out hard earned cash for my organic produce. Earth Fare please go back to your original friendly staff hiring practices. I would hate to drive all the way to Cleveland to purchase my produce at Whole Foods. I am obsessed. The prices on meat don't seem any higher than the regular grocery stores plus the sushi is amazing. On Wednesday, they have $5 rolls! They also sell bee pollen which has been doing wonders for me. I have not had a bad thing here. read more
