I'm in town for work and met with some local friends for dinner. They had gotten us reservations at The Bistro. We started with the House Made Pierogies and the Originale Pizza. For dinner, I had the Grilled Tomahawk Pork Chop with Creamy Polenta, Sautéed Brussel Sprouts and Caramel Apple Pancetta Sauce. My friends had the Swordfish and 12oz Strip Steak. For dessert we shared the Tiramisu and the Strawberry Shortcake. The service and food were excellent. After dinner we went to The Stillhouse for live music and drinks. I tried the Smoked Envy. Absolutely beautiful. We love coming here and sitting in the Adirondack chairs, overlooking the water with the willow trees. The live music is an added touch. You can order food and drinks to enjoy. We always love coming here and dining at the Piazza outdoor restaurant. It's absolutely beautiful with views of weeping willows and pond. We enjoyed a delicious lunch of the lobster rolls with loaded potato salad (definitely shareable) pictured and the Shrimp Bowl with rice and veggies (not pictured). Please add valet service for busy nights and make a clear path to the entrance for elderly / handicapped people! we came last night for dinner June 27th to the Bistro. The food is good however they don't have a very good set up for elderly customers (at least specifically at their Bistro restaurant) unless they do and just couldn't be bothered to share. I brought my almost 80 year old parents there who decided to use the stairs bc they didn't want to go on the ramp because it's so long. The stair case leading to bistro entrance which is shorter so that's why my parents chose that as opposed to the ramp but there is no good drop off or pick up area near bottom of the stairs (or at the bottom of the ramp as far as I could tell) and parked cars are blocking the bottom of the stairs. Handicap spots were right in front but they were all full and that's fine just need a more handicap friendly set up and valet service would help. Also came across 2 employees of the resort who were right out front of the Bistro and monitoring the parking situation, I specifically heard them talking about how many spots the closest parking lots had -- and I would say they didn't give off a "I see you're struggling, let me be helpful about where you could drop off or how can I can you" vibe at all!! We specific talked to one asking if we could have a handicap spot bc it was reserved / blocked off with cones and he was basically like sorry no and nothing else like "oh you could try dropping off at X" I saw a bunch of their elderly people struggling too. idk it was just a stressful start and end to a very expensive dinner which would have felt special if that hadn't happened. read more

The food was pretty basic, I think that really could've taken things up a notch if they focused more on their menu. Everything felt like it was designed to be easy, which I am totally okay with! Visited here for a pre-anniversary celebration this December. The vineyard offers a nice variety of dining options, a spa, store, and rooms to boot. This is a great place for a quick getaway, some R&R, and of course a tasting. Northern Ohio has its limitations in terms of palatable wines, and like many wineries in this part of the country, you will likely find the sweet stuff to be superior to the rich, bold cabernets and deep reds you might be drawn to in other parts of the world. The room we stayed in was a Two-Level Luxury King Suite at the Villas. It was by no means cheap, but it was spacious and beautiful. We also got a complimentary breakfast and free non-alcoholic drinks including water, juice, and soda. If we needed cleaning or a refresh on towels we only needed to ask and they came by promptly. Would love to visit in the summer for a comparison and to make use of some of the outdoor amenities. It seems that they have a lovely patio by the Bistro and some outdoor games that we couldn't fully utilize in the winter. It's hard to imagine since the Vineyard was so cozy this winter. read more

Amazing experience during our last visit to Canton OH. We went there three times....twice or coffee and once for the Wednesday night music event. Coming from CA, it felt so much like the wineries out here and possibly even better. The food was very tasty and especially like the morning coffee area as it feels so much like a spa environment. We were there in November for mother daughter birthday trip and it was all decorated for the holidays! The rooms in the boutique hotel were divine! Each had a fireplace! Decor was amazing. Room exits onto a patio! I promise you won't want to leave. And don't forget the gift shop for a very fun experience with lots of goodies to bring home with you! We can't wait to go back. Note that this review is strictly for the Crush House restaurant. Gervasi is a large campus that has a boutique hotel, spa, distillery, retail space, and a few restaurants. Husband and I sat at the bar in Crush House for a drink and bite to eat. Alyssa at the bar was a great server. I enjoyed the Abbraccio wine which is a fuller red. For my meal I had the short rib gnocchi which was perfectly tender and hearty on a cold afternoon. My husband had the chicken piada sandwich which was served on a grilled pita. The restaurant was pretty full, even in the middle of the day which shows how popular it is. I'd love to come back in warmer months for a tour and to sample some more wines. read more

Went to The Crush house today after the wine tasting and tour at the cave. Waited 20 minutes for two drinks. Waitress came by twice and said drinks were coming. Sadly they never came and so we departed. The two bartenders seemed only concerned about serving those at the bar and not those at a table. Waitress was kind and apologized twice. Not so sure this place is well run even with all the money put into it. read more

We were only there for a day trip but we had the chance to taste a wine flight, eat dinner, enjoy an evening cocktail and listen to some live music. The service was very good. I recently moved to SF but anytime I'm back in my hometown, I make sure to visit Gervasi. Growing up, Gervasi was known as the pinnacle upscale restaurant in town, offering more than just a place to eat. Dining at Gervasi was more like an experience, with a beautiful landscape surrounding the bistro and many other surprises to explore when setting foot on their grounds. Gervasi also serves as a vineyard and opened a sister property called Twisted Olive about 20ish minutes away. And there's also a restaurant called Crush House right behind Gervasi! I feel like Gervasi is special because it offers many options. It almost seems like it's own peaceful nook, a private estate, when you drive onto the property. Each time I've dined at a property owned by Gervasi, the service has been spectacular. I literally cannot remember a time when I've had less than excellent customer service. Their waiters are extremely attentive and enjoyable to make conversation with. And for the food... don't even get me started!! When you dine at Gervasi, it's evident how much time, energy, and thought went into the creation of each dish. I love hearing all of the details the waiters memorize when asking about a dish and it truly feels like a specialized experience. From the appetizers to the main dishes, Gervasi food in my opinion is in the same league as many restaurants I've had abroad and in larger cities! On September 5 2025 around 4:30 pm I took my wife to dinner at Gervasi Vineyard. The atmosphere and views are excellent, the food in the main restaurant was just okay. What upset me was the muscle I had for $18.00 Appetizer. They were the size of a dime, thickness and diameter when you got the shell open. I showed them to my waiter and his reply was that they have no control over the product and then laugh. It really upset us. I would have thought the chef would have not let those muscles out to a table and the waiter should have brought it to the chefs attention. It is sad how restaurants have quit caring about their customers. I guess I won't be going back too soon and letting people know my experience. read more

Finally tried Gervasi today with my family. We had lunch at the Bistro, which was such a beautiful rustic restaurant with Italian fare. We were seated right by the window overlooking the lake. Definitely one of the prettiest restaurants in NE Ohio. Mushroom Ravioli: 8/10. Simple but delicious dish; sad there weren't real truffles on this but the flavor from the truffle oil still came through well. Shrimp Spiedini: 7/10. The shrimp wrapped in rosemary ham was tender. The risotto was too tart IMO; the lemon flavor overpowered everything else. Tuscan Beef Short Rib: 8/10. This is one of their most popular dishes. The short rib was flavorful and well-cooked, though not as tender as our waiter hyped it up to be. Pistachio Cream Cake: 8/10. Not excessively sweet, which I appreciated. Loved the tangy raspberries and raspberry jam that cut through the sweetness of the icing, as well as the bits of pistachio that added some crunch to the dessert. I was pretty impressed by our experience today. Prices are high but not unreasonable considering the high quality food, attentive service, and aesthetic environment. My cousin and aunt took me here again after about 6 years and last time there wasn't much in the way of vegan options. I tried their Italian Sausage Bowl with the vegan sausage substitute. (They use Beyond Sausages, which are my favorite.) My expectations were low because a lot of places just have sad, flavorless vegan options when it's not their focus. The caramelized onions and tiny peppers (sweet peppadews?) were both great additions to this bowl. So this and the Cabernet that I had were both great! We went to the Yankee Peddler Festival Sunday to ring in the Autumn Season and stopped at Gervasi's; the outdoor landscape was beautiful and well-maintained, and the band sounded great. My frozen drink was also tasty, and their wines and one dessert were tasty: the Raspberry Chocolate Frozen Ice-cream Cake is always a hit. We ordered the lemon ricotta dip with pita chips, which was tasty and salty. It could use more refreshing cucumbers and oil. It's served to four people, possibly six. However, their charcuterie is horrible, it contains hunks of rolled meat and cheese, five salty dry crackers, salty olives, salty hunks of cheeses, dry pickled relish, no bread, no jams, no nuts, no figs, no mustard. I asked for bread, but they did not have bread and would not give me a roll. They can make pizza, but they can not make breadsticks. Come on, they have rolls. They can't offer their client's a roll. No mustard. What was the relish for? What were we going to place the relish on? The salad was also dry. I don't know. I thought about the lobster roll, but the menu said it had Brussels sprout coleslaw. Well, the patio lacks food choices. You could order a pile of pork. I noticed it came to the tables as piles of pork without mustards, relish, or even horseradish! Covid is over; step it up. There is no excuse for these bottom basement servings to people. I am shocked, especially in an area settled by many Europeans, Slavic, and German people; they know what to eat with meats and cheeses. I may have written the same thing last year. The place has downgraded its patio. The presentation was pleasing, but the quality of the food selections was negligible. "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me!" Guess what? It's quite a shame. It is a beautiful place, but it lacks a few simple items to make it of quality, like the finer wineries on the East Side of Cleveland by the lake. This is why these wineries are called Ohio's Best and most beautiful! No excuses, it's outdoors. People do not like to choke on dry salty food. They go to enjoy the outdoors and views. read more

I fully understand that what I'm about to write will make me sound like a complete food snob, but Gervasi (The Bistro) is what people think fine dining is who have never experienced real fine dining. The first time I went to Gervasi was with work friends. We sat on the patio and ordered pizza and sangria. It was good, so I made reservations for The Bistro a few months later. What a disappointment. The food was overpriced and mediocre. We didn't return for several years. A couple of years ago, however, I was invited to a private event at The Crush House, and while the food wasn't innovative, it was good. With that in mind, my husband and I went back tonight thinking maybe the food had improved since we were last there together, but we were disappointed once again. Although I'm sure the establishment would categorize its fare as "classic," I consider it to be unimaginative. (I included specifics with the photos.) The service was mediocre, and the ambiance is, well, just overdone with far too much tromp l'oeil and competing motifs. Checked out this beautiful winery with my brother in law and his wife while in PA. After spending the day here It would be great to spend at least one night here so you can take advantage and experience all that the winery has to offer. Since we were here early at 11:30 and because the tasting room (The Cave) did not open until 2:30 after walking the grounds we had lunch at The Crush House. We sat upstairs on the deck and it was delightful ! We enjoyed a cocktail and good food. The beef kabobs and loaded pita chips were delicious!!!! We would have loved to try The Bistro but it did not open until 4:00. It is best to schedule your day based on what you want to do since the opening hours vary. read more

My family attended a wedding ceremony at this location yesterday. In attendance were 6 rambunctious children (one being mine) Rob was our main server. The food was ridiculously delicious and we all ended up leaving with a box of leftovers. Charcuterie featured excellent cheese and fruit and meat options. Then the salad. Crisp fresh and delicious, perfect combination of veggie greens and cheese, not drowned in dressing. Short ribs and salmon next both cooked to perfection. Tender and juicy. Pasta was a delicious rib sticker that we opted to take home as we needed room for the dessert course! The brownies were divine! The wine was delicious and served perfectly. All of the food was 10/10. but I didn't interrupt my breakfast to write this review about the food. What I'm really here for is the service we received from Rob. Dealing with trading out beautiful glass water cups for plastic ones with lids, serving pizza and fries with the same gusto and elegance as the salmon. Exhibiting patience with the band silly's playing loudly under the table. He had the patience of a saint. And made the parents of all of the children feel so comfortable, not judged. Just came back from a late lunch/early dinner reservation at the Bistro at Gervasi and felt compelled to write this review while the experience was still fresh. We made last minute reservations a few days before tonight. All dinner reservations were already taken so it was either going around 3 PM or 9 PM on a Saturday. It was crazy packed after finishing dinner, when we left around 6 PM; I'd recommend going off of peak hours. (Their other place, the Crop, is walk ins only if you want to try that.) Reservations are highly recommended if not a given. We were running late, a few minutes past their 15 minute grace period, so we made sure to call to let them know. There is a lot of construction on 77 south, which threw us off on timing a bit. We started with a wine flight of 3 tastings. They had 3 wines from the GV estate itself (one was all out), but had a variety of other wines. I really appreciated their flavor notes that they had on the wine menu, since I'm still expanding my wine palette, and am not yet familiar with many types of wines. Our waitress helped us pick based on our preference choices and food pairings. The food was incredible!! We shared a charcuterie board and the in house foccacia bread with homemade ricotta that had a honey drizzle. I honestly would have been content with just that and the wine. We finished the wine flights as our food orders came to the table. I was already starting to feel full, so we opted to share a glass of the zinfandel (as was recommended based on our food choices). We shared the mushroom ravioli (added meatballs) and the blue cheese and roasted pear pizza. The truffle oil from the ravioli hits you when they put the plate down, almost as a subtle way of preparing you for the oh-so delicious, creamy goodness you're about to enjoy. They use a sherry reduction which gave the dish a perfect hint of sweetness that I loved. (I honestly didn't need to get the meatballs for the dish!) The blistered cherry tomatoes add a nice acidic, freshness to the cream sauce. We really loved the pizza paired with everything too. It had more blue cheese on it than expected (not just crumbles), mixed with the garlic cream sauce. I would have liked to get a little more of the roasted pear slices, but I'm that *weird* one who isn't offended by *gasp* pineapple as a pizza topping. We were in the area to celebrate my belated birthday and 1 year anniversary of having defended my PhD. They brought us a scoop of vanilla gelato, topped with whipped cream and a white chocolate-dipped maraschino cherry. A perfect way to end the meal! We've spent more money on dinner at other places that were quite disappointing; we loved everything we ordered at The Bistro tonight. Gervasi, thank you for taking care of us as we celebrated all the things we missed during the pandemic. This was the first time I felt like we had a "normal" date night and that is so incredibly special to me. read more

Amazing location, drinks and ingredients.Our driver was great, but some staff seemed preoccupied in chit chat, but we were also there when it just opened. Been here before and LOVED the food. The food this time was ok, not great. The atmosphere of the place makes up for some menu issues, but ours were on each dish. The Italian Chicken Napoleon was the best, but a little dry and risotto was sticky. The mushroom ravioli sauce was not emulsified, so it was it was sitting in oil. Scallops cooked amazing.
