I stopped in because they were obviously having a sale with merchandise out on the sidewalk. Went on in & wasn't too impressed. Although they had signs up with name brand merchandise, the signs did not indicate where you could find it. Of course I was there while every parent & child were searching for school shoes. When I need shoes I try to do it without my daughter... but most the time she ends up with a pair too. One my dogs ate my brand new shoes! Devastated, I went back to buy a new pair, and they were out of my size. I was crushed. Seeing my disappointment the manager called around and found me a pair from one of their other stores. My daughter and I bought a pair of shoes for her boyfriend for Christmas. Luckily she decided to give them to him early. Long story short they were not the right shoes so we had to make a return. My daughter took them and the receipt to the store but was unable to return them because they require the exact credit card that you purchased them with, to be present to return the shoes, even though we had a receipt. So a second trip was required by me to return the shoes with my credit card present. Ridiculous! Thanks for wasting my time and gas money. We will think twice before purchasing gifts here unless we have the human foot with us next time or not return at all.

Francesca's Collections is a much needed alternative to the subdued, preppie wear that dominates the Town Center. When you walk through the doors, you're greeted with an array of hip jewelry of better quality than you'll find in most moderately priced department stores. I bought a pair of cute bangle earrings for $15 and they actually look like they'll last me awhile. In the center of the store you find kitschy gifts, books, accessories and home decor, like vintage-inspired wall-hangings. The coolest gift item I discovered was the Personal Library Kit, a great present for your favorite bibliophile. The kit is designed to track books as they are lent out to friends and family--what a great idea! Near the back of the store is the women's clothing section. Francesca's Collections clothes' cost, quality, and style are reminiscent of H&M--bright, youthful, and fashion-forward. You won't find subtle pastels here. Just primary colors, bold prints, and unique designs, all reasonable priced (they spring mini-dress I tried on was $62). I know his size so I went to DXL and was able to purchase him a small wardrobe update for his Father's funeral. The store was clean and neat, surprisingly, there were 2 associates on staff. Usually at these stores you never see more than one person, so 2 was a nice change of pace. I asked for assistance, and was helped by a friendly male associate. He helped me get a Polo, a pair of jeans, a pair of dress pants, a belt, a tie and a sweater, in no time. I was in and out within a half hour.
