I was feeling a wave of emotions prior to coming into my appointment with Alix. I was greeted with a warm welcome and sat in the tea room prior to our session. I just had my first reiki session and am still feeling relaxed a day later! Alix made the entire experience very easy and enjoyable and even offered some takeaway advice for things I can do on my own to try and maintain calm and balance, which is very much appreciated! Alix was punctual and communicative. We chatted a bit before the session about what physical pains were bothering me. The set up was wonderful as I was asked to lay on my back, listen to a song she sent me, use a breathing exercise in the beginning, and have water by me side. This was my first remote reiki / pranic healing session so I wasn't sure what to expect but my experience was powerful to say the least. I eased in with the breathing exercise and once in state allowed my breathing to return to its natural rhythm. The immediate image that popped into my mind was myself and a friend running in a field at age 13. There was a bit of a shell around me as a youth as I was often yelled at and am sensitive to energies. My friend ran with me, assured me that I was safe and would no longer be yelled at... I felt a huge release and my energy expanded immediately while tingles ran over my body. I kept repeating to myself, "I am safe and secure," as the energy continued to move through my body. Next, I noticed different areas of my body where pain was coming up to be released. My right foot, right shoulder, and left elbow had significant pain removed. It would come up with a bit of a painful and activated feeling and become more and more numb until it was released. At this point, I was fully in trance so I don't have full recollection but I do remember memories from all stages of life being released and letting them go. After these subsequent releases, I dropped even deeper into trance. My spatial awareness completely went away. I couldn't tell how big my body or the room was... at times I felt I was way bigger than the limits of my body. I felt wings on my back opening up. I heard words of encouragement. I saw spirals of gratitude. My energy was expanding tenfold. In this expansion, I felt a swirl and a churning of powerful forces healing, cleansing, and recharging my mental, physical, and spiritual space. I rested in this energy until the end of the session. Alix is a very talented healer with a deep understanding, vision, and awareness of what to do and how to best serve her clients. She spoke in words that were easy to understand with a wisdom that is heard and felt in the vibration of her voice. Seeing Alix is a gift that should not be taken lightly. Alix is a very welcoming and positive person! I am brand new to reiki, and to meditation and mindfulness in general.
