Especially as a first timer to the studio. Rebecca was a great instructor and gave great suggestions throughout the class on different things you could try during each stage if you wanted to kick it up a notch or keep things simple. I have tried everything from functional medicine treatment to acupuncture and traditional therapy. While all of these things helped temporarily, I have never been able to find something that allowed me to find sustainable healing. As a result, I turned to this somatic practice in order to explore any underlying emotional or trauma issues that may be causing an imbalance in my body and preventing me from truly healing. I have worked with Jessy numerous times, and every session we have together is extremely supportive and enlightening; this was no exception. Through guided meditation, we uncovered emotional trauma that I thought had been resolved and brought it to the surface so that it could be released. After the session, we also started to incorporate flower essences into my daily routine to further support me on my healing journey. This is an ongoing healing journey for me, but even after one session, I felt physically and emotionally lighter, and was able to tap into my body's wisdom for self-healing; my physical symptoms also lessened. It is so difficult to explain exactly how this program works, because it is different for everyone. Jessy is incredibly intuitive and has such a gift for tapping into what each individual needs to support them on their own journey. Know that because of the smaller sizes, if you sign up for classes individually like I do, each class is at the premium price because of setting. $3 more than a regular mat class, not awful really.

~ FLOATING SHAVASANA WAS ABSOLUTELY MAGICAL ~…read more I've always wanted to try aerial yoga, and I'm so glad that my first experience was at the Aerial Studio. I booked the Intro to AIReal Yoga class through ClassPass, with Kristen O' Briant as the instructor. You can either bring your own mat or use one provided by the studio. They offer both aerial and AIReal Yoga classes that use hammocks in the practice. Our class took place in the back of the room, where a beautiful array of hammocks was set up. Kristen was an amazing instructor--she took special care of beginners, ensured we were making safe moves, and offered modifications when needed, all while providing encouragement and still challenging us. As an avid yogi, these hammocks really helped deepen my asanas, and I enjoyed this fresh approach. The highlight for me was the floating shavasana. Normally, I struggle to fully relax during the final shavasana in traditional yoga classes, but this experience was magical. Swaying gently and being cocooned in the hammocks - like a butterfly before it transforms or a baby in a womb - made it the most relaxed I've ever been during shavasana. A couple notes for the studio: during the first half of the class, there was also a children's class happening at the same time. It wasn't too disruptive but did occasionally make it hard to focus and be present. Also, dimming the lights during the final shavasana would enhance the atmosphere as well as show off the beautiful twinkle lights strung above the rafters. I highly recommend this experience and am looking forward to my next class! *HOT TIP: This was my first visit to Pacific View Mall, and I had trouble finding the studio. The studio is located inside the mall and between Old Navy and American Eagle.

Sue and Claudia are so lovely!!!…read more Yesterday was my birthday! I called last minute as I was in terrible pain and had found them via a quick Google search. Oh my gosh! So their deal is 50 off an hour but I had a hangout right after so they instead did it for free for half an hour. I cried at their compassion. The energy when you walk in is very soothing. I have chronic pain and mental illnesses and the combination of massage and sound bath raised my mood and soothed my pain. As Sue worked the area that was aching so bad we talked and she answered some questions for me. Also, she gives off such a warm and peaceful vibe which is important for relaxing and letting yourself be healed imo). I walked in feeling like death emotionally and physically. I walked out feeling peaceful and uplifted. Sue was very kind and suggested a sound bath and heat treatment to help me with my C-PTSD. My body was soothed, my mood was balanced.
