In years past, I took my shihtzu and Labrador to Beth for grooming and was always happy and so were the dogs! My last dog passed away about 5 years ago, so when we got "Emma", I didn't hesitate to return to The Spotted Dog. Samantha, the groomer, was so calm and reassuring to Emma and me:) she trimmed Emma's nails, cleaned her ears, and bathed and brushed her. She looks like a new and very nice smelling girl. I will be taking Emma back there soon. On a side note, the salon is very clean and tidy. I waited in the lobby for Emma to be finished and I enjoyed reading the magazines:) Thanks for caring about our critters, Spotted Dog,as much as we do! Update: After the Covid closure, Emma really needed a grooming. Brianna ace doggie stylist, didn't disappoint. She had Emma looking fine in no time. She has been hands down amazing with him. He always looks his best with her. I should say too when we tell him it's time to go see Cindy he wags his tail and gets excited. The minute she comes out to get him from the front she we drop him out, he goes crazy about her. He is immediately running for her or leaping out of our arms for her. He began refusing to go into building of the previous groomer we were using. We do not have this issue at Polished Paws, he easily gets out of the car and leads me into the building. Rebekah is always the groomer that we request. She is so nice and good Albie, not to mention he looks FANTASTIC when she is done. I think he is happier once he has all of his dead hair removed too. I highly recommend Rebekah and the Polished Paws team!!! Update: Sorry to say we can no longer trust this place. They charged us $180 for just a dog wash and no groom/trim. I've spoken with vets and done my research, so being dismissed like that was pretty unacceptable. On top of that, the food they're selling for budgies is outrageously priced and not even the right kind for proper care. It's really concerning that a pet store can't provide accurate basic information about the animals they sell. I wouldn't trust the advice here if you actually care about your pets. Me and my significant other visited for the first time January 5th 2026... everything was fine…read moreuntil we get to the very small reptile section.. there's only one leopard gecko and it seemed they couldn't even care enough to make sure it ate or anything... extremely malnourished.. laying deceased under it's carpet :/ I've just never seen a full grown leopard gecko in such bad shape it was so shocking I had to post it here... I've been feeling so bad for the poor guy, the worms that were in his feeding dish were still alive too so someone saw him like this and chose to not take action. beyond digusting. We never ended up informing an employee because they were all busy with customers and as were waiting for an employee some annoying lady walked passed with her kid making laughing at the poor thing... we just had to leave.
