Here we are just 3 days from my need for boarding and after numerous phone calls and emails that went unanswered, after jumping through all your hoops, you now tell me you have availability one week AFTER THE DATES I REQUESTED..  Yesterday I made other arrangements for Jackson with another facility tht was NOT my first choice.  Renee Hall, shame on you. I was willing to do whatever you required.  But you thought taking 4 days to respond to me was appropriate. And here we are.  I truly wish you had treated us better.  There's really nothing more to say.

The biggest challenges were that she does not get along with other dogs and needed to be socialized and trained on basic commands. Several of my neighbors recommended Hope Lock and I am so happy that we are in training there. We first completed private lessons with Wayne. Within a matter of minutes, he helped transform Blue's behavior, and my ability to handle her more effectively. Not only did he help socialize her with other dogs, he taught us some basic commands and obedience, while being very supportive and complimentary of our progress. We then started Basic Training wth Missy a few weeks ago, along with 11 other dogs and handlers. I am so pleased with how well Blue is doing, and so thankful we had the private lessons first. Missy is also a fantastic trainer, I was amazed at how quickly she got the group in order, 12 dogs of all shapes and sizes, and not all well behaved yet. She is patient but firm and has great results. I am so thankful for Wayne and Missy and her Team and the wonderful support at Hope Lock. These sessions helped further my bond with Blue, and have taught me so much about how to handle various situations. I am looking forward to continuing our training through intermediate and advanced levels. I highly recommend Hope Lock!! They really care about their clients and dogs and make such a meaningful difference in our lives with our pets!

We rescued our Catahoula Girl, Charlie, 2 years ago. She is very sweet natured but she was becoming more and more reactive to people and dogs. She weighs 76 pounds and is very strong. I had to get a handle on this powerhouse or one of us was going to get seriously hurt! She was starting to lunge at rabbits, men in hats, certain dogs, delivery trucks and something had to be done to protect both our safety! We had done a treat/reward based program and it only worked during class. Out in my neighborhood, where the rubber meets the road (literally), Charlie was completely uninterested and unmotivated by treats. She was much more motivated by her nose and her instincts! I was working hard but she was becoming more and more unmanageable. The first night of class, my instructor asked me if I wanted to try a pronged collar. This sounded so harsh and maybe even dangerous, so I said that I would see how it goes. Well, after 15 minutes of struggling with Charlie's willful behavior, I was willing to give that bad boy a try! All I can say is GAME CHANGER! They fitted my hooligan for a pronged collar and taught me how to use it correctly, so that it imitates the correction a pup feels from its mother. She grabs her youngster with her teeth and applies pressure to the neck and then releases her grip. Suddenly, Charlie was paying attention to me and she has been improving her focus and self-control, ever since. We are still working on socialization, but the experience has been an extremely positive one for us. I will give you one caveat about the instructors at Hope Lock. You'd better be prepared to put in the work and that includes weekly homework. These classes are not for slackers!!!

We dropped Angus off with Joe, who was quick to put our minds at ease. He showed us where Angus would be staying for the two weeks and explained everything about the training. We knew we left Angus in good hands. We received daily updates (photos and videos) via text which we loved. We were amazed how quickly he was learning his new commands and how well behaved he was (proud parents lol) Angus was a different dog when we picked him up. He was well behaved and quick with his commands. We took him and our other Shepherd to the local park; both were off leash and so well behaved. Angus stayed by my side in a perfect heel. It's been almost 8 months since his training and I've noticed -- without even asking him-- that he heels next to me as I walk. I highly recommend Off Leash Training and thank them wholeheartedly for training Angus.

I contacted Caitlin regarding training for my German Shepherd rescue who is 7 months old. After…read morecompleting the initial evaluation, I felt optimistic that she would be able to work with me to help train my puppy so I purchased her 7 session at-home one-on-one package. During that session she stated that my dog had anxiety which I believed could be true due to her unknown past. She had recommended supplements and a costly CBD oil. On the day of our first session, she called me at the time of our scheduled session and said she had brought along her dog as well as a dog she was board and training. She had not given me any prior notification that the dogs were along with her nor asked for my approval to bring them onto my property. For the first 15 minutes of the session, the dogs she brought along ran around my backyard and my dog (who is still warming up and settling in with new people and other dogs) was rightfully very timid and scared. She then asked me what we would be working on that day and I had voiced to her (in our evaluation session as well) that crate training was very important to me and for the safety of my puppy when leaving my home. She then commented that would require going in the house, where she brought the dogs into my home (once again without asking permission). The dogs continued to be a distraction to my dog who you could tell was incredibly stressed and uncomfortable, clearly unable to focus and train. At that time, she did remove the dogs from my house and brought them out to her car. At this point, we had about 10 minutes left in the session where she pivoted to a completely different subject and tried to train my dog who was still very uncomfortable and scared by what happened previously. She proceeded to make comments with no actual facts that my dog was acting that way because she is "in pain", "has a very weak back" and that her behavior is incredibly "abnormal". I rescued her from an extremely reputable German Shepherd Rescue where she had been examined by a veterinarian and deemed healthy for adoption. Leading up until the moment she and the other dogs arrived my dog was perfectly content and has shown no signs of pain or discomfort in the time I have owned her. I had started giving her the recommended supplements and CBD oil and had started noticing that she was having an easier time settling. She commented that she had noticed no changes in my dogs behavior and that I should start giving her more CBD oil -- once again, my dog was incredibly uncomfortable after the unfamiliar dogs were in our yard/home and her disposition showed that. After this extremely frustrating and disappointing session, I reached out to her to explain how I was dissatisfied by what had occurred during our training session and especially for the price of what her sessions cost. I also voiced how I felt as though the trust had been broken and that I did not believe she was the best fit for my dog and myself. I attempted to end the relationship amicably by requesting a partial refund since she had not fulfilled any services. She provided me a refund at the cost of one singular session (which now after doing further research is an astronomical rate). While I do not discredit that she has been in the business for quite some time, I regret not taking some of the reviews that have been written more seriously, as it appears others have had extremely similar situations where she has given a "medical diagnosis" regarding their pet's behaviors. During this short relationship, she made me feel as though there is something wrong with my dog and has caused us both an unnecessary amount of stress on top of financial loss.

Caitlin Nagy was recommended to us for the training of our pit/chow mix Reese. We inherited Reese…read morefrom our brother. We initially contacted her for help with what we saw as aggression in Reese. Even when my brother was alive it was next to impossible to form a bond with Reese. We figured that she is a one person dog. Simply put, we were scared of her. When we reached out to Caitlin for help her response was that there were reasons for Reese's behavior and that we would explore different avenues. We set up a house visit for our first training. On the day of our visit she explained that before working directly with Reese, she wanted to take a video of us walking Reese. After a couple of minutes of taking the video and observing Reese she determined we should consult with our vet. She was concerned that Reese might actually have a hip or knee problem and be in pain and in need of meds. We made that vet appointment and sure enough Reeese has knee problems. With proper meds, it is everyone's hope that this will relieve some of her pain and hopefully make it easier to work with her. Caitlin's approach is to look at the "whole" dog, as well as teaching us about dog language. We like this approach. Now that we are addressing Resse's physical issues we look forward to our next steps in helping us feel more confident and safe with Reese and her tendencies towards aggression. We understand that this is a process and look forward to working with Caitlin on the rest of this journey! Thank you so much Caitlin!

My dog would ferociously lunge, bark, foam at the mouth at anything anyone on a leash and off. It was very sad and heart breaking to me as my dog is my entire life. I took my dog Orson to Brady, and the results are truly jaw dropping. My dog on the right side of the image, can walk around people dogs without reaction or even caring. Orsons confidence is day and night difference. In the picture below he met the dog on the left 3 minutes prior to this picture and just then he was sitting right next to her relaxed as could be. 1 billion perfect recommend Brady. My dog was very well taken care of, in a very safe, loving comfortable environment and learned so much, as did I. My dog isn't " broken", or scared like ive seen with other trainers. That has always been a fear. Brady builds your dogs confidence up and it shows and the positive environment is created around them. Thank you so much! Dreams came true!

This email sent to Brady and Kelsi sums up our experience!…read more Hi Kelsi/Brady, As you know, we picked Brody up yesterday. We were all pretty anxious; worried about how everything would go once we returned home with him. The trainer Kylie, who met with us and handled the lesson wAs so thorough; answering all of our questions - some asked more than once- and teaching us what to do once we left with Brody. She really took her time with us, was patient and explained everything so well! Please extend our gratitude to her. Yesterday was a big day for all of us so we really just worked on basic commands with his prong collar and or his mini educator in our back yard. The kids and I took turns doing some short training sessions. He did really well and the anxiety over being able to create carryover from your facility to home started to lift. Today, my daughter and I took him for a walk through our town's "main street". The town is a bustling area; traffic, shopping, people on bikes, buses, mail men etc. We again used the prong collar and the mini educator. He was nothing short of a ROCK STAR! I can't even believe this is the same dog we dropped off to you guys. He walked beautifully... healing the whole way with little direction! At one point, I intentionally walked by a construction site that was fenced off and the fence had mesh on it. There were construction men walking right on the other side of the fence..... and SURPRISE.... Not a single reaction from Brody... he didn't even require redirection! After that we chose a bench in the busiest area and sat down with him... the bench was right next to the curb at the main intersection of two busy streets. Brody maintained a sit and stay for 10 min straight and immediately returned to position when corrected. At one point a man walked up to water a planter right next to us... and same... no reaction from Brody at all. He stayed in a down position when I told him to "leave it". I don't even know how to begin to thank you all. The change in Brody seems nothing short of a miracle and he is doing so much better than I ever hoped! Walking with him in town was actually a pleasure! I am so proud of him and his progress! We plan to take short trips out and about every day. If he continues to do really well, we are going to take him to an outdoor restaurant on Friday. I never imagined being able to do these things with Brody. Because of his old behaviors, just taking him to the vet was a source of anxiety. I always wanted Brody to be able to do these things because it would mean a better life for him and for us... you guys made that all possible! So, clearly I am rambling. Just wanted to say: THANK YOU ALL A MILLION TIMES OVER! Best, Heather Ericksen (and Family)
