Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love doing things with my daughter and would enjoy such a class but I also feel as though she needs the ability to follow directions, learn on her own and mingle with others her age. The benefit of the class here is that there's an option to do that which is great! Miss Jamie is wonderful and there's usually a young lady or two (teenage dancers) helping out as well. Each class is different from week to week with different music and activities. The owner and instructors are all very friendly (we only go one time a week so I only see a subset). The only thing that stinks is that you have to either sit on the floor inside which for some kids is okay but we learned last week that our tot doesn't really pay attention or participate if we are inside and we must then stand outside and look through some glass. Not ideal but also not a deal breaker. Great place to go to nonetheless and I can't wait to see the first recital!

I can't say enough good things about AMP Academy. My kids have been going to AMP's Ninja Kids…read moreclass for the past two years, and although they've since moved on to other interests (as many kids do), they've become better kids as a result. What I've noticed which is most important: EVERY kid is welcome regardless of their athletic ability, and every kid receives an equal amount of attention. There are no "favorites" here... Josh (the owner) and his instructors spend time helping every student use their own strengths to conquer each obstacle, and they also ensure that everyone in the class stays focused. No kid leaves this class feeling like they were left out. Class sizes are reasonable (usually around 10-12 students, less in the summer), and they set up new obstacles frequently so there's very little repetition. My review is based only on AMP's Ninja Kids class, but they've got an assortment of other classes as well; Parkour, Capoeira, etc. The first class is always free... even if it wasn't, AMP Academy would still be worth checking out.

He didn't actually say it made him tired but he was sweaty & out of breath, which I had hoped the other sports he plays (baseball, soccer, karate) would expend his energy, but gymnastics seems to be the most vigorous! He is going to be 7 in a few weeks & he really enjoyed the acrobatic and tumbling component! They had him almost doing almost full tucks (front flips) which he was dying to learn, during his first class- pretty impressive. The facility seems great & the staff seem great as well! The kids seem to love it too! I signed him up for the month- we will see if he wants to continue next month but I am sure he will! I'm happy this place is only 10 minutes from my house too!
