The therapist I dealt with had the audacity to act like my pain was an inconvenience to them. Sir/Ma'am, I'm here because your job is literally to fix that. If you're going to act bored and detached, please go find another profession -- maybe one that doesn't involve human beings. The entire vibe? Unorganized chaos wrapped in mediocrity. Their communication is so petty, sloppy, and inconsistent it makes you wonder if anyone actually works there or if the front desk is just an empty inbox echoing with unread emails. I went back and forth through multiple emails with their so-called "coordinator" -- and every single one made it clear she either didn't read, didn't care, or just didn't know how to do her job. Missed responses, half-answers, scheduling confusion, and zero follow-through. It's wild when you have to chase them down to remind them how their own system works. How are you in the business of helping people heal when you can't even manage a calendar or respond to an email properly? This place doesn't run on professionalism -- it runs on excuses and attitude. Unprofessional, negative energy, disorganized, and rude. Unclear timing on appointments. They scheduled the apointment, we arrived a little early, and the girl at the front with black hair just said "Take a seat." I ask if we need to do anything else, she says "no". She did not check us in, and the medical assistant had to go to each patient waiting on the waiting area to check everyone in. It was horrible. Then the Spanish strain is blasting with a soap opera. Seems to me there is not any efficient ownership or management in place. The wait time and some of the attitudes in the whole establishment definitely need a lot of work. I would not recommend this establishment. Further the owner/PT recommended 4 times a day for at home treatment. It was not a wise recommendation. This is why so many do not recover properly. Poses the question of what the intentions are and how one is to get the help they need after an injury. Definitely a NO. read more

I absolutely have East Bay Physical Therapy to thank for helping me with my incredible recovery from total knee replacement surgery. Prior to my surgery I had gone a few times to Golden State Orthopedic in Concord. What a waste of my time, money and gas!!! I will never go back there again and I will not recommend that place!! Dave is so knowledgeable and so sharp! Thanks to his expertise and professional staff people have a wonderful experience every time they get treatment. I started my therapy 5 day's post surgery and my range of motion is nearly at pre surgery. I have felt so much encouragement coming here that I NEVER felt at any other place. This place has everything including a pool for people to rehabilitate. Everything is so clean and neat! They have the latest and best equipment for every need. I had been injured several times over more than 10 years, was in and out of East Bay Physical Therapy. The owner Dave is very caring , doing what is best to help his patients. I always go back to this facility because of their professionalism and friendly staff. Daniel Randazzo , one of the the physical therapists had treated and worked with me on different injuries. He's very experienced professional, attends to the specify pain area of the patient. Upon working to relax the muscles to a point that can be stretched, he will start bending so I can gain more movement. East Bay Physical Therapy is an excellent physical therapy (PT) clinic. The staff are well trained and friendly. They have great quality equipment to assist in recovery from a large number of injuries, they have over a dozen PT beds in the open as well as private rooms for more discreet PT needs, and they have an indoor pool as well. Every person who has helped me has been great; I have not had a bad experience with anyone. Dave, the owner/manager, is hands on with every patient. The initial exam I had was very comprehensive and I felt confident in Dave's assessment of my injury and his plan for treatment. Prior to finding East Bay Physical Therapy, I had been to another PT clinic in the area (which I will not name); however, I was having difficulty getting them to call me to schedule an initial appointment for a new injury. After waiting over a month for the other clinic to call, I asked my doctor to send the referral to East Bay Physical Therapy. Within three days of my doctor sending East Bay PT the referral I received a call to set up my initial appointment. I am very thankful to have found such a wonderful PT clinic that has good front office staff as well as great physical therapists. The photos only show a portion of the clinic. I did not take photos of everything in order to protect the privacy of those who were using parts of the facility. It is a really nice facility. Overrated. Went to this facility based on many 5 star reviews and close to home so wanted this to work. Initial meeting was with Dave who doesn't speak much, even when I directly inquire treatment plan yielded no result. The newbie assistant who are over the place and usually distracted. On my last session was the final straw which happens to be a day before a holiday. As Dave is out, I end up seeing a lady PT which is much better than Dave but is multi-tasking with multiple patients and couldn't get the assistant and PT attention while waiting in the gym area doing stationary bike when I shouldn't be after a hip and leg injury. I end up leaving without getting the other routine needed as I was already waiting for 45 min and never return for my last session. At least I found a much better PT facility a little further away that is more engaging and caring to your recovery. But I personally would avoid EBPT if you want a meaningful recovery. read more

They were very friendly I liked everything that I saw them doing with clients. They had different machines that massage or did different things on the body they also massage people's arms and knees. I really need people who care about my well-being and getting me better and I am so ready to give it my all. I just started but Saul was my physical therapist and he was really great. I wish that Dave would have gave me his thoughts on what he could see and me in terms of what I need to work on or what he thinks is contributing to what I'm going through but he was very nice. read more

I was going to an unnamed physical therapy business in Pinole for months but my ankle was barely improving. I started going here and right away I saw improvement in the way I walked and the amount of swelling I had in my ankle on a day to day basis. The therapists are attentive and very good. The quality of service is super and organized. I especially appreciate the massages to my ankle and the opportunity to work out in the pool. I totally recommend this place. read more

Actually took care of pain instead of jumping into strength training. First time in, my pain decreased due to three modalities of pain management: red light therapy, massage then ice. Talented masseuse; attentive staff. First massage and treatment got rid of a lot of my pain; second massage felt a tad rushed but I shouldn't complain too much since treatment was far better than two closest PT places in Pinole and El Cerrito. Staff seems happy, which is a good sign too. Big therapy pool. Very happy. read more

Not to take away from the other Therapist, but Dave and Daniel are the best. It's evident they have a lot more experience. I'm not a complainer but I felt I wasn't getting enough of what I was there for. I finally approached Dave requesting to use someone else. Dave didn't hesitate granting my request and for the first time, using Daniel was a awesome experience. Left that morning feeling progress was achieved. I absolutely love the heated pool, very clean. This is an excellent PT place. I had PT for ruptured disc in L4-5. I was totally disabled and in pain. Gradually, I improved and now I am well but still continue my PT exercises. They are knowledgeable and experienced. My PT at East Bay, also examined and evaluated me before preparing my PT overtime. I recently was in a skiing accident and hurt my shoulder pretty bad. After 3 chiropractors and no progression, I found Dave's office EBPT. Within just the first couple weeks of therapy I was feeling better than ever! My range of motion is now great! I owe it all to Dave and his wonderful staff! Run away from this physical therapy center. It is a prime example of how capitalism destroys everything it touches including health care. For the first three weeks that I attended therapy sessions at EBPT I was treated like royalty, then when the boss assumed I was hooked he started cutting back, chiseling, cutting corners on my therapy sessions. When I began to politely ask why my therapy sessions were not as they were when I first entered the treatments the boss, David, actually used verbal abuse to intimidate me. I first started coming to East Bat Physical Therapy in 2009 for my back, they were wonderful then and wonderful now as my back has flared up again. I rarely have to wait more than 5 minutes, if that to be treated and they are flexible with my schedule. They care about my comfort and progress! They have a therapy pool with jets, the water allows me to move more than I can outside the water and the jets and relaxing for after my exercises, this is something you don't get at most places and this is a game changer! They stress healing and strengthening my core to give be a better quality of life and they don't rush my progress, I never feel like a number or a dollar sign here. All the staff is friendly, helpful and accommodating. If you need therapy, you owe it to yourself to give them a try. I've not only recommended this place to my husband but also my child, so you know it's great!! read more

Inadequate service and overcharged. This is mostly a massage therapy hole. Not sure all the staff that works on you is a graduate and licensed Physical Therapist. Guess checking on the Physical Therapy Board to make sure that this is a legit clinic in all aspects, if you know what I mean. Better to be safe than sorry. read more

East Bay Physical Therapy is amazing. Particularly with David and Daniel. My mom, 88 years old, has been having severe shoulder pain for over 6 months. The pain has gotten so bad that putting her clothes on has became a daily challenge and painful process. Due to the pain, she wasn't able to move around and actually has become a safety hazard to herself as she wasn't able to hold or brace herself to keep from falling. She's with CEI and they have done physical therapies on her over three weeks with 3 sessions per week. Over the course of three weeks, they have not helped my mom relief her pain one bit. I decided to go outside of CEI's network and obtain a doctor's note to bring my mom to East Bay Physical Therapy for help. After the first session, my mom already feeling 50% better, literally. She was able to move with little pain and almost has no problem putting her clothes on. After the second session, her pain was practically gone. She was amazed how much better she was feeling. After the 3rd session, she has absolutely no more pain and she is now able to move freely in every way. EBPT has done a phenomenal job in healing my Mom's shoulder pain. David and Daniel are simply amazing Physical Therapists, and they're among the top best in the field. They have improved mom my's life both in terms of safety and quality of living. I highly recommend EBPT to anyone needing reliable and effective physical therapy. read more

Referred thru Workers Comp insurance, local to my address. My first visit was with a young PT. Measured and got no relief. My second visit today which turned out to be with PT ("owner"), David, was a complete waste of time. Rude, didn't listen, hurt my thumb joints, didn't read referral carefully, when I asked what he could do, he didn't answer be absurdly rude and just said bye, bye, bye....:( I asked to speak to manager and to make sure this appt. would not count, I was then told to my great surprise that David is the owner, PT....As other reviews have stated, and what I heard from people waiting forever for their appts. at this location...NOT HAPPY....Don't waste your time coming here, unless you want to be ignored, hurt, insulted and further ignored...Thankfully, there are plenty of PT offices to connect with, who will treat you with respect and try to help alleviate your pain.
